22/08/2026: Last week I bought a citrus Basque cake, what a disappointment! The cream was practically nonexistent and the citrus marmalade was far too sweet. I thought I'd made the wrong choice. This morning I went back to the store to buy one with cream, as I remembered a very flavorful Basque cake, and there it was again, another disappointment: the cream was also practically nonexistent and very dense. It doesn't have the texture of the Basque cake from Pariès of yesteryear.
What a shame!

01/09/2026: We had a wonderful lunch at Le Belzunce today. Very friendly and attentive service.
We ordered one Moules Frites and one Salade Chipirónes, and shared Île Flottante for dessert.
Delicious food, fair prices. Highly recommended!
22/08/2026: A warm and intimate restaurant with a secluded dining room and a patio whose existence you wouldn't suspect when passing by.

30/07/2026: You wouldn't think you'd come here. And yet. A truly passionate and modest chef who loves to share his story. Like the square pizzas, perfect for enjoying and sharing. The lasagna is excellent, right down to dessert. Thank you for this wonderful and enjoyable experience. The people of Nîmes.

08/09/2026: We had lunch of Basque-style mussels and Basque-style fried chicken with local beer. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and helpful.
06/09/2026: We had a wonderful experience this evening. Aside from the excellent value for money, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Thank you to the chef for his lovingly prepared cuisine. And thank you for the recommendations; we would have loved to miss out on that superb Basque tart. We'll be back, that's a promise!

We had a superb time.

Here, you're immersed in nature, and it feels wonderful.
The four-course menu is delicious, with impeccable service and bold flavors that make for incredible dishes.
For a 100% vegetarian experience, it's a delightful surprise.

03/09/2026: A very nice establishment. The service was efficient and the advice helpful. And finally, the quality of the food. For me, it was perfect. Very generous portions and excellent quality. I recommend the mixed fish platter and the pork tomahawk steak.

25/08/2026: A family Sunday lunch... L'auberge's main advantage is that it is open for Sunday lunch. There was some culinary effort (especially with the starters), but the result didn't quite live up to expectations. The waitress, apparently at odds with management, saw fit to air her grievances to the customers. All in all, a bit disappointing.

A truly lovely setting by the water in Bayonne. Everything was perfect, from the delicious tapas to the fruity and delightful local Kupela cider. An excellent place to unwind and enjoy a great meal; I highly recommend it!
