05/08/2026: We came on holiday to this lovely town and ended up at this restaurant. We ordered two burgers: the chef's burger and the chicken burger, and we were quite satisfied. They even put pizza tomato on my burger, and I've never tasted anything so good. When we arrived, we barely spoke any French, but the waiters spoke fluent Spanish and helped us every step of the way. The restaurant has beautiful views of the beach; it's simply incredible. The only minor issue I found was with the restrooms. I understand they can't remove all the graffiti, but the faucet didn't have a handle, and there was no soap. Also, the toilet flush button was broken, but it worked. If they remodel the restrooms, this restaurant would be much busier, and we would definitely return.

09/07/2026: While passing through the area, we stopped to eat here, and what a treat! The owners are so pleasant, smiling, welcoming, and polite—in short, a truly lovely experience in the village. We went back three times, once for coffee and then a beer. Each time, we received a warm welcome. Their dog is incredibly sweet; she comes to greet us and then goes off for her little stroll. It's the kind of place we wish there were more of in France. Thank you so much for these wonderful moments. I highly recommend this place.

18/08/2026: So what can I say...? In my memory, McDonald's is considered fast food... 🤔 I don't know if waiting over an hour and a half for an order that was half (and I mean half) forgotten can really be called "fast food." When you point it out, they brush you off as if it were your fault, telling you, "I'm not a mind reader to know your order." And I won't even mention the tone they used when they said it to me, but logically, since you were able to prepare half my order, you must have read it at some point. So it's not a gift of divination you need, just basic reading skills, a minimum of organization, and a touch of politeness, especially when you make customers wait over an hour only to serve meals with half-empty drinks, sandwiches, and cold fries. Let's not dwell on the cleanliness and the staff's lack of effort; remember to bring tissues because none of the restrooms are stocked with toilet paper, and customers have to pick up the fries lying on the floor to prevent other customers from slipping on them. A serious reassessment and improvement would be wise, perhaps even a complete change of staff, who, by the way, don't hesitate to be rude to customers. The atmosphere among colleagues is palpable; it makes you want to work there! In any case, what reassures me is that we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes; other families waited over 2 hours and 30 minutes. And whether it was for a refund or the order itself, the wait and the incompetence were identical. Good luck to the next customers!

16/08/2026: There were oversights in our order, no napkins, the burgers were assembled hastily, and the service at the table was so poor that the person who brought us the trays seemed completely exhausted. We're still waiting for a greeting and a thank you.

12/08/2026: I booked a room at the last minute for 200 euros a night. The bed was only 140 cm wide and the mattress was hard, the room was tiny, I couldn't even open my suitcase between the walls and the bed. It was clean, but horribly expensive for what you get. 60 euros is a steal for a room like this.

07/08/2026: The room was very small, the bathroom had no door and the sink was broken; it's nothing like the photos show.

02/05/2026: After a somewhat mixed first visit in August 2024, we returned for a stay in Béarn. For me, Le Chalet is now the best restaurant in Salies, thanks to the quality of the ingredients, the superb decor, and the ambiance, which this time was a very pleasant and mellow concert – thank you Rosewoodcover! 😉 The owners are incredibly attentive, and it's clear they're invested in their establishment, as are their employees. I highly recommend it! 😊

14/08/2026: The food and atmosphere were nice, but definitely overpriced. The soup was lukewarm, with a few pieces of potato, carrot, and leek swimming in it, no beans—I hope no one thinks it's garbure (a traditional Basque soup). Five small trout from the neighboring fish farm—what a markup and what a tourist attraction when a few fresh grilled sardines would offer three times the flavor for less! The red wine came in a one-liter bottle with a screw cap that costs two euros in stores. A slice of sheep's cheese two millimeters thick, a pseudo-Basque cake made from brioche. They're taking us for a ride.

03/01/2026: We ate at this restaurant today and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. One of us has severe allergies, and they were incredibly accommodating, with the chef even coming out several times to check that the food wasn't contaminated and keeping us informed about the ingredients. This was truly appreciated. If we return to Oloron, we will definitely eat here again. Thank you for the excellent service and attention.

17/07/2026: A very good experience at L'Euphrate in Anglet. The welcome is warm and the staff are friendly, which immediately puts you at ease. The dishes are generous, well-prepared, and served quickly. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are spot on, and the portions are substantial. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the service remains attentive even when it's busy. The value for money is excellent. I gladly recommend this place to anyone who wants to share a good meal in a convivial atmosphere. I will happily return.
