15/09/2024: Taking the slow, pretty route from Bayonne into Spain we came across the delightful village of Ainhoa, listed as one of Les plus Beau Villages de France - and rightly so. In need of a coffee we sat outside at Cafe Ezkurra, which is by the church, and enjoyed tasty coffee and friendly service.

15/11/2024: Une pizzeria qui prend sa clientèle un peu au sérieux au vu des retards incessants, et je parle pas de retard de 10 minutes, je parle plus de retard de 20 à 40 minutes avec en prime une pizzeria ou un quart de la pizza et même pas recouverte, il y a des pizzerias bien et aussi bon marché à bon entendeur

08/08/2024: Well located bar in Ascain. Consumptions are very affordable compared to prices charged elsewhere. On the other hand, the boss…. When you get tired you have to stop. Nothing explains being rude to customers. We cannot take advantage of tourists' money and not welcome them with a smile and a sigh. I still recommend it!

Pastries in the sun even if they are refrigerated, perhaps I should not have noticed them during my visit🤔 In addition, no respect for the people who take the trouble to travel to apply and do a test. As no response from the manager despite my 2 reminders, I leave this notice to let people know the lack of humanity that reigns there... no wonder the salespeople do not stay. For my part, I was not a customer but I know that will never be the case.

14/09/2024: Commande et livraison à domicile : ce n'est pas mauvais, loin de là, mais au prix ou c'est, j'en ai franchement raz le bol d'avoir des produits qui manquent à la commande. C'est dommage, d'autant que nos réclamations ne sont pas prises en compte... fini You Sushi.

04/09/2024: I should refrain from giving my opinion but my conscience requires me otherwise. Friday the 30th, my wife and I decided to have a Japanese dinner at You Sushi where we had never been disappointed. It is 8 p.m., the manager (whom I had never seen before) welcomes us and comes to take the order for aperitifs which she brings to us a few minutes later and asks us if we are ready to order. I order 2 Miso soups, a seaweed salad, 2 sashimi, answer: “There are no more.” “In that case we’ll have tuna ceviche.” “There aren’t any left either, we were robbed with the big fire sale.” I tell her that she should have informed us before we sat down and I cancel the order, telling her: "we will finish our drinks and go to dinner elsewhere". At the checkout and very annoyed by this situation, I asked her if she would offer us the glass of red wine and the can of mineral water for her "failure". She responds to me grumbling: “why would I do that”? I told him it didn't matter, I would pay for the drinks and write a comment on the web. She replies irritated: “It’s okay, leave, I won’t take it from you”. A commercial gesture must be made with a smile and in good faith, which was not the case. As the sale is not a last minute event, I question her abilities as a manager and stock manager. This is why I wanted to warn the public to ask the reception what is not on the menu before sitting down at the table. The aggressive response from the manager/owner (DS I suppose) encourages me to modify my review and add the following, but I won't waste too much time. In fact, the person seems to only accept good reviews and her professional conscience as a good businesswoman makes me smile. she should know that criticism can be constructive and promote improvement. If no one tells her she has bad breath; she would probably never know. In any case; In her place I would have tried to contact her, apologize to her and invite her to come back with special mention to the staff but her response has the completely opposite effect. We, who used to go there quite often because I am fond of this food, will never go back there again but that doesn't matter; there are plenty of other pigeons.

03/09/2024: Following bad payers we must assume their responsibilities!!! for each order the servers aggressively ask you to pay immediately, this is really abusive, I pay to have a pleasant time and not for childish confrontations to be avoided without any hesitation to avoid receiving blows... 01/09/2024: Bad experience. Terrible customer service. Some friends went for dinner, as soon as we arrived they greeted us reluctantly as if they were doing us a favor. It took them forever to give us the menu so we could order, and when I got up to look for the waiter, the owner from the kitchen told me to wait seated in a very bad manner. When they served us, a dish was missing, and when the waiter went to the kitchen to ask for it, the owner came out in a rage yelling at us that she was alone, that the pizza was in the oven and she made a scene in front of the entire restaurant, totally out of place. You can see she was stressed, but that's no way to treat customers. When leaving the restaurant he did not deign to say goodbye or answer when we said thank you (the kitchen is open and faces the dining room). The food was not bad, although the portions were very small.

30/08/2024: The dishes are good but it's a shame that the nice people are in the kitchen... The gentleman at the service reserves his kindness for his friends and provides the bare minimum to strangers, bordering on friendly.
