04/03/2026: Hello, I just left the bakery. You really have to be hungry to come here! You felt like you were bothering them. The saleswomen were unpleasant, especially the youngest one. Sorry, but a smile is optional, yet in a business it's important. She should change careers. Sorry for the comment, but I won't be back.

27/03/2026: A superb hotel, tastefully renovated throughout, it's a truly peaceful and welcoming place. The "campanile" (bell tower) lives up to its name, with a charming path winding through trees, beautiful plants, and shrubs, leading to the rooms. Whether inside or out, you're guaranteed a pleasant stay. Breakfast caters to all appetites, including vegetarians with gluten-free options. Freshly squeezed orange juice puts you in a great mood for the whole day! Dinner is also available at a traditional restaurant or pizzeria near the rooms, offering both dine-in and takeaway options. A wonderful and comprehensive experience. I'll be back this summer and will take the opportunity to play a game of pétanque (boules are available at reception) with my daughter! Thank you for the warm welcome :)

30/12/2025: The hotel is aging; the rooms are poorly soundproofed and the premises are outdated. However, the staff are welcoming.

07/02/2026: The owner was friendly and kind, we stayed one night and that was more than enough! There's a huge need for renovation to justify charging €110 a night! (Intermittent hot water, poor quality bedding, musty-smelling towels), the bedroom door was difficult to open – perhaps they should provide a crowbar at reception? 🤔 At breakfast, the owner, always very kind, seated us at a table, but his daughter came in yelling that we shouldn't sit there 🤔 Coordination is essential in this kind of work... Still in the same aggressive tone, she told us "you have to go there"... if you don't want to do this job, you shouldn't do it, especially when you have a hotel in this state of disrepair, restored in 1930, and even then! 😂 Afterwards, we paid around €160 (breakfast included!). His daughter wants us to pay another 30 euros for breakfast, even though it was already included with the room. And when we point it out, she haughtily tells us, "Well, that's fine, we don't charge anyone," and walks away... 🤔 Something's not right here. The location certainly helps fill a hotel in this state! It's blatant robbery at that price; I think 30 euros a night would be a much better rate for this establishment. Absolutely avoid this place—the worst hotel we've ever stayed in!

24/01/2026: Very welcoming hosts, they went out of their way to accommodate a special diet, and were very friendly. A very cozy corner by the wood-burning stove. It was wonderful to be able to sleep in a 14th-century building!

25/03/2026: Craving authentic African cuisine? This is the place for you in the heart of Clermont-Ferrand! The food is delicious, the portions generous, and the service friendly. They also have a good selection of drinks. Be sure to book ahead, though, as seating is limited.

The staff are exceptionally kind: welcoming, warm, and always ready to chat and share their invaluable advice about the region, hikes, and activities. You immediately feel at home and truly pampered throughout your stay. The rooms are very comfortable, and the beds are pure bliss. After a great day of hiking, you sleep soundly and recover perfectly. And the restaurant… a true marvel! Delicious, generous dishes, prepared with care. The portions are substantial, so come with a good appetite. A must-visit in the area. Be sure to ask for the local verbena digestif—a wonderful discovery! A huge thank you for this warm welcome and superb stay. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back! The Breton :)

05/02/2026: Stopping for the restaurant was a mistake I won't repeat! The welcome was perfect, but far too expensive for the quality and quantity of the meal. Catering services are better. I think that's the area that needs improvement.

30/01/2026: Restaurant with a set lunch menu. The service was fine, however, the quality and presentation of the food left much to be desired; there were no fresh ingredients, not even the bread. It was truly uninteresting.

11/03/2026: Their number is no longer in service… I've ordered three times and three times my order has been wrong. The sauce is the wrong one, and the ingredients are off too, ending up with things I didn't order. The Uber Eats "buy one, get one free" deal has never been honored; there was always only one sandwich! Today, I got two sandwiches with the ingredients reversed and mixed up. If you don't want to do your job properly, someone else can do it for you!

04/03/2026: Honestly, the manager and her team are fantastic and incredibly friendly. I love spicy sandwiches, so I came for lunch today to try the Asian sandwich, on the manager's recommendation, and it was excellent. I really enjoy their sandwiches, especially the pastrami and bacon. However, I don't appreciate them as much as the lovely young woman with the beautiful eyes who is the manager. Arnaud
