11/12/2025: Disappointed! The pizzas were tasteless, too big, overflowing, and the plates weren't the right size! The restaurant was filthy, with cobwebs, dirty windows, and the cook kept the kitchen as dirty as he did! And don't even get me started on the toilets—they were horrific. Absolutely avoid this place!

23/11/2025: The pizzas were very good; great flavor, good size, pleasant place; nice nautical decor, cozy, easy parking, fast service. The waitress who served us was very, very friendly. However, the bartender, a thin, bald man, was one of the most unfriendly people you could ever meet; he gave us challenging looks and served us reluctantly. I suspect it was because we arrived at 8:45 pm, and, get this, Google Maps says the restaurant is open Saturdays from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm... and the sign on the door says pizzas are available for takeaway from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, even though we ate from the set menu there... and it's not the first time, as we've been to this establishment several times. It's a shame because it spoiled the evening. I repeat, the pizzas are delicious.

06/10/2025: A very popular local bistro, offering delicious food, fabulous service, and a healthy beverage menu is a not-to-be-missed visit. Fried squid and Shrimp starter dishes, nestled in freshly shredded veggie salads, followed by Baltimore seared pork, and whole pan-fried troute were plentiful and scrumptious. We chose a Pic Saint-Loup red wine to accompany our meals. After such a delicious feast, we opted in for dessert - something we rarely choose to do. This was such a lovely occasion though. Chocolate Eclair and Poached Pear dishes rounded the meal so beautifully. Don’t drive by this gem - do stop in! A fabulous and fun meal await in Monein.

28/01/2026: At the Auberge, you'll only go for the food! When you go to a restaurant, it's great to have quality, but generally, you also go to relax, not to have to endure the cyclothymic moods of the father and daughter, or even the mother in the morning… Between the grumpy father and the unhinged daughter, capable of both the best and the worst in the same hour, it's hard to relax and enjoy the moment!

19/01/2026: Exceptional! We spent two nights there last weekend. The welcome was perfect, attentive, and friendly. The rooms in this recently renovated hotel were superb, with comfortable beds. The bar and restaurant on the ground floor were very well-maintained. There were two set menus; the first, at €18, was delicious (I recommend the garbure). We will definitely be back.

21/09/2024: Très déçus et TROP ONEREUX !! :-( - portions trop petites : le porc Quintoa à 25€ par personne (pas assez moelleux et fondant) comportant seulement 3 morceaux et quasiment pas d'accompagnement !! - la pavlova pour 2 avec seulement quelques tranches de pèche l'intérieur pour 25€ !! (très insuffisant pour 2) - la bière à 6€ en bouteille 25cl !!! le verre de vin 10cl d'Irouléguy à 6€ et le cidre à 7€ les 25cl !! - assiette de charcuterie locale quelconque à 22€ ! + musique TROP FORTE , Désagréable, rendant difficile la discussion à table !! (on est censé être dans un restaurant gastronomique et pas un bar !!) Je suis sorti en ayant encore faim alors que je ne suis pas un gros mangeur et mal au crâne !! Dommage car le cadre est agréable !

06/11/2025: Very good. Amazing dessert, especially the Grand Marnier soufflé. Simple but very good cuisine. Beautiful presentation, quick, efficient, and professional service. It's a shame the inn is closing due to retirement 😭 Go before it closes for good

20/08/2025: We were looking for a place to eat in Baiona in August, away from the most touristy area and with quality French food. They have several menu options at different price points. We chose two starters, a main course, and dessert. The portions were quite generous and very reasonably priced. We ordered the egg with a touch of truffle, the foie gras taco with red berries, and the quasi du veau with potatoes for our main course. Everything was delicious. To finish, we had the house specialty soufflé. With a bottle of wine for around €28, we got a very good price per person considering the amount. The place has several rooms and the atmosphere is quiet. We made a reservation even though it wasn't very busy. The service was friendly and good.

10/12/2025: Everyone was very friendly, overall a very good experience but a big negative point is the jacuzzi which is really not at the right temperature, same for the pool, so we did not take advantage of the wellness area which was the reason why we preferred this hotel.

07/01/2026: Fantastic author's cuisine presented in an approachable dish. Each of the 3 courses in the lunch menu were unique and well presented and most of all an absolute pleasure for your palate.

31/01/2026: A warm welcome and good quality food, as always, even if there was a bit of a wait. However, we were very disappointed when it came time to pay: we had called in the morning to confirm that restaurant vouchers were accepted (this was important because our son wanted to treat us with his first vouchers), but in the end, it was impossible to use them on the bill. This was a very embarrassing moment for him, and we had to pay by credit card. It's a shame; we really felt like we were lured in by being told yes on the phone, only to be presented with a fait accompli at the checkout.

27/01/2026: The buffet was varied and generally of good quality. However, the dessert selection was very limited: only two small panna cotta-style verrines, lacking any real flavor, and some rather mediocre Moroccan pastries (only one was truly worth trying). A major drawback was the service: the atmosphere was tense and unpleasant. We were practically reprimanded for getting up at the same time, even though the restaurant wasn't full… and it was supposed to be a buffet. The same thing happened when we were curtly asked to put our plates at the end of the table. When we asked for water, the waitress looked up without smiling. Frankly, the welcome and service have changed drastically, and not for the better.

06/07/2025: We came to Biarritz for a weekend and ordered pizzas and pasta twice. The service was fast and efficient, whether for takeout or delivery. We recommend this place and know where to go if we're ever in Biarritz!

01/09/2024: Meal on Thursday 29/08 noon, Everything was perfect!! A magnificent setting, very original, highly sought-after cuisine, worthy of a true artist! Hearty and very refined dishes at the same time, just delicious. Very pleasant servers, smiling, courteous and attentive, as for the chef, incredibly kind but above all very humble despite his success and exceptional talent, a very personalized service for each customer... Thank you for this wonderful culinary experience.
