29/08/2026: An exceptional location, but a far less-than-stellar welcome. We arrived at 11:45 a.m., in the pouring rain. The owner greeted us immediately, making it clear that we were too early, as the staff was still having lunch. We were happy to wait. We simply asked if we could have an aperitif while we waited. The response, in a particularly cold tone, was: "No, you won't have anything at all. You can sit down and we'll come see you in due course." So much for the welcome. A few minutes later, she came back to ask if we had chosen our meal… even though she had just asked us to wait. When I pointed out the way we had been received to another employee, we then overheard the staff discussing us. Discretion and professionalism were commendable… The meal itself was fine, but then came another surprise: during service, a young woman was cleaning windows and tables near the lunching customers. While chatting with her, I learned that she was actually a head waitress, but since there were few customers, she couldn't just "stand around doing nothing." In an establishment of this caliber, facing the sea in La Baule, I expected something different. A beautiful location is a blessing. Knowing how to welcome and respect one's clientele is a skill. The food may be decent and the setting pleasant, but when the owner makes you feel like you're intruding from the moment you arrive, it immediately ruins the experience. The rain drove us in. The welcome certainly won't bring us back.

29/08/2026: The quality of the wine is only on the menu, weak sweet spaghetti with shrimp. Very poor quality. The photo looks nice, but unfortunately it is not authentic.

25/07/2026: I do not recommend this restaurant. I ordered salmon pasta, which arrived in barely two minutes, giving me the impression that it had been prepared in advance. Unfortunately, it wasn't good, and I was very disappointed. The service was equally disappointing. The waitress was very unpleasant and seemed to want to decide for me what to order. I ended up choosing the salmon pasta, a choice I regretted. Then, she brought me the bill even though I hadn't finished my meal and hadn't asked for it. After paying, I wanted to order an extra beer, but she had trouble understanding my request in French, which led to a misunderstanding. Her attitude made me uncomfortable, so I gave up on my order, which made her even more unpleasant. I left this restaurant with a very bad impression. Seeing that there were only two or three occupied tables, I finally understood why. I won't be going back.

03/09/2026: A fantastic find thanks to Google reviews! The rooftop is gorgeous with misting systems, perfect for a heatwave! The bar was perfectly cooked, the service was excellent, in short, I highly recommend it!

04/09/2026: The service and waitresses were quite good. However, the food wasn't very good. I ordered a rare butcher's cut, but I received a piece of meat that was overcooked and tough. When I sent my meat back to the kitchen, the waitress brought my plate back because the cook disagreed with me. Poor value for money.

22/08/2026: A waitress was setting up the outdoor terrace, and some customers were seated at a table. I asked if it was possible to have a drink and a platter, and she curtly told me to wait. Then, coming back to me with her menu in hand, she threw it on a table, saying irritably, "You can sit here." If the restaurant hadn't been open, a simple, polite "We'll be open in 30 minutes" would have sufficed. And if this young woman doesn't like her job, I strongly advise her to find another one!

27/08/2026: Terribly rude. Left feeling like trying to stop for a drink was illegal. Cant speak to the food, cause the mere act of not ordering as soon as we sat down nearly landed me with spit in the face so didn’t get that far. Has left a foul taste in my mouth in relation to Annecy itself, hoping to turn it around because it’s such a beautiful town. Do not recommend La Galějade.

24/08/2026: After being regulars for a long time, we have to say the owner treated us very badly. We're very disappointed. The food quality has also declined, and we all felt unwell that day.

07/08/2026: The pizzas are delicious and the desserts are very good too; I recommend the enormous profiteroles! The staff gives their all and is very professional. Oh yes, and the chairs are a 10/10!

31/07/2026: Good food and generous portions. It's a shame some people acted more like they were in a bar than a restaurant, forcing us to ask to change tables because the noise level was so high... Furthermore, the wait was enormous, over an hour and a half, while people who arrived after us were served much earlier, and we were with two children. Needless to say, it was difficult to explain why we were literally starving while people who arrived 30 or even 45 minutes later were already having their meals... We even decided against ordering dessert for fear of losing another half hour or more. It's a shame... because there was no offer of compensation for the wait, just a brief explanation that it would be served, but then another 30-minute wait ensued!

13/08/2026: As a long-time customer, on Saturday, August 8th, I contacted La Boîte à Pizza, much to my regret, to find that they had taken the liberty of not answering the phone in order to fulfill their orders. Very disappointed, I went elsewhere. They have lost a long-time customer. For me, that's it for La Boîte à Pizza; I will go elsewhere.

28/06/2026: I was very disappointed yesterday with my pizza purchase; they were very sparsely topped compared to usual. Be careful if there's new staff; they need to be trained with the usual recipes!

06/08/2026: Good food, generous portions. Very slow service at first, then very fast; the table had to be vacated for another seating. The menu was complicated; I had to ask for help to understand it. To top it all off, the bill was exorbitant. Not good.

05/08/2026: Passing through Villedieu-les-Poêles, I wanted to try it out. Avoid it at all costs, I won't be going back 😡
