25/04/2026: Hello, we made a wonderful discovery! A place to start with a drink, and after a warm welcome, we were charmed by the simple menu... We ordered two dishes to share. The service, the quantity, and the presentation of the dishes were impeccable, and the food was delicious. A lovely, clean place where the customer is truly valued. Quite rare these days! Professionals worthy of the name, living up to their slogan: here everything is homemade, with love and passion. Sir/Madam, please don't change a thing... it's perfect! 11/04/2026: Our first visit to this restaurant and we were delighted! The welcome was warm and very pleasant from the moment we arrived. The meal was also excellent, with flavorful and beautifully presented dishes. A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend. We will gladly return!

08/04/2026: The best thing about Le Carreau is the portion size. First time in Bordeaux where we could not finish the mains and decided to skip dessert. And the overall taste of everything we had was good, very nice surprise on the warm bread they served us. Unfortunately, I think our expectations were higher. The table we were sat on was right next to the toilet with almost complete lack of personal space vs the next table. Wine selection (by the glass) was quite poor, and the food while overall tasty was very ordinary. The croquettes for starters were very floury, the confit duck leg was drier than expected, and the artichoke carpaccio was just an artichoke from a jar, flavoured with cumin which felt too overpowering. We also had oysters and beef tartare which were quite good actually. Disappointing to not have clean pair of cutlery between meals. Out waiter was very friendly and helpful though waited 20 min for the bill.

28/04/2026: Located near Bourran Park, this working-class, family-run restaurant owes its reputation to word of mouth, its excellent cuisine, and its reasonable prices, including wine. The menu is very good. There's an all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet with very fresh crudités and charcuterie, as well as desserts. Today's dish of the day (pork tenderloin) was excellent. There are three dining rooms and a small outdoor terrace. The service is quick and friendly.

The room was very comfortable, with the added bonus of a lovely view of the 32-year-old pony—a truly original and endearing touch! A very pleasant experience; I highly recommend it.
