29/09/2024: Hello! The Trekking Pawns here! Wondered around looking for food and what ultimately stopped us here was the smell. We looked at the menu and decided to give it a try. We couldn’t decide what we wanted and saw a sign for a set menu. So we gave that a try. We kept seeing people get the mussels and so we tried that and it was fantastic! The rest of the food was mediocre though. The Bouillabaisee smelled nice but didn’t taste as nice. I’ve always wanted to try it, but did expect more flavor. The table bread came with no butter or olive oil, just mediocre bread. The salmon was cooked well, but didn’t have as much flavor as we’ve had before. The crème brûlée for dessert was lovely but the tiramisu seemed just put together and then lady fingers not soaked in coffee, just a cake in creme with cocoa on top. The setting in the street was nice, but a bit chilly as the sun went away. No heaters provided at this time of year.
26/09/2024: Deception and disappointment. Waiters are young and unprofessional. They gave only one piece of butter and piece of lemon to a portion of oysters, it's a shame and stinginess. Brought an already opened bottle of water to our table, as they often serve free water in many restaurants in Nice, but then included it in the bill for €5.50!!! The ashtray was brought when we were about to leave. It seemed that all employees, together with the owner, were tired of guests and work, although there were no guests in the restaurant, we did not feel friendly from them, none of them even smiled during the dinner. Good luck, draw your own conclusions, I described my true impressions. There are many other restaurants in Nice with good food and excellent waiters, where I leave a tip with pleasure

17/11/2024: Très bon restaurant. Nous étions en groupe de 17 personnes. Ce restaurant nous a accepté ce qui est rare. Le menu était complet et le service rapide avec des serveurs bien aimables. Le restaurant n'étant pas loin du château en centre ville je le conseille auX personnes qui veulent venir en groupe notamment .
13/11/2024: Ce bar est très joli. Dommage que l'on attende si longtemps pour la prise de commande, nous avons dû nous manifester deux fois car le serveur passait et repassait sans même nous regarder. Je suis d'accord qu'il y avait beaucoup de monde mais ce n'est pas trop bien organisé. Finalement nos crêpes, bonnes en soit, sont arrivées presque froides.

20/10/2024: 8 night stay from August 10 to 18, 2024. We arrived after 7 p.m., everything had been prepared by the receptionist in a secure box. However, upon arrival we were very disappointed. The residence is dilapidated and in its original state. The common areas (especially the stairs) were dirty. When we arrived upstairs, an unpleasant smell was present as well as in the studio. Concerning the studio, it was not at an acceptable level of cleanliness. Indeed, only the bathroom was clean (except for the shower curtain). The kitchenette was not clean, the dishes very dirty (cup with traces of coffee, pan - see photo), the refrigerator frosty, crumbs in the cupboard, cupboard above the kitchenette greasy (not cleaned for several weeks) and the inventory was not up to date. All the furniture is dusty and dirty (traces of cups on the bedside tables, sticky remote control). When we arrived at 9 p.m., we had to clean up; for example, we cleaned the headboard before putting on our sheets, the wipe did not come out white (unsurprisingly). As soon as we arrived, we communicated by SMS with the person and attached photos. The next morning we then spoke. The conversation was quite tense, the receptionist then asked us if what we were looking for was a refund for the stay. This was absolutely not our intention. We simply wanted an apology, for her to acknowledge the facts and do what was necessary; At the end of the conversation, it was agreed to change the shower curtain and the pan (which was done) and to clean the dishes (which was not done). Regarding the lack of maintenance, the receptionist suggested that this was indeed a problem, but that it was obviously not her responsibility (obviously that of previous customers!!!). Please note, however, that the end-of-stay cleaning fees were offered to us as well as the presence of the dog: we appreciated this commercial gesture. However, this in no way takes away the unpleasant attitude of the receptionist, who speaks in a haughty tone and seems little understanding of the disappointment we may have when arriving on vacation in such conditions. At the time of booking, we unfortunately did not anticipate the question of parking, there is no parking adjacent to the hotel. It is difficult to find a place outside the blue zone (beware of lawsuits if parking in unauthorized spaces or if the disk is not updated every 3 hours). Likewise, we had booked for the proximity to the beach (ideal location) but we had not inquired about the beach accessible to dogs which is located 2 km away. In summary, a dilapidated establishment, a studio which could do the job for a short stay if the cleanliness was correct. A bottle of water and at least a roll of toilet paper would be welcome on arrival.
29/09/2024: The location right on the beach is perfect. It's a 5-minute walk to the restaurants in the city center. Unfortunately there is only some cleaning and not much renovation. The rooms are functionally equipped, but everything is somehow old and shabby. You could invest 50 euros in each room so that you have the same glasses, cutlery and plates. The ladies at reception are very nice and helpful. Why you have to pay for bed linen from the 7th day is a mystery to me - if you only stay for 3 days it's free.

18/09/2024: Un peu plus 17€ pour un petit plat de moules (minuscules !) au curry, mais il serait plus exact de parler de sauce au curry agrémentée de quelques moules ! Et les frites on n’en parle pas , recuites et grasses. Et la serveuse qui se fait apostropher vertement par le patron ou le collègue, devant les clients , pas terrible comme ambiance. Nous n’y retournerons jamais .

23/08/2024: We were well received, attentive waitress… On the other hand the dishes... we are really disgusted to have paid this price for what we ate... A steak with 3/4 nerve and fat. A very rubbery tuna. In short, very poor quality food. The value for money is catastrophic. Served very quickly, on the other hand, but we know why… Once the dishes were served we had to ask for our cocktails which we had not had… In short, a real tourist trap! Only the view is pretty but there you go… Go on your way, tourists. I should have looked at the reviews first!

17/08/2024: We now know where the controlled designation “Tourist trap” comes from. Amazing prices, smile and “hello” as a paid option, in short a deplorable welcome. When we don't like tourists we do something else. I wanted to give 0 stars but I only gave one for the service in order to put the review. Our group of 12 people could have consumed in good spirits but in the end we simply got up and walked 5 meters to find ourselves at the friendly and shopping neighbor's house. I highly recommend Lou Cabana and his amazing team. Plus their pancakes are excellent. Kisses
17/08/2024: It's like Citronno Pipo, there's nothing more expensive and there's nothing worse. Waiter crossed with a tombstone, as friendly as he is professional. Apparently the establishment was a former prison... Run away!!!!! Head to the harbor right next door which will welcome you with a smile at least!

05/11/2024: Fuyez On vous amène 2 dorades grillées au barbecue.... qui sont froides, idem pour le riz. Des brochettes de crevettes tièdes avec des frites froides... et une entrecôte à la place d'une pizza. Finalement la pizza arrive 1 minute après et quand on signale que les 3 plats sont froids (on les a depuis 2 minutes seulement), la gérante nous balance avec son chewing-gum en bouche (très élégant...) " je vous préviens, ce sera réchauffé au micro ondes" , en même temps on n'a pas trop le choix du coup. Au lieu de s'excuser pour ce souci, c'est nous qui devons accepter l'incompétence du service. Pour continuer la série, en plein repas, un serveur ramasse les pots de sauces individuelles dans demander si on en veut... merveilleux ! Compte tenu de ces mésaventures successives, nous nous sommes abstenus de prendre un dessert. Aucune ristourne bien sûr. Donc Fuyez ! Nous aurions dû lire les avis google et trip advisor avant.😏 Et ne pas nous fier aux premiers sourires pour attirer les clients car après on vous fait comprendre que vos demandes (légitimes) les agacent.
03/11/2024: Poisson correct, moules marinière sans goût, frites sûrement congelées pas assez cuites, vin accroche . service tellement long on a évité dessert et café. Impression d un self à table: peu de sourire et d attention envers la clientèle. L établissement bénéfice du cadre de la place principale et d une belle progression cependant notre essai ne sera pas transformé
