28/04/2026: This restaurant has once again exceeded our expectations. The chef surprised me by serving scallops with their coral. It's a daring combination, but cooked to perfection, resulting in an incredible flavor. A true delight for the palate. Thank you, Chef. The rhubarb tart is so delicious, you'll want seconds.

Brought 3 bottles home to Canada. I even went around the corner mid-drink, got my haircut and returned to finish. Nice location.

16/05/2026: Deliciously generous food. The pizzas we ordered were generously topped with good quality ingredients. The dough was very thin and easy to eat. We also ordered the tikka chicken masala which was very tasty. The only feedback was about the desert. The menu was not very appealing. We ordered the rhubarb tart which was not good at all. Overall, a highly recommended family restaurant at an affordable price.

24/04/2026: We only went to the Auberge restaurant for dinner. Here in Scherwiller, about 20 minutes from Colmar, they offer upscale, sometimes outstanding, country-style cuisine, which means even more in Alsace than in Germany. We treated ourselves to a set menu with accompanying wines, while our daughter had some difficulty finding something suitable on the à la carte menu. Visually, everything was Michelin-star quality (see photos). The amuse-bouche (homemade bread, a creamy soup with garnish) was a fantastic start. The appetizers were homemade foie gras and cured salmon accompanied by a complementary cream that resembled a sorbet. The main course was filet mignon, one with an excellent escalope de foie gras, the other with spaetzle. The only criticism was that the meat might not have been cut against the grain. This didn't detract from the taste, but the texture was noticeably too firm. My daughter chose fish, possibly cod in an excellent saffron mushroom sauce; I can't quite recall the exact type. Hopefully, we'll reap the rewards of this culinary education someday. For dessert, we had a meringue on a berry sauce, and the second one, a sorbet hidden beneath a praline topping, served in a perfectly matched cream. The wine pairing was superb. I'll definitely be buying one or two of them for myself. All in all, thanks in large part to the incredibly friendly service and inviting atmosphere, it was a delightful excursion into the rural Alsatian gourmet scene.

27/05/2026: The local food was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was good. It was a bit pricey, but considering it's a tourist area, that's acceptable.

23/05/2026: We were refused service despite there being available tables in the restaurant. We requested only a dessert (chocolate fondant) and a glass of wine, but were told that this was not sufficient for being seated. Although it was already evening, people had already had dinner, and there were still free seats available. As a result, we lost time and had to look for another place. 26/05/2026: A hotel that has seen better days. However, great emphasis is placed on friendliness and cleanliness. We enjoyed our stay and received a very warm welcome and were treated to a delicious lunch. For dinner, we were able to order just an appetizer without any problem. Breakfast was offered as a small buffet and was sufficient to start the day. We felt very comfortable.

28/04/2026: We enjoyed spending the night at this place. Breakfast was delicious, with three kinds of fresh bread and good cheese. We treated ourselves to a massage and can highly recommend it.

19/05/2026: I absolutely didn't regret stopping here; the owners were lovely, and the faux filet was the best thing I've had in a long time. I highly recommend Le Rhinkaechele.

16/05/2026: Amazing quality and quantity of food. Service was quick despite a full restaurant. We hadn't reserved but they found us a table. Great Alsace food but we need to reserve next time.

27/05/2026: We came for dinner; the staff were pleasant, the carpaccio was good, but it was a shame the flambéed meats weren't cooked enough and were very floury.

25/05/2026: A wonderful French restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. We showed up spontaneously on a Saturday evening without a reservation and were given a table despite the restaurant being quite busy. We (Austrians) speak hardly any French, yet the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. All the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious. A big thank you to the staff in both the front of house and the kitchen.
