12/09/2026: Despite being the only one serving, the waitress was very pleasant. We ordered the Pyrenean fondue, and it was excellent. Both the charcuterie platter and the fondue itself were generous portions. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, thank you 😊

09/09/2026: Very bad coffee and a super low-quality croissant, ridiculously expensive: €10! The milk frother on the coffee machine was visibly dirty, and the place itself lacked hygiene. The service wasn't very friendly either, even though they speak Spanish... when they served an oat milk latte with the oats in bad condition, they couldn't even offer to turn it over... when we asked for a longer espresso to make things easier...

01/08/2026: This place is best avoided. The bar is located in a back alley with no view, yet it charges exorbitant prices. The wait is endless, the cocktails are poorly made (bad proportions, no balance), and the tapas are overpriced for the mediocre portions and quality. It's hard to see what could possibly justify such prices. I absolutely do not recommend it.

26/07/2026: Bar at Pau Castle with reasonable prices. A very good view. Pleasant and high-quality service.

20/09/2026: It's surprising to see so many negative reviews. We go there whenever we're in the area, and for us, it's the best place to enjoy local specialties. The piquillo peppers are the best here; our only regret is not having them as a main course. In any case, all the dishes we've tasted at this restaurant have been delicious, and the number of people there proves we're not the only ones who think so, unlike the restaurants nearby, which are, unfortunately, empty!

19/09/2026: Terrible service, wrong order, cold dishes, undercooked prawns, wine forgotten, not to mention the dilapidated state and poor hygiene of the toilets....

01/08/2026: We ordered a Frappuccino and asked if it could be made with oat milk, to which we were told: “Yes, no problem.” The employee who prepared it made it once, but seemed to find the texture too thick and added more syrup to dilute it (without asking us) and then blended it again. I took the drink back, but it was very thick and very sweet, almost like a granita. A second employee then took the glass and blended it again, adding more syrup a third time, again to dilute it. The texture was less thick, but it was undrinkable because it was so sweet. I brought the glass back a second time, telling them it was undrinkable and too sweet. The employee replied: “It’s because of the oat milk; you should have used a cream base so it wouldn’t be so thick.” So that's €6 down the drain. I imagine that to get offered a different drink or a refund, we would have had to beg and fight for it… for a measly Frappuccino. Go somewhere else and head to Columbus next door; they're much friendlier and more professional.

10/07/2026: They typed my name with a pencil I thought they don't do that anymore lol it was great but I felt like the coffe didn't taste that great (iced americano) and they also put that on a cartoon cup instead of a plastic one

14/03/2026: My son just bought two baguettes, supposedly identical, and when we went to have them for breakfast, one of them was inedible. It was hard, stale bread. It's a shame because we're regulars at this place. But now we won't be. Is it because he's a child and children can be taken advantage of?

07/03/2026: Lunch on the terrace overlooking the slopes. Quick, efficient, and friendly service. The food is good and reasonably priced. Very satisfied with this place.

24/09/2026: A lovely pizzeria just steps from Pau Castle, in a pedestrian zone. Attentive and quick service. You can eat inside or on the terrace. Good value for money. I recommend it.

20/09/2026: The timing of each course was good. I don't speak much French and I was with my family, but there were no problems. One guy approached us in English and the other spoke Spanish, so the time was very pleasant. I'll be back. Italian food in France! 😂

14/09/2026: A very nice place where you can eat very well without having to sell a kidney to pay for your meal. The daily special with starter and dessert is €14, or €12.50 if you have either the starter or dessert, and €9.50 if you only have the main course (prices as of September 2026). The daily special is simple, tasty, and generous, and the setting is pleasant, with the option of eating on the terrace in a pedestrian street in Petit Bayonne. Add to that the impeccable service from Lilou, whose smile is as radiant as hers! We had a wonderful time and we will be back! Thank you to the whole team!

08/02/2026: Honestly, I think the photo speaks for itself. What kind of disrespect is that? 15 bucks for two sandwich meals. A slice of rosette sausage cut in half and a gherkin cut in half. Is this some kind of hidden camera prank?

31/03/2026: We ate lunch there on Saturday; the staff were very pleasant and the service was excellent. Really great!

19/07/2026: I didn't have the bad experiences some people have. There were four of us, and we ordered four ice creams to go (delicious). Yes, they don't accept credit cards, but it's clearly stated, so there's no point in complaining...

13/09/2026: Positive points: Dog-friendly and very good food and pizzas. Negative points: Everything else. Total wait time: 2 hours. One of the desserts had gone bad. The staff didn't appreciate us pointing out their mistakes (unusually slow service, expired dessert, and an error on the bill—the salad went from €5 to €15!). We received a rude response when we asked for a gesture of goodwill (which was granted) and when we showed them the error on the bill (which was refunded). That said, this is not the way to treat customers with legitimate criticisms that were expressed politely.

12/09/2026: We waited two hours, received a dessert that was past its expiration date (five people tasted it to confirm), and were verbally abused by the waiter when we paid (a €15 error on the till... he spoke to us like we were nothing when we were simply asking for a refund). There was absolutely no empathy or attempt at customer service; I have never experienced such poor service in a restaurant.

27/08/2026: Absolutely disrespectful treatment. Ignoring the customers. When I asked for a table to eat, the waiter spilled juice on me while other customers were clearing their table. He stained my pants, shoes, and a designer handbag. He told me to wait. And he just kept going without attending to me, without apologizing, and without offering me any help or anything to clean me up. When I sought help from his colleague, he acted with the same indifference and didn't offer me the help I asked for or show any interest in me at any point. Naturally, we left without ordering anything.

24/08/2026: Absolutely avoid this place... And yet I've been coming here for several years... We ordered two pizzas with ground beef... Damn, they didn't deliver... It happens... Except that for the €15 price tag on my pizza, he told us he couldn't compensate for the ground beef with the other ingredients, chicken, merguez sausage... It's a matter of regulations... However, the price remained the same... No price reduction, no food compensation on the pizza... I won't be going back to this dump, a place worthy of a rural grocery store... Oh, FYI... He's so unpleasant he scared the customer away... Also... He must have a contract with OCB... the cigarette papers... Because his pasta looks like that... Honestly, I don't know any other places around here... But don't go... This is the first time I've left a negative review, but it's not... It deserves it... Good luck to those who they continue to go there.....
