04/07/2026: This restaurant was recommended to me; it doesn't look like much from the outside, but honestly, I don't regret it. I get takeout at least twice a month, and I've never been disappointed. As for the quality and price, frankly, there's nothing to complain about—it's super good!

05/06/2026: After my visit today, I have to change my opinion. I used to love it; everything was always spotless, the staff was pleasant, etc. I went there very regularly. But this was the last time I'd ever set foot in the place. Unbelievable. We're disappointed by the change of ownership. There were mistakes with the orders: first, three-quarters of them were missing, then we were given too much. We received dishes we hadn't ordered, some people had to wait a long time for their orders, instead of six spring rolls we ended up with about fifteen, and the same with the ravioli instead of eight. Initially served in portions of four, we were given three, then bombarded with ravioli without understanding why. I turned around and saw the waiter behind the counter with an orange iPhone pointed at me, and once he caught me, he didn't take his eyes off me until I left. Very awkward at the time. We ordered a 15cl carafe of sake, as usual, but were brought a small glass. We pointed out the mistake, and they said, "There's none left, wait, I'll bring you a second glass." They brought us an empty glass, "so you can share it"???????? €5.50 for half a sip each??? After thinking about it, I should mention that they offered the sake for free. I'd say that's the least they could do. As for the quality of the food, it has changed drastically.... Very disappointed. The noodles have turned into spaghetti. Everything was very dry. I know the restaurant is going to change. Regarding the previous owners, it's a shame to see you leave. I should also mention that the person who was with me today left feeling unwell. For a moment, I seriously thought it was a hidden camera prank, but absolutely not. This meal was worthy of a comedy sketch, but it was the last time I'd eat there.

29/04/2026: As a regular customer, one day during a click and collect order, the cashier charged me once, but the card reader shut down. He insisted I pay again, saying it was a glitch. Unfortunately, it wasn't a glitch; I was charged twice. After sending proof from the bank, making several calls, and sending text messages to the manager, I still haven't received my refund. It's frustrating for €60. Nevertheless, the sushi was excellent.

Each dish is beautifully presented, colorful, and expertly crafted, with original flavor combinations and perfectly balanced textures. Special mention goes to the Lobster Crispy Roll, a stunning creation made with tapioca and konjac. The setting is elegant, modern, and welcoming, ideal for a delightful experience. The service greatly contributed to this wonderful experience: our server was attentive, friendly, and offered excellent recommendations tailored to our tastes. Her suggestions proved to be spot-on choices. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to discover inventive and generous plant-based cuisine. We will definitely be back.

18/07/2026: An unacceptable experience. Today, July 18th, I had booked a table and traveled all the way to Paris solely for this restaurant. Upon arrival, I found the doors closed, without a single call, text, or email to inform me of the closure. This is a profound lack of respect for customers. I wasted my time, money, and made a completely pointless trip. I am more than disappointed: I am outraged by such a lack of professionalism. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment. 😡 Unfortunately, I cannot give zero stars!!!!

06/06/2026: Tastes are very subjective, it's true, but for me, this is the best ramen in France! Having not been to Japan long enough, I wouldn't dare say the world, but in my heart, it's practically the same ;) The broth, the quantity, the ingredients, and the balance of flavors are perfectly executed, right down to the dessert (matcha tiramisu being a standout). Another testament to its quality: the restaurant has been around for almost 15 years!! I've been a regular since it opened and I've never been disappointed. Although I no longer live in Lyon, I love making pilgrimages back :) So, if you love ramen, go without hesitation, and if you're new to ramen, this is the best place to discover it ❤️ Long live Okawali!
