22/02/2026: Reservation made by phone, agreed upon for a table after the football match. We arrived on Saturday, February 21st, after the football match as agreed, and were greeted by an unpleasant employee who informed us that there was no reservation under our name.

26/02/2026: Tonight, at the live music with a fabulous singing duo, we had a fantastic dance atmosphere! It's a shame that a woman who didn't introduce herself (I assume the manager) came and asked us to leave if we didn't "buy a drink," claiming she was "paying the musicians," even though we had all ordered drinks and two of us hadn't even finished them...

26/02/2026: Incredible singers and very friendly waiters. It's a shame the same can't be said for the supposed owner (who didn't introduce herself) who asked us to leave before we'd even finished our drinks because, and I quote, "we pay the musicians, you have to order." I should mention that there were five of us and we all ordered drinks. Really unpleasant, it ruined our experience.

20/12/2025: The food is decent but nothing special. There's limited choice on the €27 lunch menu. The waitress is very friendly. A major problem with this restaurant: it's freezing cold with no heating; I had to keep my clothes on during the meal, which meant the food got cold very quickly. The chalkboard menus aren't ideal, especially for visually impaired people.

12/03/2026: We had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful, secluded property nestled in the hills. It was very peaceful and relaxing, the room was lovely, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend it.

23/02/2026: A beautiful spot on this estate, we were very comfortable! A very warm welcome, lovely room with a comfortable bed. The only downside was the price of breakfast; not enough for the price.

15/12/2024: Restaurant that you absolutely must discover. The dishes are excellent and the service impeccable. All products are fresh with a beautiful presentation. I would add that the pancakes served in the afternoon for young and old are delicious without forgetting the mulled wine to comfort the hikers after the tour of the lake.

04/12/2024: Perfection: pleasant but simple setting, relaxed but respectful welcome, refined but complete menu, simple but excellent products, careful cuisine but without unnecessary frills. Thank you for allowing us to escape burgers, pizzas and other fried steaks by offering us an Auvergne that is both modern and traditional.

20/03/2026: “BEWARE of Overcharging and Receipt Manipulation!” I am writing this to warn all travelers: ALWAYS check your itemized receipt and Table Number before paying here. I visited on Sept 13, 2023. After our initial order, we added a bottle of water and one more dish. However, the server never provided a final itemized confirmation. At the time of payment, they only brought a credit card terminal receipt with a total amount that seemed wrong. We were at Table 801, and our bill should have been €89. Instead, they charged us €99 using a receipt for Table 707. I initially thought the difference was due to VAT, but later discovered the staff had handed us someone else's much higher bill. Furthermore, they incorrectly charged us for 2 lattes when we only had one (we only received a €2 cash refund for this specific error after complaining). The most suspicious part was the payment process. The staff claimed my TravelLog card was declined 5-6 times, saying 'only your card is acting strange.' I had €481.33 in my balance at the time, and I now suspect they intentionally manipulated the terminal (possibly forced KRW conversion) to force a cash payment. I ended up paying €97 in cash. I sent a formal complaint email to their headquarters (Beaumarly Group), but they have been ignoring me. This entire experience felt like intentional deception and potential discrimination. Be extremely careful with your receipts at this place.

15/03/2026: Second brunch at Frères Marchand. We came in April 2025 and had a 5-star experience. This time, we were disappointed with the brunch on March 15, 2026, for several reasons: - The portions were generally much smaller compared to last year. - The savory options were no longer as varied or frequently offered. - €8.50 for a one-liter bottle of sparkling water... That's quite expensive. - Only three sweet options (a quarter of a very dry waffle, a caramel pancake, and a slice of blueberry tart that was only 1.5 cm wide). - The price had increased to €36.90 (compared to €31 in 2025). Fortunately, the cheeses and charcuterie were still of very high quality, and coffee/tea and orange juice were still unlimited. It was still a lovely experience, but the price and the reduced selection make us hesitate to return.

01/03/2026: A truly high-quality gastronomic experience! From the moment you arrive, you're enveloped in a cozy, hushed, warm, and intimate atmosphere. Seated in front of a kitchen intentionally open to the dining room, you can watch with pleasure as the chef gives instructions, organizes his work in a captivating display, and prepares the dishes. The plates are aesthetically pleasing, and the blend of sweet, savory, acidic, and neutral flavors is a delight for the palate! All this is complemented by impeccable service and a thoughtful chef who constantly circulates among the tables to ensure everything is perfect. A truly wonderful restaurant that I wholeheartedly recommend!

15/02/2026: A friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with a good daily menu and à la carte options. There has always been a vegetarian option. I will return.

18/12/2025: Excellent! Set menu €17, 12 minutes from the motorway exit in a charming little village. We're so glad we took the time to avoid a terrible, overpriced sandwich at a motorway service station.

09/12/2025: Very nice people, nice environment. This place really deserve a great rating. Stop by on the way to Paris and found this gem along the highway. Will surely be back if I am on the same route.

16/01/2026: The food was truly awful. The knives served were full of sand (so they hadn't been washed), basically garbage. The lobster was lukewarm, as was its side dish, and the wait was incredibly long even though the restaurant was only three-quarters empty.

07/01/2026: Great restaurant. A warm welcome and excellent service. The waitresses and waitresses were lovely and patient despite our large group. The food was very good, and the ingredients were very fresh. I highly recommend it.
