11/05/2024: Living within easy reach to this great place, I, and many of my friends and family have experienced the great food and wonderful service given by Lisa and Franc. They excel in everything they do, especially on their special event evenings, such as the recent VE authentic world war meal so much enjoyed by those that took part. Their Sunday lunches ar now famous, and early booking is always advised, as it is so very popular!

29/04/2024: We have always enjoyed our three course Sunday lunches made by Lisa here at Le Chalet du Bois. Booking is advisable to ensure a table. There are choices for each course, including a vegetarian option. Looking forward to eating outside on the terrace when we return. Highly recommended!

04/09/2024: I’m glad to visit this hidden gem on the outskirts of Monaco. Didn’t expect to receive a warm welcome by the owner himself(Pierre). There was a table of guest when we visited, everyone was enjoying the time and food there. Yes as per other reviewer there isn’t any menu, and Pierre will offer you his best he has in his kitchen. We had fried cougette flowers, melon, figue & some cheeses (Chèvre). He recommended a bottle of wine from Corsica (42 Eur). And he asked before presenting the bottle. It’s really nice to have our meal here while chatting with him, super friendly. And not forgetting James his lovely dog. I will definitely come here again when I visit Monaco. It’s a good find on Google map.

18/08/2024: This is a hidden Gem, with a wonderfully homely atmosphere that encourages customers to chat with other patrons. The dog James was definitely a highlight. Although we enjoyed the food not having a menu was unexpected, and the overall price being €100 for 2 people was good value for money, I did have anxiety eating this this could cost anywhere form €100-€300. Pierre was a great host and I would definitely return.

12/08/2024: Great discovery! The dishes were very good and plentiful, the chef extremely friendly and accommodating. Good atmosphere too.

09/08/2024: We had lunch in this restaurant this afternoon with colleagues. We honestly didn't know what to expect but ultimately we found a very nice place. Very welcoming, the restaurant manager is friendly and warm and takes the time to explain to customers the specificities of each dish. We took a starter called “Chouba”. It's a kind of beet salad with carrots, potatoes, a homemade mayonnaise type sauce and smoked herring. Not usually liking Herring, in this salad it was simply delicious! For the main course we each had something different, I personally opted for the "Pelmeni", a kind of Slavic ravioli with pork and chicken inside, all accompanied by a salad of raw vegetables. Again there was no shortage of it, a real treat. The portions are very good, the dishes nicely presented and the manager explained to us that certain dishes are limited due to the fact that certain ingredients were finished the day before and that she would go and buy new ones, thus letting us understand that the ingredients are fresh, which is reassuring for the customer. To conclude, it is a cuisine that changes and is not very expensive (count around twenty euros for a starter + main course + drink menu at lunchtime). I highly recommend!

30/03/2024: charge more than the prices displayed, take people for idiots, €9 for a kebab without fries or drinks, it's better to laugh about it than to eat it

23/03/2024: Counterfeit CheeseNaan… Kebab meat tastes weird, my friend got sick all night mixing in this kebab a week ago. Especially given how little I have during this Ramadan period, we should have doubted the low flow rate of the kebab ball. Good fried chicken, but too bad, you should have made it your specialty.

07/04/2024: We had a fully catered option from Chez Toi in our chalet, a fantastic experience. Friendly, flexible, and amazing food. Will definitely be using again.

17/02/2024: The Chez Toi experience was amazing! Gareth catered for our party of 10 superbly! His food was exceptional every night. Cooking for 2 children & 2 veggies, each meal tasted so good that the plates were left empty. The breakfast was setup brilliantly each morning, easy for us to eat and then hit the slopes. The cakes baked for the afternoons were amazing, the lemon drizzle was 10/10! Some favourites from the menu were the veggie celery steaks, butternut steaks, the red pepper & tomato soup and the Cauliflower soups were to die for. Easily the best veggie food I’ve eaten. Thanks Gareth for the food and the company. Your food and service were outstanding. 10/10

07/09/2024: Great place with lots of charm to drink coffee, tea, homemade cakes, everything is made on site! It’s very good, go there with your eyes closed.

09/07/2024: Ici il y a un vrai cuisinier qui se décarcasse pour faire plaisir à ces clients. Les assiettes sont soignées et juste. Avec l'agneau j'ai eu la joie de le voir accompagné de 5 légumes différents (au lieu de simple frites à la c..) !!! Tout était trés bien, merci chef !! De dehors ça paye pas de mine mais un trés bel effort floréal en terrasse réjouit tout l'ensemble, bravo!! Super service "personnalisé", atypique et, sincère, gentil et souriant, merci !! Entré, plat, dessert à 25euros. Les bouteilles de vin commence à 19e. Excellent rapport qualité/prix !! On reviendra bientôt...
