P.S.: Remember to book ahead, it can get very busy at lunchtime!

14/04/2026: A very nice, family-run, and friendly restaurant. The service is good, neither too rushed nor too slow. A very decent and high-quality selection. In short, it's a pleasant place to be, and even better when the weather is nice enough to sit on the terrace overlooking the bay.

Located in the hamlet of Caverne near St. Loubès, at the foot of the Dordogne River, this restaurant boasts a large and beautiful room, ideal for gatherings and celebrating special occasions. :) The meal was excellent, as was the service: I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return for a smaller gathering. :)

Appalling service. I'm still in shock at the lack of respect shown by these people. Avoid at all costs. Getting yelled at for four knefe (a type of dumpling) is pathetic.

I would like to clarify a few points following your response.
As you yourself stated, I called you back at 7:11 PM, one minute after the reservation was canceled, simply to understand why it had just been canceled. At that time, I had just noticed that there had been a problem with the phone number registered on the reservation. The number provided was incorrect, which explains why I never received the messages you claim to have sent.
My call was therefore solely intended to understand the situation and, if possible, find a solution.
From my very first question, I was met with a very aggressive attitude. I tried my best to remain calm in order to explain the situation and understand what had happened, but you didn't give me a chance to speak, and the tone immediately escalated.
If I finally lost my temper, it was precisely because I was verbally attacked and couldn't get a word in edgewise to try and defuse the situation. I even have two witnesses :)
I absolutely will not allow you to call me a liar or to disrespect me publicly. A professional must remain measured in their remarks, even when disagreeing with a client.
Furthermore, online review rules do not permit insults, personal accusations, or public threats. Your current response unfortunately illustrates this and simply confirms the behavioral problem I mentioned in my initial comment.
Therefore, I stand by my review, which reflects my experience, and I do not intend to delete it. Readers will form their own opinions based on this exchange.

15/03/2026: The place is pretty and welcoming. However, the cleanliness of the glasses and walls wasn't up to par. As for the food, the presentation was good, the meat was cooked properly, but the taste was lacking. The salad, while visually appealing thanks to its shape, was quite small.

07/04/2026: Ordering three Ultra Boxes was a huge disappointment. Everything was thrown into the box; there was absolutely no love for the business. I went there for the first time with my two children, and it will be the last time in my life I set foot in that place. When I got home, I opened my box, very disappointed, and threw it in the trash. It's a disgrace to the people who work there. If the colonel saw what KFC serves, he'd be turning in his grave: rubbery fries, chicken that looks like it's been cooked for hours, like latex—it's not even appetizing. I threw it away; I didn't even give it to my dog. We opened the burger, and it was a complete disaster. The hygiene was appalling. The entrance door was filthy, the screens were covered in smears. When you run a business, you have an image to maintain, and this place is no exception. Avoid it! Go to HFC a little further down the road; you won't be disappointed. A very bad experience; I won't be repeating it.

Dirty and smoky.
Burgers and fries were dry and cold! They were clearly prepared well in advance.
The toilets were in a deplorable state and broken.
The self-service kiosks were covered in fingerprints from all the customers that day. Many items were out of stock, and there were no Ultrabox containers.
