13/05/2026: (Bar-restaurant review) Passing through Hasparren with friends for the weekend, we stopped for a drink and enjoyed it so much that we went back that same evening for dinner. We had a wonderful meal. A family-run establishment where you feel right at home (despite some minor "rugby-related" disagreements ;-) ). We'll definitely be back if we're ever in the area again!

24/02/2026: What an amazing bar! This was my first dinner in Bayonne and I was never disappointed. The tapas of Jambon Bayonne and cheese were awesome. The staffs were incredible warm and welcoming too. I saw many locals visiting the bar, which was no doubt. 100% recommended to anyone. It’d be difficult to find a table in the dinner time so reservations might be better, in particular if you are a large group.

18/04/2026: Hello, I don't usually write this type of review, but I was disappointed with this establishment. I contacted them but received no response, so I wanted to share my experience. First, I want to clarify that this message is intended to be constructive and help improve the experience for future guests. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with our stay, especially compared to the expectations associated with your establishment's 5-star rating. Regarding the overwater bungalow: • The size and layout did not match the photos on Booking and other platforms. We had a bungalow of approximately 20 square meters, without a lounge area, which was less comfortable than we had imagined. • The sloping floor was difficult to live in, and a constant noise, probably from the pump, disturbed our stay despite our complaints. • The finishing touches in the suite were disappointing: damaged and torn curtains, a poorly attached toilet paper holder, no way to play music, a telephone not fixed to the wall, and marks and imperfections on the walls and paint. These details give an overall impression of lower quality than one would expect from a 5-star hotel. Regarding the spa: • Upon arrival, we waited 10 minutes without being greeted. • Bathrobes and towels were neither available nor neatly arranged, which created confusion regarding seating. We therefore shared a lounge chair, and no drinks were offered. • The spa did not match the images: no hammam, only a small sauna, and the showers showed signs of mold. The slippers appeared to be reused, which was neither pleasant nor hygienic. Regarding breakfast: • Arriving at 10:00 AM, several items were missing. For €36, the service seemed somewhat out of step with what is offered on-site. Other points: • I noticed on resale sites that some prices were lower than those offered directly by the hotel, with additional services included. When I mentioned this, the response was that it was due to supply and demand. It remains surprising, especially for 5-star establishments, that third parties can offer a lower price than the hotel. Positive points: • The staff who took us to the boat were very friendly and welcoming. • The sommelier was pleasant and attentive. In summary, our overall experience did not live up to our expectations for a 5-star stay, and I was quite disappointed. However, I hope that this feedback will be taken constructively to improve services and the satisfaction of future guests. 11/05/2026: A lovely little dinner for two this evening. What a pleasant surprise this restaurant was! A nice atmosphere. A very smiley, charming, and professional waitress. We tried Indian food tonight and it was absolutely delicious 🤤 😋. We'll be back and try the Mexican food next time 😜

15/05/2026: A very bad experience at Auberge 22. The restaurant charged me for a 1.5 kg meat dish that I never ate. At the time, at the register, I didn't notice the mistake and paid. When I realized it, I went back to the manager to check the bill. She acknowledged the error but didn't even know how to issue a refund to my bank card. She went to ask the waiter for money, then completed the refund with small coins… a very unprofessional situation. I advise customers to carefully check their bill before paying, because you can end up paying for dishes you didn't eat.

14/04/2026: Overall experience was excellent, as was the location on the street and the service. The food, entrées and desserts were well presented, sufficiently generous and tastefully prepared.

21/12/2025: We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at Patxi's! It was pouring rain, but the warm atmosphere of the restaurant made us forget the bad weather. The servers were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The food was varied and of high quality. We will gladly return.

20/04/2026: We happily return, though not as often as our son would like, because it's his favorite restaurant. A pleasant time spent with the owners and their fantastic waitress—it's impeccable. True professionals who still understand the meaning of hospitality in the workplace...😍 And thank you again for the candle on the ice cream for our son on Saturday night. I highly recommend it.

13/03/2026: We had a fantastic time! Loïc was an incredibly accommodating chef. And for Loïc, hip hip hooray!!! Not to mention Aurore, who was welcoming, smiling, very professional, and offered great advice. We were truly pampered. We'll be back if they'll let us in.... The complainers at table 20 😉

19/03/2026: La Pergola is the casino where my wife and I first played, brought by our friends Norbert and Elisabeth, who lived on Rue de la République at the time. For a first try, it was a resounding success. Furious at having lost, I threw my last few coins into a machine. I won enough to buy my wife a superb pair of handmade red espadrilles, which she had been wanting, and I treated everyone to the restaurant "La Banquise," if I'm not mistaken, where the four of us shared a delicious and generous seafood platter. Amazing! René
