La cuisine est raffinée , originale et le service attentionné et professionnel . Une étoile largement méritée !!!!! FÉLICITATIONS au chef et à toute son équipe . 25/09/2024: We slept Sunday and Monday night. We booked this hotel, which is in the first town across the French border, because they advertise a heated pool. Surprise that we arrived at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday and they were waiting for us to check-in and close. The boy, very kind, gave us all the instructions. Among them, the brasserie restaurant was closed. The thing is that we couldn't find any place in town to have dinner. We went to cross the border to see if we could find something in Spain and it was like a ghost town. So without dinner in bed On Monday, we intended to enjoy the heated pool and, surprise! The one that is free was closed for "maintenance" (we did not see any work on it) so the alternative was the Spa at €29 per person. A little too expensive! So we were left without a bathroom! On Tuesday when we checked out, they apologized to us and offered us the pool. After our refusal, they offered us 1 hour of Spa but in the afternoon. We had to return to Spain and we declined the offer. A shame about the bad experience we have had. The hotel is very cool and by the way, the restaurant was also closed on Monday night, but this time it caught us with supplies. I think that a hotel that wants to have 4* cannot do without giving dinners to its clients. By the way, it's difficult to understand each other because they don't speak Spanish and they understand it a little like that, like that.

24/09/2024: A hotel not to be missed under any circumstances in the charming, fabulously Basque town of Ainhoa ​​:) Top-notch service, welcome and room! And breakfast, a delight in fresh, local products. The scrambled eggs are to die for :) Thanks to the friendly owners, we will surely come back to celebrate the end of the year :)

26/09/2024: What a great discovery! Frankly the best (and biggest) rib of beef and Basque ciders that we have had the chance to discover and all that at a very fair price. A big thank you to Joël our server who accompanied us very well during our meal.

You should know that the menu available on the internet is no longer up to date... today it is offered a single dish (rib of beef) in two different menus to choose from (with different starters and desserts), and unlimited cider for 35€, or 39€ depending on the formula chosen But we really enjoyed it, it was excellent from start to finish, and very generous in portions! And helping yourself to the barrels of different ciders adds a fun side and the waiter who advises us is very nice, thank you we had a good time!

12/10/2024: Authentic atmosphere of yesteryear, albeit low season, unfortunately too limited options (30 minutes) to order dinner, but generous to provide a tasty, large pot of soup... Lots of potential in an otherwise dead village environment. Work on it. We will definitely come back if we pass through. Grtn

14/09/2024: Few hotels have welcomed us as well as the Hotel Richelieu. We were doing the Transpirinaica on a road motorcycle and the rain and fog on the Tourmalet stretch to the hotel was very hard. To the point of arriving at the hotel at 8:45 a.m., which in France is finding everything closed. Well, Viviane, who knew about our setback, had prepared an excellent hot and super filling dinner for us. His welcome was splendid, he had the table ready for us to have dinner. A very familiar and pleasant atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and very acceptable. We slept very well. I sincerely hope to repeat the Transpirinaica and we will certainly stop and have a restaurant at the Hotel Richelieu. Thank you very much Viviane for your great courtesy!!! See you!!
