04/09/2026: Honestly… avoid this place… awful! Terrible service, horrible food… nothing is good, truly awful!!! We had terrible stomach aches after eating the American sandwich. And by the way, please specify the size of the sandwiches… we weren't expecting two sandwiches that were almost 60 cm long… far too big for such mediocre quality!! Reply: I find your response quite revealing of how you view reviews that don't align with your own. We left a review after an experience that we genuinely found very bad. Saying that "nothing is good," that the food is "horrible," or that the service is "terrible" reflects our experience during that visit. A negative review isn't necessarily "systematic denigration" simply because it's particularly bad. Regarding the stomach aches, we described what happened after our meal. We never claimed to have conducted a scientific investigation to determine the cause. So, to reassure you, we had to call you personally before we were allowed to mention it in a review? A curious concept of customer experience. Regarding the 60 cm sandwiches, we understand that this is your concept. We're not criticizing their size, but the discrepancy between the advertised size and the quality we experienced. And we certainly didn't think it was necessary to conduct a preliminary study of the concept before ordering a sandwich. Finally, you state that you accept criticism "when it is justified and constructive." However, criticism doesn't need to be pleasant to read to be legitimate. You are free to disagree with our experience, just as we are free to have disliked yours. From what you've written, the problem seems to be less our experience than the fact that we dared to share it publicly. Don't forget, it's thanks to tourists that you operate...

19/09/2026: The owner and his staff are very welcoming, the food is good, there are many tables outside, it's pleasant and the view is beautiful.

19/08/2026: No complaints about the service. However, the quality of the food and the chef's attitude make one long for the days when this brasserie was renowned. Indeed, the ribeye steak I was served, besides being overcooked (I ordered it rare), was ridiculously small and, above all, extremely tough, to the point that I had to send it back. The cook sent it back with the sinew removed (a quarter of the steak) and the rest cut into small pieces! So I returned the plate to him and endured his disdainful attitude. I finally left having only ordered a starter, a tiny portion of overly vinegary baby squid.

31/07/2026: €5.20 for a zucchini, carrot, and cumin quiche that was way too salty. As for the falafels, they were falafels in name only, and you'd really have to know nothing about them to think they were good. Not to mention that the 30-cent bag didn't even last 20 seconds. The only positive thing was the friendliness of the saleswoman.

30/07/2026: My fiance and I had an extended stay in Biarritz and, when we weren’t out at the restaurants, this place kept us extremely well fed. There was always something new and fresh to try whenever we stopped in. The staff is also very friendly!

06/09/2026: Reading the comments, I thought, "Whoa!" Indeed, nothing is up-to-date with the opening hours. I went there on Sunday; I'd read it opened at 4 PM, and being in Biarritz, it's quite a drive, and it was closed. Pffft. On the way back, we went to the Col d'Ibardin, and there it was open. The man told me I had to take it out two hours beforehand. I said, "Really? That long?" And he said, "It's a freezer room." Ah, okay. So it defrosted nicely, and it's fine. But why does it cost €25? Stewed pears and crème brûlée aren't exactly expensive products.

08/08/2026: Excellent vegetarian pizza, I highly recommend it. The service is fast (ready in 10 minutes) and the staff are friendly. The crust is thin but the pizza is very large, with a perfectly crispy base. Great value for money!

31/05/2026: Excellent stay from May 26th to 29th. Room 36 during our stay. A very warm welcome from all the staff, with a special mention for the girls. We found them to be professional, kind, and humorous. The room could use a refresh (worn carpet, a small refrigerator would be welcome). But apart from that, the stay was excellent. Thank you all. We will return. Keep up the good work making your guests happy and respectful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

26/09/2026: A very good experience at Café Russe in Pau! The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is friendly. A welcoming place where you can have a good time, whether for a drink or a snack. I highly recommend it!

24/09/2026: For over a year and a half now, I've been coming here and I've had the pleasure of meeting a fantastic team, always kind and smiling. I highly recommend going; the prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is always great.

21/09/2026: In a wonderful atmosphere, the restaurant "La Comédie" offers a quality menu with simple but homemade dishes. The service is very pleasant and the staff charming. My wife and I go there very regularly, and it's always a little slice of happiness.

27/09/2026: The amount of fries in the maxi best-of is getting worse and worse. Soon we'll only get two fries. It's practically a rip-off!

27/09/2026: So, I think this is the last time I order takeaway from there, every time I go, either something is missing from the order, or there is a preparation error, or it is switched with another customer's order... Tonight I ordered a big tasty 2 meat, obviously I only got 1 meat, knowing that the price is not the same.

23/05/2026: No response to our "hello" upon entering, we were given a paper bag for our purchases but it was up to us to put the products in it, just a very unpleasant experience for shopkeepers, parking with height restrictions... an inconclusive experience!

20/04/2026: Good location on the way up to the footbridge. Great for a drink at the end of a hike.

05/06/2026: We spent four nights there on a half-board basis. Hotel: The room was very clean, comfortable, and functional. A bonus: it had air conditioning. A lovely swimming pool with a nice relaxation area awaited us. Breakfast offered both sweet and savory options. The restaurant, with its superb mountain views, served high-quality regional dishes made with local produce. It was excellent and very generous. It has a family atmosphere where everyone (waitresses, cooks, owner) is truly very friendly, smiling, and attentive to their guests. The owner recommended some fantastic excursions! The icing on the cake: the bill wasn't exorbitant. Thank you for this stay!

31/05/2026: I was very disappointed by my experience at this establishment. The duck breast served was completely lacking in freshness: it was clearly cooked the day before and simply reheated. The result on the plate was extremely dry meat, which the chef attempted to mask with a generous layer of sauce. This is a shame for a restaurant that emphasizes local produce. I do not recommend it.

30/09/2026: The seafood platter lived up to its name, the cheesecake was delicious, in short, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Furthermore, the welcome was very friendly. I will be back.

22/09/2026: The €28 seafood platter consisted of 10 mussels that barely had a chance to fight, 6 shrimp, 2 tiny scallops, and one prawn. The food was half hot and cold; I searched for the parsley sauce... there were a few spider crabs, all served on a huge salad drenched in watery dressing! The bread in the baskets was stale. Shameful. A tourist trap! I do not recommend this establishment.

24/05/2026: This way of operating is quite surprising and defies all logic, or at least any coherent explanation given to the customer. Paying an exorbitant price for a savory snack and not even being able to eat it on the terrace seems absurd… if you really want to do “street food,” then make things that can be eaten standing up and without cutlery, not food that crumbles, is messy, and difficult to eat… The Basque cake was more than ordinary, and the saleswoman at the dessert counter addressed you informally without your permission, in stark contrast to the two older women who displayed a surprisingly cold demeanor.

16/05/2026: Very disappointed. The welcome was very cold. It wasn't possible to sit down to eat a quiche and a sweet tart with a disabled person. I won't be going back!

21/09/2026: A strategic bakery in the neighborhood, thankfully it's there in the evening when we need it! The pastries could use a little more chocolate, but a big thank you for the work you do, even at night; we need more resilient businesses in this district.
