24/01/2026: Pleasantly surprised by the €20 set menu, the quality was excellent. A starter, main course, and dessert – that's becoming increasingly rare at this price. We had lunch for under €60 for two, including an aperitif, a carafe of wine, and a coffee.

02/01/2026: Lacking space at other restaurants, we walked through the door of this establishment on Friday, January 2nd, at 1:30 PM. The seating was quick, the order was taken, and the food arrived promptly. That's where the positives end... As for the rest, the sangria was flavorless, the salad poorly seasoned, the paella had white rice, and the Basque chicken had no sauce. Oh yes, I almost forgot, the portions were tiny! We left hungry and with a bad meal. An experience to forget and definitely not to repeat!

04/03/2026: Beachfront location, but with a very busy road. Convenient for walking to Anglet or Biarritz. The welcome was great, the receptionists were fantastic. But the soundproofing is terrible! You can hear the conversations of the neighbors below, to the side, and also the traffic noise. I rented an apartment with a guarantee of peace and quiet. It's completely wrong. The traffic drowns out the sound of the ocean, and when you close the window, you can hear the other tenants! The view isn't everything. I won't be back.

09/10/2025: Exceptional setting a few meters from the port and the beach. It's the only acceptable restaurant in the area and we were very disappointed. No water or bread at the table. The dishes offered on the menu do not exist. I told you "no paella, prawns, monkfish, fish..." said the waiter. The ham croquettes are mostly potato croquettes. The mussels with chorizo ​​are swimming in a pink creamy sauce and most are already detached from their shells. They do not contain chorizo. The waiters are tattooed thugs in shorts. We miss the service of yesteryear in restaurants and when will there be an acceptable restaurant in this corner of Hendaye?

23/02/2026: Appalling, a complete rip-off. Don't go there. There are no other words to describe this establishment, which I wouldn't even call a restaurant. I rarely leave reviews, but this is absolutely necessary because it's so dreadful. A €16 salad that's barely worth €5, a €19 grilled hake that looks like shoe leather, tasteless, overcooked frozen fish served with just half a potato, a glass of wine supposedly from Graves but it's not. A disgrace. We told them all we wanted, but they didn't care. We hadn't read the reviews; we should have. It doesn't even deserve a 1.

04/10/2025: I order a tartine, and I am served a lightly toasted sandwich, with white bread, served with salad in a pocket and 3 pieces of goat cheese, a raw tomato. Everything is low-end and nothing is cooked! And what's more, all this for 9.50 euros!!! Fast food to avoid, tourist trap... the place is nevertheless pleasant!

That’s a big difference and the 3 different prices for the same pint of Guiness still smell like a calculated scam! And everyone accepts because these shameless unscrupulous traders take advantage of the fact that people no longer discuss these scams, because they come there to spend a moment with drinks where the family and no one wants to make a remark for fear of spoiling the evening for all ! And what’s more, €1 doesn’t seem like it but it’s money and €3 difference means 60% more for the same consumption! You will appreciate seeing how “at the Bar” is written. 13/01/2026: Indeed, a change of ownership can easily justify a slight price increase, which doesn't surprise me. However, I was surprised when I noticed the amount of coffee in the cups; an espresso-sized shot for a lungo seemed far too small compared to what I'm used to... I'm not writing this review to criticize our young friend who had the courage to take the plunge, but simply to get his attention. I'll be back next week, see you soon!
