04/06/2024: No me extraña nada que esté cerrado. Nunca he recibido un trato con tan mala educación como en este sitio. Es una gran pena porque es un sitio céntrico y bonito que invita a entrar.

10/04/2026: Staying for one night with my daughter, we enjoyed the place and received a very warm welcome. We took advantage of the access to the pelota court to try our hand at Basque pelota. A special thank you to Lynne with whom we shared a wonderful time. Thank you to the fantastic kitchen team, we had a feast! And yes... Sacha has the best calamari recipe!!! The hake with chorizo ​​was also excellent!

29/03/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant! The mountain view is simply incredible, and the welcome was truly exceptional. The prices are very reasonable, plus there's a large and convenient parking lot. The establishment is clean, well-maintained, and pleasant, and the local cuisine is delicious. The service was very professional from start to finish. I highly recommend it!

04/09/2024: La Royale... une institution à Anglet. On y mange bien, l'ambiance est populaire et conviviale. Personnellement, j'y mange régulièrement le menu entrée plat à 16,90€. Jamais déçu!!!! Je vous ai parlé des soirées Karaoké avc Dj Ludo ? concerts et autres activités ? Un adresse obligatoire à Anglet !

04/09/2024: Gaetan au comptoir !!! Un personnel très agréable malheureusement trop laissé à l'abandon et souvent débordé par un manque évident de personnel. Mais on revient tout le temps car c'est quand même un lieu de vie d'Anglet agréable

20/04/2026: I want to warn future travelers about the practices of this establishment, especially those who like to plan their trips in advance. I booked and paid back in March for a stay in July (5-star hotel). Less than two months before my arrival, my reservation was abruptly canceled through Booking.com without any clear explanation. After contacting the hotel, management confirmed that they practice priority booking. In short: if a company wants to book the entire hotel, your reservation (even if paid in advance) is simply canceled to make room for them. Management fully acknowledges this policy, stating that it happens regularly in June and July. Particularly disappointing aspects for a 5-star hotel: Differential treatment: The hotel doesn't bother to contact customers directly who book through online booking platforms, relying instead on an automated email. Complete uncertainty: Even with full payment made months in advance, you have no guarantee of staying at the hotel if a larger client shows up. Short notice: Being notified less than two months beforehand during peak summer season makes finding an alternative of equivalent standard very complicated and expensive. If you are planning an important event (wedding, birthday, honeymoon), I advise against this hotel: you are not immune to last-minute cancellations depending on their "private" bookings.

12/04/2026: Spending two nights at the 5-star Hotel Villa Navarre, we were very disappointed, not by the beauty of the buildings, but by the level of the facilities and services. The staff was small but highly competent. We thank them for their efforts. We hope that this hotel quickly finds a new owner capable of revitalizing this historic establishment. In the meantime, this hotel deserves no more than 3 stars.

17/09/2024: What a joy this campsite is. Authentic, clean, ideally located, quiet even on a weekend of August 15. Our 5 year old son walking around and everyone smiling at him…the wild beach, the sunsets. We will come back happily and eagerly. Thank you for preserving this kind of place.

09/11/2024: Great host who was very accommodating despite the closure of the hostel which was scheduled before our weekend. The restaurant part was closed, but Olivier generously prepared and offered us a little royal meal for my partner and me... Thank you very much!

18/09/2024: Superb place from another world, authentic, warm. Superb welcome, magnificent setting and what can we say about the meal!!! Everything is very good, served in dishes and like at home, everyone helps themselves. It’s excellent, simple and very well cooked!! Not to be missed!!
