28/02/2026: Unfortunately, it's closed. A wonderful surprise in the neighborhood! The Pha Long soup was exceptional ❤️, the private terrace was lovely, and the welcome was charming even though we arrived very late in July, in the middle of the week.

Large portions, I was able to take the leftovers with me and they're enough for another go! 😁 And all this at really good prices! I'd definitely come back!

21/05/2026: Where do I even begin with this hotel? The hotel's decor is okay; it's furnished in a medieval style, giving it a certain cozy, almost romantic feel. The lady at breakfast was friendly and satisfactorily fulfilled our requests. Upon arrival, we had access to a combination lock. Breakfast consists mainly of puff pastry and pretzels. If you want (and speak French), you can also order something from the counter; otherwise, there's fruit, yogurt, jam, and spreads. Unfortunately, I can't say such positive things about the hotel room itself. Sure, it's nicely furnished, and it definitely achieves the look of a medieval room, but the door was already heavy when we walked in, and we couldn't lock it because the cylinder lock was broken. We could only use a chain from the inside to secure the door. Secondly, the light in the bathroom didn't work, and another light above the sink didn't have a switch (or we couldn't find it). Also, the entire hotel room is tiled; you won't find a carpet here. The pictures show a fireplace, which isn't real, which isn't a big deal, but it didn't work either, nor did the heating. We managed to keep warm with blankets from a creaky wardrobe and an air conditioner on the wall set to 30 degrees Celsius. Finally, the cleanliness was a problem: cobwebs and dust were everywhere, including on the ceiling. The toilet was also dirty, with unidentifiable stains, and there were various stains in and around the bed and on the sofa. The table wasn't level and wobbled with every touch. The hotel itself is nicely located in the city center, and everything is easily accessible. Overall, it was okay for one night. We were a couple, but we won't be coming back.

17/05/2026: We ate there during our trip to Alsace, and the food was terrible. The pasta and quiche were awful. The staff wasn't very friendly either. I won't be back.

23/05/2026: We have never experienced such rude service in a restaurant as in this one. When booking online, you have the option to reserve from 6:00 PM onwards, which we did, as we had plans later. We arrived three minutes before 6:00 PM to find the door locked. We then went through an open doorway to the terrace. The restaurant door was open there, so we went in. No staff were visible, but suddenly a woman came and asked what we wanted. We explained that we had a reservation for 6:00 PM. She said in French that the restaurant didn't open until 6:00 PM. We all looked at our watches, and it was less than two minutes to 6:00 PM... She scurried off, leaving us standing there, spoke briefly with another waitress, and got dressed. The other waitress came and started chatting away to us in French. I asked if she spoke German... "No." She threw up her hands, gestured around the building, and we didn't understand a word. Only later did we realize that she meant we should leave and come in through the entrance on the street. They did eventually give us a table in the middle of the terrace. A waiter finally came with the menu. We ordered a drink. When he brought it, we wanted to order food, but he didn't even look at us and disappeared again. So we waited and waited. After fifteen minutes, my husband got up and went inside to see where he was. He came out of the kitchen and said in French, "Slowly, slowly." The food arrived fairly quickly. We had "troi filet," which, unfortunately, wasn't cooked very well for our taste. All three pieces of filet—pork, veal, and beef—were rare to very rare. We didn't like the atmosphere because smoking was allowed on the entire terrace, without a separate smoking area. Since the terrace was covered, we were exposed to the smoke. We were also surprised that the staff, so close to the border, spoke little or no German, or perhaps didn't want to... Apparently, they forget that they depend on Swiss guests for their livelihood. All in all, the staff were consistently unfriendly; we will certainly never come back and definitely won't recommend it.

29/06/2026: A very pleasant place, perfectly located in the old town, and the riverside terrace is fantastic. A big thank you to Jean-Marc and Julie for the service and conversation; a very good experience! I highly recommend it!

16/06/2026: The location in a tourist area certainly explains part of the price, but it doesn't justify everything. For the price, the portions are frankly small, and you leave without really feeling like you got your money's worth. One small but annoying detail: the fried potatoes were swimming in oil at the bottom of a tiny ramekin. It's the kind of thing that spoils the experience, even though it's so easy to fix in the kitchen. On the plus side, the staff is pleasant and smiling, which somewhat redeems the whole experience. In short, if you're passing through the area, why not? But for this price, you'll find better elsewhere.

30/05/2026: A few months ago, I regularly ordered pizzas here. Every time, the dough was undercooked. The evening staff often seem exhausted, even though the pizzas arrive quickly. One star, because the last two times I got sick after eating these pizzas. Raw dough clearly doesn't agree with me at all... This experience has at least had one positive effect: I've started cooking for myself again!

26/11/2025: Honestly, not great. Two trout tarte flambées. Either they were both way overcooked, or just plain old but not good! And we pointed it out, so we might as well not say anything... Dessert was fine. But honestly, if tarte flambée is just going to be made with stale, crumbly bread, they shouldn't even be offered!

14/11/2025: Hello, I only have one thing to say… why was there sugar in the syrup when I ordered a violet syrup? Otherwise, it's not great here.

08/03/2026: Absolutely revolting experience. (March 8, 2026; 3:30 PM) While I was in the restroom, a tattooed employee literally forced the door open to physically remove me. This is a blatant violation of privacy and a complete lack of professionalism. I have never seen an establishment treat its customers with such contempt and aggression. If you value your safety and dignity, avoid this place. Apparently, management allows its staff to act like lawless bouncers, even in the most private areas. A total disgrace to the neighborhood. ABSOLUTELY AVOID.

03/01/2026: The staff are pleasant, but the cocktails are mediocre. The cocktail menu is very extensive, but the basics are missing.

18/06/2026: With calf's head on the menu, they're taking people for fools, seriously. It's been a long time since I've eaten such a bad meal. Avoid it!

02/07/2026: We we visited Colmar, France in 2019 and found this lovely cafe along the canal. Plenty of seating available inside but it was a beautiful day so we choose the outdoor patio on the water. What a desire to see Swans, boats and gondolas go by as we ate a wonderful breakfast. Service was impeccable and there was no rush to get us out so of course we took our time

25/06/2026: I went for Mother's Day and my mother really enjoyed her fruit tea. However, the cheesecake was stale because I could feel that the edges of the cake had hardened. I ordered a Frappuccino (from the menu) and received a coffee with a few small ice cubes… not exactly what a Frappuccino is supposed to be, but thankfully, the coffee was good. The staff are young, which is great, but they clearly haven't received any training in customer service. It's a café that could be better managed because it's beautiful, cute, and comfortable.

24/05/2026: A haughty and very unpleasant welcome, France in all its splendor…do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

24/05/2026: A wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff. The appetizer, a mixed salad with nuts, croutons, and goat's cheese, was divine and the highlight of our visit. The cordon bleu was tough, dry, and deep-fried. If it had been cooked in butter, it would have been more tender. But every kitchen has its off days. The sauce, however, was perfect and delicious. The spaetzle were also of the highest quality.

18/06/2026: The saleswomen are very unpleasant... it's as if they only treat you based on your appearance. We come almost every day, but some of the saleswomen are very unpleasant. We're hesitant to come back. We also work in retail and understand some of the difficulties, but some of them should change careers. Sincerely.

28/05/2026: The sandwich was mediocre – it didn't hold together (the bread was floury) and the filling was bland. The slice of pie had half a centimeter of industrial icing on it, and the mirabelle plums were barely there, so there wasn't much to worry about. Very disappointed with this shop.

08/06/2026: The toast with ham, cheese, and béchamel sauce was an interesting dish and something I hadn't tried before. However, the ham flavor was almost impossible to notice, while the béchamel sauce was the most prominent taste in every bite. 🍽️
