23/02/2026: Hi, I went to Courber for Valentine's Day in the evening, and it didn't feel like Valentine's Day at all. There were no decorations, it was cold and unwelcoming, and we were cold, not even heated. I won't be going back, very disappointed.

20/12/2025: It's still just as good, and the welcome and service are still excellent. The setting is very pleasant.

08/03/2026: We used to come every Friday evening as a family and were satisfied, even though the restaurant never offered any kind of gesture (like a free coffee now and then), despite spending between €80 and €100 each week. We started going less often because the service became increasingly slow, and the dishes weren't served at the same time, so we ate at different times or our food was cold. Unfortunately, it really became unacceptable. We tried again last Thursday; there were two of us, and fewer than 10 tables were open for dinner. We were seated, and then nothing happened for over 20 minutes… We watched the waiter, who didn't move, didn't even bring water, nothing… We got up and left. Clearly, we won't be back, and we don't recommend it.

09/01/2026: A warm and friendly welcome awaits you; the servers are smiling and approachable. The food is authentic and delicious. Finally, the atmosphere is pleasant and cheerful. It's best to book in advance, especially on Wednesdays and Fridays for the steak and fries!

24/02/2026: The welcome was beyond unpleasant. We were in a group. I was ashamed to see the owner so rude to a family who had just attended a funeral. The table was dirty, nothing was ready. The menu was uninteresting and not good at all. And, as if by chance, there were hardly any other customers. This restaurant is completely different since the change of ownership. They desperately need some training! But never mind. There are plenty of other places to eat nearby.

05/01/2026: Disastrous welcome. Passing through with two children, I politely asked if it was possible to have lunch. The white-haired woman replied, "If you haven't made a reservation, it's impossible. I have other things to do; I'm busy." Quite shocked by this reception, especially since several other people were being admitted directly, I pointed out that I hadn't been aggressive. Back at the car, my stunned friend said, "I'll go see for myself." The reception was just as overbearing, with the owner remaining completely unresponsive. I suspect a smile was reserved for regulars. Thank you, we won't be back.

12/11/2025: A wonderful discovery in a charming little village. The owners are lovely and the food is excellent! Kudos to the chef. Thank you for a lovely evening. Go without hesitation.

29/09/2025: WARNING: THEY NO LONGER SERVE FOOD BECAUSE THE HUSBAND HAS RETIRED!!! made the detour for nothing and on top of that the wife is super unpleasant. Update your information!!

12/08/2025: What a pleasure it was to eat at this place. We greatly appreciated the welcome every time we came. The announcement of the restaurant's closure was a real heartbreak. It will be very difficult to find such a charming restaurant with such good value for money. Happy retirement, chef, and see you soon.

25/12/2025: Is it still open?! On December 24th, it was listed as open until 6 PM on Google's special hours for that day, but in the end, the doors were closed. Not a word, nothing. Nobody there, even though we had driven across town to get there 😭 with my parents, who live 800km away and adore Pailhasson chocolates from Pau... I've been a customer since 2020, first in Tarbes and then in Pau, and I was so disappointed myself.

07/11/2025: Shop closed. Incorrect opening hours. I made a special trip... frustrating.

22/12/2025: We really enjoyed it. We ordered a cheese board and a delicious Camembert with honey. The staff were very friendly and spoke Spanish. It had a peaceful atmosphere and wasn't overrun with tourists.

26/08/2025: Boat trip taken today, August 7th. Friendly welcome. It's definitely worth the money: a 2-hour and 10-minute trip to Biarritz and its lighthouse for €25. Honestly, it was fantastic! You learn a few things, and on the return trip, you're serenaded by local folk music. There was a bit of a current, so the boat tended to rock; don't eat beforehand. Some people were seasick, but the crew has everything they need. 🤣

30/11/2025: As a loyal customer, I was pleasantly surprised to (re)discover Ad’Hoc pizzas, which are even better! The dough is perfectly made, the products and service are top-notch, and the new owners are super friendly. I highly recommend them!

04/10/2025: Already a must-see, since the recent takeover by a new owner the quality is even greater! Gourmet and generous pizzas and a great welcome!

28/08/2025: Very warm welcome. We ordered takeout. We didn't know them at all. Very good advice. Excellent products. Just maybe the price of some products was a little high.
