27/07/2026: This place is listed as a Japanese restaurant on Google, but in my opinion, it's definitely a Chinese restaurant—the dishes are very much Chinese-style. Several dishes we ordered didn't match the photos on the menu. The photo for the fried rice showed shrimp, but it came with pork instead. The stir-fried vegetables looked different, but I can overlook that since seasonal vegetables vary. The fried chicken was supposed to be crispy with pepper and salt, but instead came coated in a sauce. The Mapo Tofu was bland, lacking both aroma and spiciness, though at least it wasn't the worst-case scenario of being overly salty. On the positive side, the seating area was clean and the staff were friendly, which earned them 2 stars. However, the food itself scores zero. Although it's listed as a Japanese restaurant on Google Maps, in my personal opinion, it's completely a Chinese restaurant, and the food is distinctly Chinese. We ordered several dishes, but the actual dishes differed from the photos on the menu. The photo of the fried rice (char siu rice) showed shrimp on top, but what was served had meat instead. The stir-fried vegetables might differ from the photo due to seasonal vegetable selection, but the fried chicken, which I expected to be crispy and seasoned with salt and pepper, came coated in sauce. The mapo tofu was bland, lacked flavor, and wasn't spicy, but thankfully it wasn't the worst possible version, "extremely salty." On the positive side, the seating was clean and the staff were friendly. Therefore, I gave it 2 stars, but I cannot rate the food at all.

19/05/2026: The promotional game is a SCAM!!! I won a voucher for a free meal, but when I tried to use it to pay for my meal, they told me it wasn't valid that time but for a future order. I went back a few days later, and the restaurant refused to honor the voucher. Also, be careful when paying; they make "mistakes" with the amount.

17/08/2026: We ate there last night, the four of us. We ordered sushi, sashimi, yakitori, ramen, and a duck dish, so we explored the menu and everything was perfect. The raw fish was fresh and flavorful, the yakitori incredible, the ramen broth divine, and the duck dish delicate and full of flavor. The welcome was warm and the service quick. We were delighted, and I highly recommend this place.

17/08/2026: Enjoyed this lovely spot for a late dinner. Sat at the counter and watched the talented chefs, who personally served us a delicious Canard (duck) dish with sweet sauce and amazing sweet potato gratin. Atmosphere was bustling so the bus service was a fast pace and could slow down to provide customers a more relaxed environment. Loved the Japonais cuisine, though!

14/08/2026: What a fantastic discovery on Rue Sainte! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish. Everything was delicious, especially the bowl with the melt-in-your-mouth beef and runny egg. The presentation in the blue wave-patterned bowls was exquisite and immediately enticing. The okonomiyaki was also perfect, generously topped with bonito flakes that seemed to dance on top. A must-visit for lovers of authentic Japanese cuisine in Marseille. We'll be back very soon.

14/08/2026: What a joy to have discovered this place on Rue Sainte! We had a wonderful time; everything was perfect from start to finish. The quality of the food is truly remarkable. I particularly appreciated the elegant presentation of the small glass dish, topped with a touch of very fresh strawberry. It's rare to find such attention to detail. We will definitely be back. A must-visit for lovers of fine cuisine.
