21/01/2025: I love chicken karaage and ramen, yet I left the restaurant in under ten minutes with most of my food unfinished. The chicken was dry and had an off taste. I was actually afraid of eating it. I asked for the soy-based broth, not the seafood, and the broth tasted like seafood. No nori in sight, so I have to question where that taste came from. Very salty and poor quality.
18/01/2025: I took an L sized Karamiso ramen and karaage. The portion is generous and the ramen is pretty decent. I wouldn't recommend the karaage though. Service is friendly too.

29/11/2024: I wanted to love this place. I got excited to see this on Michelin Guide and wanted my eel fix. I’ve been to Japan 3 times and this was not the same experience. The eel was just ok, nothing special about it. It lacked the outer crispiness/char and didn’t have enough umami. The food came out so fast that unfortunately it didn’t feel like there was a more thoughtful preparation of this beautiful ingredient.

09/09/2024: It’s not exquisite but tastes like home, with thick-cut fish and sashimi, hand-made side dishes, a lively toasting atmosphere, and the ridiculously nice boss... Comfort food from the community, I don’t want to recommend it to others, I just want to keep it to myself.
07/09/2024: Arriving here by chance, we immediately perceived the authentic side of this restaurant. No frills and simplistic decor but REAL Japanese and a menu that also offers makis and sushi although of course there is some.
It took us a little time to get to grips with the menu but we really liked what we tasted and the attentive welcome from the owner. To be redone and distributed

01/09/2024: We enjoy dining at this restaurant every time or getting takeout.
We were given a very warm welcome upon our arrival, and throughout the meal if we dined on site.
It's very pleasant to dine inside or on the terrace.
All the dishes we have (hors d'oeuvres, tempuras, rolls, makis, sashimi, skewers, etc.) are very well prepared with fresh, good quality products.
The prices are very affordable.
A big thank you to the staff (kitchen and service) for these pleasant evenings full of pleasure.
We will return.

Un très bon accueil nous est réservé dès notre arrivée, et tout le long du repas si l'on dîne sur place.
C'est très agréable de dîner à l'intérieur comme en terrasse.
Tous les plats que nous prenons (hors d'œuvres, tempuras, rolls, makis, sashimis, brochettes, …) sont très bien préparés avec des produits frais et de bonnes qualités. Les prix sont très abordables.
Un grand remerciement donc au personnel (cuisine et service) pour ces agréables soirées pleines de plaisirs.
Nous y retournerons.

17/06/2025: A good Japanese restaurant with a very reasonable price/quality ratio. I ate in the dining room, but next to a wide-open window, and the weather was pleasant. The service is friendly: you can chat with the server, and he gave good recommendations for dessert.
18/05/2025: Although the dishes are the same as those in many other Japanese restaurants, they are prepared with care here. In particular, the skewered salmon is cooked to perfection!

24/09/2024: Passing through Nice for our family trip, we had a great time as a family in this Japanese restaurant. We were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes (Katsudon in particular). Each flavor was authentic and perfectly mastered, a real treat for the taste buds! Even my Japanese in-laws, who are used to traditional Japanese food, were impressed. It's rare to find such quality outside of Japan, and even more so in France.
If we pass through Nice again, we will come back without hesitation!
Congratulations to the chef for this successful culinary journey.

17/12/2024: Extremely overrated! Every time I come to Paris, I see a long queue outside and the Google Maps rating is 4.6. To be honest, I don’t understand it after eating it. I ordered salmon and spicy chicken rice balls with a side of fried chicken nuggets. There is so little meat in the rice ball that you can hardly tell what it is, and 95% of the rice has no seasoning. There were chicken feathers visible to the naked eye on the chicken skin of the fried chicken nuggets, and I didn’t even have the desire to take pictures.

24/03/2025: The sushi is very good and well made, the welcome is very friendly, the prices are reasonable: nothing but good in this little shop, and the icing on the cake: always fast service. A big plus for this restaurant 5 minutes from Gare de Lyon, where tourist traps abound.
19/03/2025: Passing through Paris twice, I couldn't help but order 3 times in total during my stays and each time I enjoyed it. The quantities and qualities are by appointment. Very happy with this find. For those who are lucky enough to pass by or live nearby: go for it without hesitation.
