22/05/2026: The food is excellent, no complaints there, and the place is lovely. I wanted to give it five stars, but a lackluster service prevents me from doing so. I'll explain. Among our various orders, there was an appetizer that didn't arrive. At a certain point, we mentioned it to the staff, who, after a while, told us that the tuna was unfortunately out of stock, which is certainly disappointing. I also heard from a table next door that the rice was also out of stock. This is truly unacceptable in a Japanese restaurant of this caliber. At the very least, people should have been notified before sitting down. I was also perplexed by the choice to use wooden chopsticks; from a restaurant of this caliber, I would have expected more premium service. That said, I repeat, every course was of a high standard and quality, including the sushi. I'm eager to return and give it a fifth star, hoping it was just a slightly off night with the service.

02/01/2026: For New Year's Eve, I ordered an assortment of sushi and skewers from AJI-SUSHI. It was my first time, but certainly not my last. The food was delicious, and the owner has a real knack for business, which is a valuable quality these days. Thank you, and see you soon.

20/08/2025: A little haven of peace in the heart of Aix! The sushi is delicious, the service is fast and very welcoming. The atmosphere is calm and warm, perfect for enjoying a quiet meal. Special mention for the house cocktail, a real treat. I highly recommend it!

22/12/2025: I was there in 2011. I spent several time since then looking for this place. The dessert "Financier au Thé Vert" is so tasty I still remember It. Please, if you go remember to take it. It's one of the BEST desserts I've ever eat. I wish to go back yo Paris and be able to take it again.

21/05/2026: I visited last summer in July at the tail end of a very long trip. I hadn't eaten for 12 hours and I wanted just one thing before going home: Good Japanese food. The Sakura auspiciously shares its name with two of my closest friends, so I went and decided to try a little bit of everything they had to offer, which ended up being two of their menu options: a sampler of yakitori skewers and some karaage, both of which came with its own serving of rice and veggies. All of that topped with a nice cold mug of Asahi. It was so good, and I needed it so much, I genuinely teared up while eating. Yeah, really! Believe it or don't! I came in outside of rush hour so I was the only one in the restaurant at the time. I can't say if this restaurant is any loud or packed full of people at the usual times, but in a way, I hope it does. That said, the quiet did make the atmosphere excellent. Calm and relaxing, just how I like it. The staff was very kind and professional, and I was more than happy to leave a tip, it was worth it. 有難うございます！また戻ってくるよ！！

28/05/2026: It's "amazing" to watch dishes being prepared in front of customers on a hot plate; it's an experience not to be missed. And when the food is excellent and the Japanese chef is friendly, answers your questions, and engages in conversation, what more can you say?

24/05/2026: Probably the best restaurant in Cognac, excellent cuisine and a chef who goes the extra mile. The only downside? It's not well-known enough in Cognac; people don't know what they're missing.

06/02/2026: Very pleasant and calm atmosphere, beautiful deco with Japanese pop music! Ordered vegetable ramen and it was filling with a variety of vegetables and not too salty just right. Matcha latte was warm and not too sweet. They also had a merchandise area with Japanese daily items with post it that explains the Japanese culture behind the items. I bought some items because I really love the prints!
