01/11/2025: The owner gave us a cold welcome, we were practically bothering him.... He should close on a public holiday if he's so bothered by working....anyway, I won't be going back.

28/10/2025: I really like this place; the owners are friendly, the food is simple and very good. The café/restaurant is clean, and the music is discreet and well-chosen. Furthermore, the terrace gets plenty of sunshine, and the view of the thermal park is lovely. I recommend it without hesitation.

19/06/2025: After a bike ride with friends, we stopped at the Auberge du Palais. What a pleasure it was to have stopped there. We were very well received, the food was delicious and the presentation was top notch. I highly recommend this inn. A big thank you to the chef and the waitress.

09/03/2026: We had a wonderful time. The room is spacious, and the seating is comfortable. It had a family atmosphere, and the service was impeccable. I didn't enjoy my dessert, and I didn't intend to say anything, but the waitress saw on my face that I didn't like the taste and replaced it immediately. The two 9-year-old boys settled down at the bar to watch the match, just like they were at home. Really nice! Thank you for a lovely evening.

30/12/2025: I stopped by for a coffee today. One of the employees was smoking behind the bar, and it's not the first time I've noticed. It's unacceptable. Despite my comment, he continued, drinking his beer at the far end of the bar. I think he works in the kitchen; I can only imagine the constant smell of cigarettes there. The selfishness of a smoker who only thinks about himself!

19/03/2026: As a regular customer, I came in last night, a little before closing time, and I was very disturbed by the way a manager (recognizable by her different t-shirt) spoke to an employee in front of the customers. The tone was inappropriate, and the situation was truly sad to witness. Respect and professionalism should remain essential, especially in public.

06/03/2026: Very disappointed, I don't understand the 4.5 rating. Bad experience, the price was reasonable but the quality of the food is deplorable, let me explain: Starter: baked egg, poorly cooked Main course: andouillettes, of the three plates, one had more sauce than andouillette, which supposedly burst during cooking, the fries were swimming in oil Cheese: the only positive point Dessert: tiramisu, a joke, full of water, and a large, rock-hard chocolate chunk, supposedly Nutella The waitress was pleasant, but no, we won't be back given the disappointing taste.

05/04/2026: We ordered takeaway food. The coconut rice was very basic and lacked flavor, especially considering the price of a container at €6 per person. The starter and main course were also quite bland. We were rather disappointed with the value for money.

13/02/2026: Why is this restaurant so expensive? You expect it to be excellent in return? Wrong. It's mass-produced food in disguise. With a few exceptions, and if you're even remotely a foodie, it's really not good at all... Keep walking, there are so many better options elsewhere!

11/03/2026: A small brasserie where the food is really good. Fast and generous service. The staff is professional. This brasserie is located in the Auchan shopping center, with parking available nearby. The prices are quite reasonable for a good meal.

19/03/2026: Don't expect the owner to buy you a drink. €200 for three people and not a single round paid for. The food is decent, the prices are reasonable, but there's absolutely no customer service. Thanks, goodbye.

21/02/2026: A very pleasant place thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff, especially the young man who served us at the end of a busy day... generous and good quality cuisine, and finally, a beautiful view of the Roc and the start of the slopes – in short, a must-visit during a stay in Chastreix.

26/01/2026: I had mixed feelings about this "Brasserie." The set menus were very expensive, and the portions weren't particularly generous. I was disappointed every time I visited, despite several attempts. In 2025, I noticed a real improvement, which is why I'm raising my rating. However, I still find the set menus a bit pricey. In 2026, there was another decline in the quality of the food and service, along with a further price increase. Therefore, I'm reverting to 3 stars.
