19/06/2026: Visited Le Hammam Biarritz after a long journey from New York City to Paris via Nice, then Paris to Biarritz. When we arrived, we were exhausted and looking to spend some time between our arrival and check in for our residence. The Hammam was PERFECT. The staff is warm, welcoming, and very accommodating. They treated us with kindness and respect as we tried to communicate with them in the very little French we knew. The facilities were clean and fragrant. The Spring Reset service we received made our skin feel so soft and light. At the end, they served us a sweetened mint tea and a cookie. Truly an amazing and relaxing experience. If you are ever in Biarritz, I would HIGHLY recommend you visit here.

24/04/2026: The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room, with its lovely bathroom, was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, and the products, some of which were locally sourced, were of high quality. We will certainly return on our next trip to the Basque Country.

29/06/2026: A tragically poor manager, presiding over what appears to be a minor identity crisis disguised as a restaurant. We came in after visiting the museum because our children were hungry. We ordered food for them and coffee and soft drinks for ourselves. This prompted a spectacularly condescending intervention from a woman in glasses, who informed us, with all the theatrical hauteur she could summon, that this was “a restaurant, not a café.” The irony is that the café is downstairs, but there was no staff there. So we went to the restaurant, only to discover that we were apparently unwelcome for doing so - possibly because we had hungry children with us. It is not the customer’s responsibility to resolve the establishment’s organisational confusion. The museum is relaxed, surfer-friendly and architecturally distinctive. The restaurant, by contrast, feels stiff, generic and self-important, the sort of place designed for an imaginary tourist street in an imaginary city populated entirely by people who mistake discomfort for sophistication. The food was very good from a technical point of view, and our waiter was genuinely kind and professional. Unfortunately, good cooking and pleasant service were overshadowed by management that seemed more interested in policing the atmosphere than in offering hospitality.

14/04/2026: My experience with customer service for my kitchen was disastrous.

13/04/2026: What a bunch of thieves! You spend €8900 on a kitchen and €800 on a wardrobe, you pay €200 for delivery, and they forget two cabinets. You go to complain, but since you don't have a delivery note, they can't do anything because they apparently have no contact with their delivery drivers. And when you come back later, they refuse because you're past the two-week deadline. Fantastic customer service. I'm never spending my money with them again.

09/05/2026: Fast food in Hendaye is the same as in all McDonald's restaurants in Spain, although the flavors of the food and drinks seem slightly different. You know what to expect.

16/06/2026: A perfect 10 experience. The service was excellent: all the waiters were very friendly, attentive, and pleasant at all times. We also enjoyed a terrace with incredible views, and a highlight was that they allow dogs, which we greatly appreciated as we could eat with our dog. For our main course, we ordered calamari with tartar sauce, which was spectacular. For our second course, we had a fish dish with vegetables, egg, and cheese, and grilled beef with potatoes and salad; both were delicious and beautifully presented. To finish, we had two scoops of ice cream, which were fantastic. In total, the meal for two people with two IPA beers came to €67, which we found to be excellent value for money considering the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the service. Without a doubt, a highly recommended place that we will definitely return to.

06/05/2026: Visiting Bidart once or twice a year, this was our first time discovering the restaurant Le Cucaracha. After being approached by the manager (thinking it was closed), we went in despite it being open and thoroughly enjoyed the à la carte menu. It was sublime, especially the dessert made with apple, walnuts, caramelized fruit, whipped cream, and sheep's milk curd: simply the best! Thank you, we'll be back.
