18/09/2026: A complicated experience… The welcome, the food, and the setting were appealing, BUT for us, it was a bad experience… Seated at a small table (it was a reservation), we ordered sea bass and seared tuna. 49 euros, why not? Halfway through our meals, our table and plates were absolutely drenched. I chose to laugh it off (because some customers would have reacted very badly) and then mentioned out loud that it was hot so as not to embarrass the staff, knowing the terrace was full. I was completely soaked, our puppy got a little surprise shower, and my partner got a bit wet, but most importantly, my white shorts were completely stained because the sauce splattered everywhere. Our dishes were immediately replaced, which is understandable, but things can happen. But once we got to the till, there was no gesture of goodwill except for a comment we found inappropriate: "At least you got one and a half dishes." A SHAME!!! I manage a restaurant with 178 covers at a time and would never allow myself to do such a thing to my customers! Firstly, before opening, we check the parasols COMPLETELY (especially after a rainy night), and if something like this happens, we apologize and offer a gesture of goodwill immediately! Paying €49 for two courses and having to buy new clothes is extremely disappointing. The manager's reaction was strange; she just wanted to collect the profit margin without any consideration for the customer in this type of situation? 09/09/2026: I often walked past, thinking I should try it one day, but the crowds always held me back. Now I understand why. Starting with gyozas, which unfortunately weren't to my taste (too much garlic), their ramen was incredibly comforting, as was their warm welcome. The broth is flavorful without being overpowering. Everything is perfectly balanced, right down to the portion size, which I found just right. The fact that the food is prepared right in front of you creates a lively and convivial atmosphere rarely found in French restaurants. I'm so glad I discovered this place and I highly recommend it.

08/09/2026: Japan is still a long way off! I ordered a tonkatsu donburi, which I unfortunately didn't enjoy: the rice was tasteless, or more precisely, it had a flavor that barely reminded me of rice, there was far too much raw cabbage (is that in the recipe?), and overall it was quite different from what I expected from this Japanese dish. Well, I can see that I'm clearly going against the grain of the many enthusiastic reviews of this restaurant, and I'm willing to chalk my disappointment up to slightly too high culinary standards. After all, it's not easy to replicate Japanese excellence; I wasn't expecting the chef to have trained in Tokyo under a cherry blossom tree. But the most disturbing thing was the service, which, frankly, was anything but Japanese. "We're in France," you might say, and I readily agree, but that doesn't preclude friendliness or a minimum of attention to the customer. However, I was the first customer, and some people need a warm-up. The order was therefore taken abruptly, almost hastily. Even more disconcerting were the interminable verbal exchanges between the cooks, perfectly audible a meter away from the other diners, in a register one would rather not have to accompany a meal. Adapting to "French-style" service seems to have taken hold more readily than the Japanese art of hospitality and, in my case, of cooking. Yes, I know: we're not in Japan. But when I walk through the door of a "Japanese" restaurant, at least allow me a few illusions.

10/09/2026: A beautiful dining room with a lovely terrace. Excellent cuisine and impeccable service. A very warm welcome and a very friendly chef who doesn't hesitate to chat with his customers when he has the time.

08/08/2026: There were four of us for lunch, and we had a reservation. When we arrived, the welcome was very cold; the staff didn't smile, which was uninviting. As for the food, it's typical brasserie fare, so don't expect anything fancy. That day, the foie gras was mediocre, and the Chinese noodles were honestly awful. We were all disappointed with what was on our plates. So we didn't order dessert and left. It's a very noisy place, very much like a cafeteria. The staff should learn to smile.

29/07/2026: We had a very pleasant lunch yesterday at this restaurant, seated in the shade of the trees in a peaceful and particularly lovely setting. The food was excellent: flavorful dishes, carefully prepared with quality ingredients, all at a very reasonable price. The owner's welcome was warm, and the atmosphere encouraged us to fully enjoy the moment. A truly wonderful place that I highly recommend. I will definitely be back!

28/07/2026: Restaurant to avoid. The waitress is completely unsuited for this job. She brought a menu for two, and when we asked for an explanation, she couldn't even describe the three appetizers. She mentioned a suggestion without saying it was à la carte and included the price. Without explaining that it wasn't part of the set menu, we ended up with a dish. I watched her pour the wine. She showed no skill whatsoever; she just let the wine run down the side of the bottle. The ingredients are certainly local, but the dish we received was very poorly prepared. I could cook just as well at home. And to top it all off, there was a piece of plastic in the dish. My husband pointed it out, but there wasn't a word of apology. They don't have a menu because they update it during peak tourist season. The dessert, crème brûlée, was only 1 cm thick; the only positive point was the small meringue and the whipped cream. In short, there was no consideration or understanding whatsoever; customer service is nonexistent. Everything needs to be reviewed.

24/08/2026: Stag and Loar, a Guinness nest, and lunch at the Irish-style pub. I had the Fish and Chips, tempura-style for fresh fish, De Luxe. They also have Burgers and other dishes, always De Luxe. Irish beers and wine, in a relaxing, laid-back atmosphere with jazz or slow blues playing. In Talence, almost opposite the Leclerc supermarket. We'll be back.

06/09/2026: This tiny café is a great find! They serve a Taiwanese specialty called "Wheel Cake," which is similar to a filled waffle pastry. I ordered the Bubble Tea flavor and was pleasantly surprised! As for the fruit tea, you can tell it's homemade. The green grass jelly is a nice change from aloe vera jelly. I highly recommend it! The only downside is that there's very little seating (only 3 tables).

02/09/2026: The bubble tea and wheelcakes were delicious and true to the taste of those found in Taiwan.

04/08/2026: UPDATE: There are many ways to prepare squid. That's why I asked these questions. I simply wanted to know how many squid rings were in a portion, as I couldn't find this information. I clearly explained that I was trying to choose a dish suitable for a child, so she would eat her fill and the portion would be sufficient. First, we weren't offered a children's menu. Then, you started mocking my question, saying, "Ha ha ha, we've never been asked a question like that about the number of squid." I found this reaction inappropriate and disgusting. Unfortunately, there was no children's menu. When we asked what the dishes consisted of and how the squid was prepared so we could choose a suitable dish for our child, the waiter replied that he didn't know and that no one had ever asked him that kind of question before…
