28/06/2026: Everything was very fresh, the setting was nice, but the service was lacking. We arrived at noon, two other people arrived 20 minutes later, and an hour later, still nothing. They forgot the butter, lemon, and finger bowls, and there were only two small pats of butter for five people. I was also annoyed that the woman insisted on our choice of pâtés. As for the quantity, we ordered three portions of whelks, which were served in two small bowls—really stingy. The first time was much better; the service was different. It's a shame because that makes a big difference. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby, and we'll go somewhere else next time.

14/06/2026: We were looking for a place to eat good quality sushi in Bordeaux that wasn't too expensive. We were pleasantly surprised after following the Google reviews and coming here: a great atmosphere, and delicious sushi. We ate very generously, and it cost us €26 per person for a large platter of sushi, an appetizer, and a bowl of rice. I highly recommend it!

06/06/2026: Passing through southern Bordeaux, and craving sushi, we stopped at this restaurant based on the positive reviews. We weren't disappointed. The welcome was very warm, the sushi was excellent, the salmon tender—we think it was the best we've ever tasted. It was generous and delicious! We'll definitely be back as soon as we get the chance.

07/04/2026: Excellent all-you-can-eat buffet at lunchtime with plenty of choice and a reasonable price. However, don't go in the evening; there's almost nothing left, just the leftovers from lunchtime, and at the same price. It's a shame.

22/05/2026: An excellent Japanese restaurant in the heart of Rue St. Rémy! I had lunch there with colleagues during the week and had a very pleasant experience, both in terms of the service and the food. The three-course menu with starter and dessert was very tempting. The miso soup is one of the best I've ever tasted; the broth is intensely flavorful. The salmon carpaccio consists of sashimi with a homemade sauce that's absolutely delicious. The gyoza and vegetable tempura are equally delightful. All this accompanied by explanations from the chef, who clearly knows his stuff. Thank you for the warm welcome, and see you soon!

20/02/2026: I share at least two things with this chef: our first name (rare!) and a taste for "well done." And that's an understatement. Everything was very well done. A remarkable experience, following the thread of our local produce, guided with inventiveness and mastery by the entire team, with service provided by talented chefs and excellent wine recommendations. Special mention to the saucier. A few daring surprises, perfectly executed, pushing the boundaries of structure and sublime flavors in a pleasant atmosphere.

29/04/2026: This restaurant, located just steps from the famous Rue Sainte-Catherine in Bordeaux, offers a fairly classic menu. The food is quite well prepared and the service is particularly friendly. The quality-to-price ratio is good. A nice place for simple but tasty food, a little removed from the crowds of Rue Sainte-Catherine.

05/06/2026: I recommend the large loaf of bread by the slice near the till, which keeps very well, and the brioche by the slice as well; the rest is excellent too 👍

27/05/2026: It's got good croiscent and and pan au chocolat. It's a bakery. Go to the counter say bonjour and order. Nothing fancy, nothing special, just good old fashion french boulangerie.

07/07/2026: A wonderfully understated restaurant with a Scottish flavour in the heart of Bordeaux. The food is first class (both vegetarian and meat-based dishes) as is the service which is unobtrusive but always attentive. Pound for pound or, more accurately, euro for euro, Racines punches above its weight. Thank you for a great experience.
