However, the welcome and service did not live up to the establishment's standards or the price.
Ultimately, three follow-up requests in two days after leaving the restaurant for a review prompted me to post this comment.
14/03/2026: I was there for Dinner alone and it was excellent.
Preparation , combination of ingredients and preparation of the food was really good.
Service was very professional ,competent and knowledgeable but still friendly.
And the atmosphere is also great , comfortable, welcoming .
Very nice.
I can't wait to go back.

20/04/2026: A wonderful atmosphere, fantastic attentive, friendly, and professional service, a very good (i.e., not 200 dishes!) and interesting menu, and of course, correspondingly good food. Prices are on the higher side, but appropriate for the quality. We also stayed overnight in this beautiful house, and that was simply wonderful too! Stay, eat, enjoy – just do it!

From the very first moment, you feel welcome at Winstub Zuem Buerestuebel. The food is outstanding – authentic Alsatian cuisine, perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The service is warm, attentive, and truly hospitable. You can tell that the cooking and work here are done with passion.
A place you'll want to return to immediately. Highly recommended!

30/03/2026: The place is definitely a go to place while in Strasbourg. The onion soup was really good. The Tiger steak was incredible! The desserts were ok too.
The staff and service was really outstanding. They were helpful, friendly and made time to talk even though they weee so busy.
The place was full so would recommend booking if you can.

We mentioned this, but unfortunately, it wasn't taken into account. A little more warmth and attention to detail in the welcome would have made the experience much more enjoyable.

19/04/2026: A beautifully situated, family-run hotel by a pond. Very friendly, personal service. Sensational, creative gourmet menus for dinner. Delicious and artfully presented. Beautiful hikes right on the doorstep. The historic rock houses of Graufthal, only 500 meters away, are also worth seeing. This was our fifth stay. Until next time!

10/04/2026: We decided at the last minute, booking almost instantly online 45 minutes before opening. The welcome was warm, and the menu offered a wide selection of dishes. My fisherman's pizza was excellent, and my companions were delighted with their choice. The service was quick and the prices reasonable. We had a lovely time.
