09/11/2024: Nice and cozy restaurant in Ascain. We went for dinner based on the good reviews and it was a success. Of course, thank goodness that one of the waitresses was able to translate the menu into Spanish for us because otherwise it would have been difficult to know what to choose. The food is home-made, of good quality and well prepared. We ordered the Basque chicken with a side of potatoes and salad, a hamburger, also with a side of potatoes and salad, and for dessert, 3 portions of Basque tarts filled with different fruit jams. Everything was excellent, we loved it. 100x100 recommended.

01/09/2024: Long wait for order taking, small room with table placement in very close couples, table limit of 4 per place. Little choice of white wine. The dishes and culinary dishes were very good. Scallop and monkfish skewers with saffron sauce served with small vegetables and a creamed potato, really very good.

12/10/2024: Yesterday I bought 1 kilo of telines. The next day, having taken care to put them in the fridge, I had the unpleasant surprise to notice that they did not open when cooked. As a result, I bought expired shellfish from this store. I called this merchant who told me there was nothing he could do. In conclusion, I do not recommend this business at the risk of getting sick. I will immediately notify the hygiene department for further action.

29/12/2024: Shamefully mediocre. 12:30 p.m. order 2 confits and homemade fries. The confits arrive overcooked, very poor quality, the fries are overcooked and frozen. The atmosphere is torn apart between owners and waiters, the owner shakes her head as soon as their backs are turned. The waiters mislead the customers but no one is fooled. Here we don't come to the restaurant, we fill up quickly to quickly leave. Go elsewhere.... it will definitely be better.

24/09/2024: Menu at 18€: salad (from the bag) with goat cheese (frozen); piece of beef (sole!), fries (frozen) and Basque cake (not sure but I think frozen). Decent service. No credit card!
