01/12/2024: Internet order made this evening, collected at click and collect. We realized that things were missing, they collected all my pockets, after 2 weeks they told me that the pockets were full and that we even had extra drinks! As a result, the dessert from the happy meal was still missing, then they told me that no, it was not ordered, after giving them the bill, they finally gave me the dessert. I had already pointed out that everything was cold and the ice cream melted, it had to be redone but not at all!! In the end I came home with a cold order, and in the end the so-called excess drinks were removed and it was the one I ordered! So the results of the races don't believe us, they're doing shit. Cold order and missing the 2 apple juices from 2 children's menus!!!! As usual, something is always missing and what's more, they aren't even able to check the order correctly!!!!!! Inadmissible

23/09/2024: Very nice place. Ultra fast service with very pleasant servers. The cuisine is perfectly suited to a brasserie and the prices are very affordable. Good value for money. We will come back without hesitation

23/09/2024: Disappointed despite the pretty decor, but that's not all. I came to have a good time with my colleagues, some had time to be served while others were forgotten. Some dishes were almost cold, others not cooked enough (especially the fish). Very long service, and too many supplements on dishes and desserts (+2€ for a coffee????)

20/08/2024: Overall it remains a good restaurant but that day, the team was overwhelmed, an efficient waiter who did what he could but who must have felt alone, which made the service very long (but he had nothing to do with it) The cuisine of the day is nothing transcendent but remains good despite plates of charcuterie left in the ambient air for too long, an andouillette sauce a little too stuck to the powder... no time for dessert,... I will come back for a second opinion while testing the card which looks nice.

24/08/2024: Meal for 2 with a baby. Received quickly and installed on the terrace with a high chair for our 5 month old little one. Bastion salad and Bugeaud crepe. We were both delighted with the meal! Pleasant staff. Well covered terrace, but downside for the tables being a little small given the well-stocked plates 😉

24/08/2024: The worst service I’ve ever experienced in France. We were ignored by the staff who could not be bothered to take our order. The staff were very young, inexperienced and we could here them arguing amongst themselves. We waited for service, after 30 mins we went into the restaurant and asked for someone to take our order and were told by an irritated member of staff that they would come and take our order at the table. In total we waited an hour were completely ignored and it was a complete waste of our time. We told them we were leaving and my son and his family who arrived before us wanted to pay for the drinks they had had - they were told to wait to get the bill. We waited a further 15mins and eventually went inside again and said if you won’t take our payment now we are leaving. They grudgingly took payment for 6 drinks. Appalling service - can’t comment on the food never managed to order any. It wasn’t particularly busy just badly managed by poorly trained staff. I wouldn’t bother.

24/09/2024: The air conditioning doesn't work, it's very hot in the rooms, I try to work on the windows because there are two, and then I understand why, every 5 minutes a tram passes, so it's impossible to sleep in this din. It was already mentioned in the reviews in June, I said to myself in a 4 star, the problem will be resolved 3 months later: well no. And when I tell reception they are surprised... The bed sheet is not a fitted sheet, but an ordinary sheet. I wake up in the middle of the night like a caterpillar, wrapped in it, and since the air conditioning doesn't work I feel even hotter. Also lack of pillows. In the toilets, no brush...Reservation taken over the phone, I ask for 3 nights with breakfast I pay, then on arrival breakfast is not included. I ask to speak to a manager and there they find me a solution: they offer them to me. It seems like the staff doesn't know their job, except for one person at the bar. In short, I choose this category because I want to be able to sleep really well and ultimately I didn't really rest. Novotel is no longer what it used to be.

23/09/2024: Stay 2 nights Location quite close to Saint Jean station Tramway at the foot which is accommodating but also noisy. Air conditioning broken The bottom sheet is too small and we find ourselves systematically sleeping on the mattress pad. The breakfast is plentiful Overall I find that this does not reflect a 4 star

12/09/2024: Having been a regular at this restaurant for over 10 years, I have noticed a collapse in quality and service. We were served by a waiter who had consumed certain substances which were clearly visible to all, forgotten orders and incoherent speech. My dish was garnished with hair from a waiter or cook, we asked for bread that was stale, the waiter replaced it with bread from the day before put in the oven. Finally, after complaining about all this, this same server offered us a 10% discount noted on the receipt but made me pay the full amount without the discount. Thanks to my partner who noticed it when leaving the restaurant, I went back and this same waiter continued to have an incoherent and unprofessional speech and he struggled to refund the money in cash. Finally, all of the restaurant's customers did not smile and all seemed doubtful and observing the waiters who were more than incompetent and having worked in the restaurant business, I can recognize people who were not in their normal states. This restaurant is an emblem of Bordeaux and deserves better than that, both in terms of food and service. A disappointed customer.

12/09/2024: I have been frequenting this restaurant for over 10 years and have unfortunately noticed a significant decline in quality and service. We encountered several problems: forgotten orders and difficult communication with a server. My dish had hair in it, and the bread we ordered was stale. When we asked for a replacement, the new bread appeared to have simply been reheated. After expressing my dissatisfaction, a 10% discount was offered, but it was not applied at checkout. Fortunately, my partner noticed this, and we were able to correct it after leaving the restaurant. The staff seemed unprofessional and unorganized, which clearly impacted the overall experience. It’s a shame, because this restaurant, which is an institution in Bordeaux, deserves better, both in terms of food and service. A disappointed customer.
