28/08/2026: This is the story of a waiter who was apparently in a bad mood, who was politely asked to return a fish that was clearly undercooked to the kitchen. This prompted a furious and aggressive arrival of a cook, red-faced and aggressive, who insisted that the fish was not only cooked enough but also accused us of being aggressive towards the waiter... Brilliant! Unfortunately, the establishment lost two former customers...

26/08/2026: I walk into the establishment and say hello: none of the three staff members respond. First impression: subpar. I wait at the counter for someone to speak to me, as it's my first time and I'm unfamiliar with how the place operates. The bartender, focused on his coffees, asks me what I'd like (still no greeting): I ask if it's possible to have a large coffee on the terrace. A hesitant but affirmative response; I head to the restroom to wash my hands while I wait and let him know. Back from the restroom, the other server points to a coffee waiting on the counter. I therefore assume it's up to me to get my coffee and carry it across to the terrace. So, I don't know if this is called self-service or a counter service, I didn't check if there was a price difference, but in any case: three employees, zero smiles. Okay, it's the end of the season, okay, we're allowed to be exhausted, but a smile?! My bad if there was a bill: bar service, but strangely I didn't see it...

28/08/2026: They haven't given us dinner, I'm sorry.

26/08/2026: The food was excellent, everything was delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. A 10/10 experience, I will definitely be back!

20/09/2026: Excellent quality products and friendly, welcoming staff. A must-visit.

18/09/2026: Terrible service! We arrived with friends at 6:30 am and the cashier gave us a very poor reception. We won't be back because, according to her, we speak too loudly.

23/07/2026: The tanned, 6'6" (1.90 kg) waiter, very unpleasant, turned around and called me, and I quote, a "f2p" because I had ordered a new drink and he had already noted it on his tablet.

22/07/2026: 5:30 PM Table barely cleared... Probably never cleaned... Service with a sour face... Drink quality 😵‍💫

04/09/2026: Today I was served on a tray covered in sparrow droppings. Message to today's manager: instead of sending one of your employees to sweep the sidewalk at noon in an unpleasant tone, please make sure you serve your customers on clean trays.

30/08/2026: Forget about half of the personal details, unwelcoming. We asked for a drink and they gave us something else. Look at the assistant, no politeness whatsoever towards the clientele. I won't be coming back here.

26/08/2026: For 2 people, we paid the same price as in the Leclerc cafeteria for 3, and the toilets were disgusting.

26/08/2026: The quality is very average and the price is a bit high for what it is.

01/08/2026: This place is best avoided. The bar is located in a back alley with no view, yet it charges exorbitant prices. The wait is endless, the cocktails are poorly made (bad proportions, no balance), and the tapas are overpriced for the mediocre portions and quality. It's hard to see what could possibly justify such prices. I absolutely do not recommend it.

26/07/2026: Bar at Pau Castle with reasonable prices. A very good view. Pleasant and high-quality service.

01/09/2026: 5 stars for the quiche Lorraine, Basque cake (cherry), and the savory crepe with olives and bacon – all delicious. Beautiful, clean pastry shop in a charming little town center. Friendly owner.

31/08/2026: The Gateau Basque for two days old.. how is that even legal? I also asked for a 4 person and 6 person cake and they gave me two 4 person cake. One described as 6 people when it was obviously the same size. The date I have proof because under the cake it shows the date it was baked. They shouldn’t be selling old, stale Gateau Basque.

12/09/2026: A great place to enjoy tapas and have a drink while being on the banks of the Nive.

04/09/2026: A huge disappointment! The setting is lovely and the waterside terrace is eye-catching, but unfortunately, that's about all it has going for it. €17.50 for a tiny roasted Camembert, grainy inside and frankly unpleasant to eat, and €19.50 for a duck confit with a tough leg that was clearly underwhelming. Given the prices, you expect better than such disappointing dishes. We ended up leaving without finishing our meals. A tourist trap with pretty decor, but absolutely nothing on the plate.

20/02/2026: Booked for about two months, impossible to sleep at night, an alarm goes off all night. The alarm is from the Leroy Merlin store next door. I'm changing hotels.

03/07/2026: I placed my order at 7:45 PM and was told it would take 45 minutes. My order, delivered by Uber Eats, finally arrived at 9:40 PM, almost two hours later. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've had a bad experience with Uber Eats. During a previous order from another restaurant, the delivery driver simply left with my order. At this point, the problem seems to lie more with the delivery method than with the restaurant itself. Relying exclusively on Uber Eats to reduce staffing costs comes at the expense of service quality and the customer experience. It's truly a shame.

27/06/2026: We went for dinner because we were staying at a nearby campsite and we were very comfortable. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, the food was served quickly and everything was delicious. A bit pricey, but the portions are generous.

20/08/2026: The dishes were all frozen, the waiter was overwhelmed with only three tables, many items were missing from the menu, the kitchen was in an unacceptable state of filth with an unbearable smell, the pizzas were frozen and inedible—it's unacceptable to leave a restaurant like this open! Paying 80 euros for all frozen dishes is unacceptable!!! I do not recommend it!!!!

09/08/2026: We were very disappointed with our experience. We ordered takeaway pizzas and, unfortunately, the quality was really lacking: the dough and toppings were very disappointing, to the point that some frozen pizzas are better. As for wine, only one selection was offered, and it was frankly very bad and overpriced. The only positive point was that the staff were friendly and welcoming. But friendliness alone is unfortunately not enough: the restaurant business requires real expertise.

08/09/2026: Passing through on my motorcycle 🏍, it cost 3 euros for the Pullman's private parking. I left my helmet there while waiting for my return trip from the Rhune train, and when I got back, since I was having lunch there, they gave me free parking. All the guys at the Pullman are friendly, great atmosphere.
