15/02/2026: A wonderful time this Friday at lunchtime. The atmosphere was pleasant and friendly, and the setting was elegant.
The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and truly delicious: very tender salmon, high-quality tuna, and perfectly ripe avocado.
The service was friendly and attentive.
A great place for Japanese food lovers, which I highly recommend. I'll definitely be back! ✨
02/02/2026: Ordered from the website. Takeaway meal arrived 15 minutes later, everything was ready and served with a smile!
All the dishes were delicious, and the platters come with soup, coleslaw, and white rice—a very generous portion.
A great place to eat!

10/12/2025: I ordered a bowl which turned out to be bad; the cabbage was the kind soaked in sauce that's usually served as a starter, the avocado was unripe, and the tuna didn't seem fresh. It's not worth €16.

07/03/2026: Loyal customers, what a surprise it was this evening when, at the checkout, we found the bill had gone up again! Since the new evening menu concept, we've seen numerous adjustments based on the owner's whims, with no explanation anywhere on the menu! Now, the number of €3 supplements is limited, without any prior notice. We'll be coming back much less often, perhaps not at all. I find this very unfortunate.

07/12/2025: My first experience at Matsuya was rather mixed. But I went back once, twice, ten times, and in the end, it's truly excellent sushi. The creative rolls are really very good, and the more classic dishes are just as good. It's become my go-to sushi place; I go at least once a month.

Family-run restaurant. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Ideally located at the train station and very close to the Colosseum.
Everything is delicious. Fresh ingredients.
We'll definitely be back :)
18/02/2026: The portions were generous and the sushi was good; despite the amount of rice, the fish was fresh and flavorful. However, we didn't like the Bo bun because it had very little meat or sauce and consisted almost entirely of white rice noodles.
