13/05/2025: Very unpleasant salesmen and saleswomen, very little choice because of the small quantity even though we are on a very large campus, rooms and tables that are not clean... very bad cafeteria, surely the worst I have seen

05/04/2024: I have eaten at the restaurant twice this season…. Don’t be confused on a ski by to believe that it is just a huge terrace with snack bar for seasonairs or après ski venue (which is excellent of course), but the restaurant at the reserved end of the terrace nearest to the chalet is fantastic…. Food and service is great… menu is not massive but extensive enough and perfectly executed…. It offers bigger portions at better prices and to my tastes better and better presented and tastier than its more vaunted neighbour in the other side of the road…. This is one of the most practically placed, sunny terraces benefitting from being easily accessible from beginner slopes at the Altiport and harder slopes of Saulire and also road (and bus access)…. The inside is comfortable if the weather is bad… And I’d you hang around until 4.30 it has some of the best après in the French Alps… Great to see this iconic venue of MERIBEL refinding it’s old glory of former days

26/03/2024: Always a good time here. Excellent bands and music. Not eaten here but drank plenty. Highly recommend the toffee vodka!

12/11/2025: A short 4-day family stay in this very welcoming place, which feels more like a family home thanks to the incredibly kind manager. Admittedly, the upkeep isn't top-notch, Mr. and Mrs. Proute Proute, watch out! It's still very friendly, tidy, and clean; you just have to look at the nooks and crannies, but that's what makes this hotel so charming. You feel right at home thanks to the warm welcome, kindness, and generosity of the gentleman who runs the entire establishment (bar, tobacconist, and hotel) single-handedly. BRAVO SIR, I admire you!

24/09/2025: A very rustic hotel, with large and somewhat dusty and dated rooms.. a functional place to stop for one night and have somewhere to sleep. But overriding this is the wonderful owner Jacques, who runs it all on his own. He is preparing dinner at night, cleaning the pool and rooms during the day, and up to serve breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is pastries and coffee, with generous butter and confitures made from the figs in the garden. Dinner is a three course set meal of ham, tomatoes, vegetables in a cream sauce, with either pork or chicken and spaghetti/chips, followed by a creme caramel. It was all rather delicious and washed down with a Grimberger and creme de cassis this was a memorable authentic French experience. Get in before he sells it!

27/04/2024: If you want to taste good tapas, savor your wine, listen to good music, be well served after a day of work... then run away from this place! Poor service, excessive prices for frozen fried foods, ignorance of good service and the wine list, contemptuous boss!!! Avoid, save your money for real restaurateurs and professionals in service, tableware, and people! I expressed my amazement to the cook, without success! My experience in this place is unfortunately not the fruit of my imagination as much for my wallet as my stomach!

27/04/2024: I refute the previous opinions having come the same evening, we are entitled to pseudo culinary critics who allow themselves unfounded opinions, from "new arrivals" in the region and even more so base hate. no, without a doubt this place is very friendly, the food served is of high quality, the service is clearly at the same level. I recommend it for people who like popular brasseries shared with friends and warm atmospheres. For others, stay at home.

29/07/2024: Nous nous sommes retrouvés dans cet hôtel sur à un vol annulé, très bien. Proximité à pied des terminaux, chambres insonorisées. Lits confortables. Je recommande.

04/08/2024: A magical weekend spent at Villa Chanelle, the setting was idyllic and relaxing, the breakfast delicious, and the welcome wonderful! Not to mention the superb view of the Loire… Thank you very much for this timeless moment :)

24/08/2024: Excellent restaurant, raffiné les plats sont uniques. Accueil et explications avec le sourire. Les produits sont locaux avec carte locale à l appui. Possibilité de choisir à la carte et la quantité est suffisante. Et si vous choisissez de goûter les 5 plats les quantités le permette et la carte change souvent ! Je recommande et nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

22/08/2024: This is a great restaurant run by a young couple with a passion for food. All of the ingredients come from local producers who are equally as passionate about what they produce. The hostess is lovely and speaks English as well as French. The restaurant is quite small so book in advance to ensure a table. I highly recommend this for lunch or evening meals.
