02/02/2026: Restaurant in Schiltigheim. Lovely outdoor terrace. Very friendly waitress. Varied menu, but predominantly Alsatian. Excellent tarte flambée. Dame Blanche (Alsatian dessert) too. Reasonable prices. Pleasant place. Second visit in January 2026. The service is still just as friendly, as is the setting. We opted for the pizzas (2 pizzas for €20). They were classic, no-frills, and good. It cost us €20 including an aperitif, pizza, a glass of wine, and a cappuccino. What more could you ask for? A good address in Schiltigheim, one of the few in this neighborhood that still serves traditional cuisine.

Frankly, I rarely give 5 stars everywhere, because there are often things to criticize in some establishments, but this one is truly worth recommending. I am very satisfied and highly recommend this restaurant. Furthermore, the value for money is very good, and the food is prepared with care; it's evident at first glance. 08/05/2026: We were visiting Strasbourg from Canada. La Corde a Linge was recommended to us by a friend and it didn’t disappoint! We had a lovely table outside, good food, friendly service, in a great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

07/05/2026: A lovely restaurant in the heart of Petite France, and what a view! Great outdoor setting although if you don't like people smoking while you eat you will need to be strategic as to where you sit. The service was exceptional even though restaurant was super busy. Food was delicious. I expected based on location that food would be typical tourist offers (of which they had a small selection of burgers for those who must) but they had lots of traditional dishes on offer and they readily customised to suit my preferences. Very relaxed... staff will let you linger and enjoy your food and beverage at leisurely pace. Highly recommend!

15/04/2026: A regular haunt for many years. Excellent cuisine, top-notch service, a great sommelier, superb breakfast. Extremely well-maintained spa area with pool, sauna, steam room, and whirlpool. Reasonable prices.

12/04/2026: I can't comment on the rooms, as I come here regularly for the exceptional, sensational cuisine. The food is fantastic, so refined and perfectly cooked. Everything is presented flawlessly on the plate. It's a symphony of the senses. The wines, naturally from the local area, are also exquisite. Top quality and very finely crafted. The service completes the harmonious experience, making you feel like you're visiting friends. Please keep it up and may you continue to do so for many years to come.

14/05/2026: Dog-friendly restaurant ++! Lunch for a birthday celebration for a table of about ten people. The food was excellent, the staff charming and attentive, and the decor perfectly captured the region's folklore surrounding witches, combined with traditional elements. The only minor drawback was the wait time, which was explained as we were a large group.

28/05/2026: My wife and I opted for the 'Piece de Boucher'. We had the chance to try both sauces served alongside it, and both added a wonderful touch to the flavor of the meat. The quality of the meat was excellent, and it was a very filling dish, served with fries and salad. We definitely recommend it!

29/05/2026: Avoid this restaurant! The toilets are like abandoned public restrooms; you'll find urine everywhere EXCEPT in the toilets, accompanied by a nauseating stench. As for the food, it's tasteless. Don't come hungry if you order the quiche (salmon, asparagus); our portion was only an eighth of what was charged far too much. The only positive point was the service.

09/06/2026: I organized a group trip for 14 people, during which we stayed for three days at the Hôtel Restaurant Le Freudeneck. The service was excellent, the food exceptionally good, and the rooms, while not modern, were adequate and tidy. The dining room is cozy. We enjoyed the large terrace when the sun was shining. The location is perfect for tours in the Vosges Mountains. We enjoyed it so much that we plan to return next year.
