21/10/2025: Never seen anything like it. Nonexistent service, sloppy cooking, no consideration for the customer. Scalding hot, overcooked, limp prawns, thrown unpeeled on two wilted salad leaves—it was supposed to be prawn salad. Seriously? The kids' menu? An insult. Nothing good, everything is greasy and full of oil, not even the bare minimum. We ended up laughing about it, but in hindsight: a sandwich bought in a bakery, facing the sea, would have been a feast compared to this. Move on. There are much better options—everywhere else.

19/10/2025: Very disappointed... a sharing platter... or not! Only enough for one person for €19! The monkfish tail with chorizo, cooked on the griddle, was burnt and tiny for €20. The children's menu of chicken and fries... as well-cooked as the fish, which came with an ice cream stick. €13... a bit steep! The table was wobbly and the chairs uncomfortable... despite having a reservation, we ended up with chairs and tables pushed aside (which is a shame). Luckily, the rosé was good! 🤣

11/07/2026: The welcome wasn't the warmest, but it was still acceptable. We ordered some specialty breads; they were good, but there was indeed a slight taste on the bottom of the loaf. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'd say it was a mixture of yeast and old flour. A good cleaning or replacing the baking mats would certainly be necessary. It's a shame because otherwise, the breads are good.

11/07/2026: So… I might be lucky, judging by some of the reviews, but every time I go, I'm never disappointed! That said, I don't get sandwiches, bread, or croissants, so I can't comment on those, but their Basque cream cake is my absolute favorite! And I've tried quite a few… and the "Russian" cake is a delight, truly like the ones my Russian neighbors used to make when I lived with them a long time ago (but you have to like cream and hazelnuts 😉). All this at a very reasonable price.

30/08/2026: A very pleasant restaurant with a lovely mountain atmosphere. It's located right at the bottom of the cable car exit, which is very convenient! The service is very friendly and the food is tasty and plentiful. We had a very enjoyable dinner.

04/08/2026: I was a loyal customer until this year, but I'll never set foot in there again. The prices are exorbitant for products that are almost never local, and not even French! They're very often out of stock. And almost every time, there are mistakes at the till where they charge much more for an item than what you actually bought. In the end, I asked for the receipt every time, and every time there was a mistake. When I see the other similar comments, it can't be a coincidence. It's shameful to treat customers like that. We really should boycott them to support local producers, who are better, much cheaper, and lovely, like at Elizaldia Farm.

15/06/2026: Two very pleasant salespeople who say hello and smile, but the gentleman at the register with long hair is rude, unpleasant, and has a disdainful look. It's probably too late to teach him manners, but a little courtesy never hurt anyone. 💋

09/10/2025: Exceptional setting just a few meters from the port and the beach. It's the only decent restaurant in the area, and we were very disappointed. No water or bread on the table. The dishes listed on the menu don't exist. "I told you, 'No paella, prawns, monkfish, or fish...'" said the waiter. The ham croquettes are mostly potato croquettes. The mussels with chorizo ​​swim in a creamy pink sauce, and most are already detached from their shells. They don't contain any chorizo. The waiters are heavily tattooed, burly men in shorts. We miss the old-fashioned service in restaurants, and when will there be an acceptable restaurant in this part of Hendaye?

16/09/2026: We stopped in Saint-Jean-de-Luz for lunch and didn't look around much. We went into this restaurant, two adults and two children. We ordered water, a small beer, and a Coke. They replaced the flat Coke with the exact same one. We saw them pour it from a large bottle. We ordered the children's set menus. One was ham with white spaghetti, and the other was mussels marinara with the same pasta. The set menu was €21.50. The chicken salad was tiny, and the main course was mashed potatoes with cod. They brought me a chicken leg as a starter, which wasn't what I had ordered. And a plate of grilled baby squid—frozen and small. Awful! I would never go back! And the bill was almost €80. They took forever to bring the food.

17/05/2026: Inadequate service. I agree with one of the comments. They prioritize Tamils. There's a difference in treatment depending on ethnicity. The receptionist was extremely rude. The Vadai were hard, so definitely not fresh...

21/08/2026: Perfect location, very low quality rooms/apartments. Old equipment, smelly corridors - actually like in a zoo, rather than a “4* hotel”! -, need a lot of investment and cleaning!! Very unsatisfactory!!! Recommend not to rely on their pictures!! The experince is way more negative!

05/06/2026: Only thing good is the location. The rest is absolutely horrendous. Dirty and run down .Broken tiles on the balcony.Dirty patio furniture .Filthy bed (which I didn't want to sleep in) Dishwasher still had dishes in . Trip hazards and no lighting in the hallways. Absolute joke for the price ! Stay well clear worst place I can honestly say I have stayed in !

05/09/2026: Don't be fooled like we were! I never comment, but this time I had to... a €15 salad, and the result was just overly vinegary green salad, topped with three tiny pieces of melon fighting each other with three cherry tomatoes and a few pieces of Serrano ham... it's a disgrace to charge that much, I feel like I haven't eaten anything... shameful to sell this!

03/09/2026: I don't recommend it. The waffle wasn't homemade, the ice cream was extra, and they were really stingy with the portion size. Their friendliness needs improvement; it's like they're bothering you. They talk about their lives and you have to wait before they even ask, "Do you need anything?" I definitely don't recommend it.

25/09/2026: The service and food were perfectly fine. The problem is more the price. Coming from Paris, I didn't feel out of place at all. The prices are very similar to what you'd find in the capital. €25 for a meal that would normally cost around €15, and that's without the bottle of wine, if you order one. It's worth noting, however, that the prices seem to be in line with other restaurants in the area, or even slightly lower, so perhaps I'm missing something (taxes? Supply difficulties? Union agreement?). Anyway, if you're on a tight budget, I wouldn't recommend it. If you have some extra money to spare, why not?

21/08/2026: Decaf with milk is ridiculously expensive at €3.20 and leaves the cup half empty. That's practically a shot! Plus, the service is unpleasant and the smell inside is awful! You're better off going to the chocolate shop next door.

07/08/2026: Very expensive for what it is. The waitress serving the hot meals was absolutely unpleasant. The food was tasteless. They often charge extra for appetizers or desserts. Check your receipt carefully. The dining area wasn't very clean.
