04/08/2026: The meal was nice but not exceptional. However, charging for a doggy bag is petty, especially since it wasn't indicated on the menu that it was extra... According to the law: In France, a restaurant has the right to charge for a doggy bag (the container for taking home leftovers), but only if it provides prior notice, transparent pricing, and complies with legal requirements.

11/10/2026: If you want to eat good meat, this is the place. For the rest, I hope you don't have high expectations. Because the meat is served with instant mashed potatoes! Accompanied by a Béarnaise sauce... Amora brand! The fries are tasteless... Luckily the meat is good. After all, given the price, we expected at least some sensible side dishes! Please at least season the dish... And on top of that, no music, very nice for listening to the conversation of our table neighbors. Update reply: When you use the term "long time," what do you mean? Because there are about ten other reviews similar to mine, all within a month of each other... Following my February update, you changed your answer in June/July, in my opinion... this proves your lack of honesty even more.

28/07/2026: I ordered delivery through Uber Eats, so I can only rate the food. The tuna looked strange and smelled bad. Clearly overcooked. The salmon wasn't bad, but it wasn't fresh either. The maki rolls were clearly made by someone very amateurish and careless. Irregular, rough cuts and poorly sealed with seaweed. The rice was also too sticky. Even the ginger leaves had a strange, slimy color. The tempura was soggy, indicating it had been fried a long time ago. We expect to get sick. I don't recommend it. Anyone who handles raw food should be responsible to their customers.

17/10/2026: I came to the restaurant with friends, but I couldn't eat couscous or tagine due to health reasons. The menu offered no other options (no salads or alternative dishes), and the only solution the restaurant suggested was to order a children's menu (also based on couscous). The staff were very haughty and aggressive when I expressed my disagreement. Nothing was done to find a compromise; quite the opposite, in fact. This establishment should be avoided for its lack of professionalism and its inability to properly treat its customers.

10/10/2026: So, regarding the restaurant, their food is actually quite good, but the owners are very unpleasant and not at all receptive to minor criticisms. I really didn't appreciate their welcome, and that makes all the difference. I will never go back, that's for sure, and I definitely don't recommend it. The price is still high for the amount of food.

22/09/2026: Purchase of a large order of fries, a nagi bao burger, and 6 chicken chunks this Tuesday at 6:30 PM at McDonald's Erstein, total €16.20. Few customers, but enough staff to do the job properly. The photo shows the fries as they came out of the bag when I got home. How can they put this in a bag and serve it to a customer?

10/08/2026: A wonderful discovery, unpretentious and straightforward. The tarte flambée is excellent, and the main dishes are delicious with lovely side dishes.

04/08/2026: Our first time at this old-fashioned restaurant. The tarte flambée with fromage blanc was very good, with a crispy base and a generous topping, making it very appetizing. We also had a noisette of lamb which was excellent. We will be back.

30/08/2026: A wide selection of dishes. It's everything you'd expect from an all-you-can-eat Asian buffet. The servers are always very friendly. However, the price is a bit high for what you get, not including drinks.

16/10/2026: The waitress was extremely unpleasant and rude, only reluctantly serving us because only two out of four people wanted to eat. We decided to leave, as such appalling service was not worth our money.

16/10/2026: We arrived at lunchtime: half the group wanted a full meal, the other half just wanted coffee and dessert. No one informed us beforehand that everyone in the group needed to order a meal. Since not all of us were having lunch, we were asked to leave. We understand that a restaurant can have its rules during lunchtime service, but these rules must be clearly communicated to customers, whether at the entrance, on the menu, or by the staff at the reception. Turning away a group ready to eat, without any prior explanation, seemed unnecessarily rigid. A customer who orders coffee and a pastry is still a customer, and a simple solution (a separate table, for example) could have been offered. The service left us with a rather unpleasant impression. We will not be returning.

15/09/2026: A real gem at Restaurant de la Gare in Avolsheim! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smile and genuine warmth. You immediately feel right at home. The food is a delight: flavorful cuisine, generous portions, and everything is homemade. You can taste it in every bite! A wonderful place, simple and welcoming, just the way we like them in Alsace.
