14/09/2024: Very unpleasant waitress who asks us for a supplement to have a second pair of cutlery... And no hot drink when it's not even 4:30 p.m. yet. As if people didn't have a snack. The crepe we ordered wasn't even good and was served with pieces of butter straight out of the fridge... The toilets are on the same level as the rest... To avoid, there are much better ones in Chatelet.

05/05/2024: Finally writing a review of my fabulous Battlefields tour with Jon last year! I’m so pleased I chose Jon from Old Blighty Battlefield tours (who also runs the tea rooms with his wife) to research and guide me on my very moving, personalized tour of the Somme area (including Pozieres & Bullecourt ) where my Australian grandfather fought in World War I (in the 22nd battalion and related Pioneers.) Jon tailored the tour to my needs but was also very flexible about where we went. (This was particularly important as I unfortunately only had one full day. I wish I could have spent at least two days seeing the area.) While I’d seen some of my grandfather’s army records beforehand, Jon researched his and his battalion’s movements thoroughly. It was very moving to often stand either on or close to, as well as see the very places where my grandfather would have stood, fought, dug trenches, camped etc, and to visit other sites such as the John Monash centre and towns where these men might have visited /stayed in when not in battle. With his deep knowledge of the history and local geography, Jon clearly explained what happened in various locations and the context, logistics etc. I highly recommend Jon as a highly informative, articulate guide and delightful person. I felt very comfortable doing a solo tour with him.

19/09/2024: J'y suis avec ma belle-famille et nous avons été ravis de nos différents plats. La pizza était très bonne, les enfants ont aimé leurs menus. L'entrecôte était apparemment un délice. Les salades étaient bien copieuses et avec de bons ingrédients dedans ! Et les desserts, mon tiramisu pistache était délicieux !! La crème brûlée était aussi apparemment très bonne. Le personnel était très très gentil. Ensuite nous avons joué un peu au golf, qui est gratuit, mais il n'est pas très bien entretenu c'est dommage. On ne vient pas non plus pour cela principalement donc c'est secondaire et on retournera y manger quand on reviendra en Corse. D'ailleurs le restaurant est situé juste à côté d'une belle et longue plage, c'est un très bel endroit pour manger.

30/08/2024: Grosse déception cette année Nous n’avons pas retrouvé le restaurant familial où nous aimions retrouver le sourire d’un personnel aux petits soins avec sa patronne emblématique.. ce restaurant de plage avec ses jeux pour enfants pour un budget réduit veut «  visiblement » changer de statut avec des tarifs revus à la hausse pour une assiette certes améliorée limite « gastro ». Un regret d’avoir perdu notre restaurant préféré avec ses moules frites et sa mousse au chocolat pour une note, également, sucrée😉 jFG

08/03/2024: Restaurant à éviter... Ambiance très mitigée et très mal reçu. On se demande si on dérange. C'est bien dommage... pourtant le cadre est sympa.

03/03/2024: Nous avons pris des burgers à emporter. Au secours le burger cocote au poulet vendu 17,50€ à emporter avec 3 petits morceaux de poulet , 3 feuilles de salades cuites …. Bref la qualité est vraiment médiocre. À emporter encore plus cher que sur place par exemple les lasagnes servies avec salade sur place alors que servies seules à emporter au même prix …. Bref À fuir …

12/08/2024: We didn't stay at the hotel but just had dinner at the restaurant, which was delicious! Simple and very well executed traditional cuisine. We had a blast! The service was provided by the owner's mother, which made us feel like we were going to dinner at our grandmother's house. I recommend! :)

02/03/2024: A very nice address discovered by chance thanks to the magic of GPS when I was looking for a nearby restaurant around midday. Little advice, it is better to call in advance to find out if there is space because this Portuguese restaurant is very quickly full after midday, with tables mainly made up of construction workers, but also many regulars who know find the rare pearl with excellent homemade cuisine, more than generous portions, unbeatable value for money, and all served with a smile by a manager and waitresses who are friendly, polite, and devilishly efficient, even at lunch time. “hot stroke” from lunch. The setting is very simple, without fuss, the menu is short and efficient: 3 starters, 3 main courses and numerous desserts. The Portuguese cassoulet was a delight which brought back holiday memories and the homemade dessert, a real treat that I advise you to try if you have the good idea to stop at this Caravelle. A complete meal with a large bottle of sparkling wine, a quarter of wine and coffee for less than 16 euros, it deserves 5 stars and the furious desire to come back soon on my next visit to Ormesson!

Quel bon accueil Quel bon repas Quel bon service (professionnel et sympathique) Donc quel bon moment! Une bien belle étape pour notre retour vers notre île de cœur. Merci à toute l’équipe

09/12/2024: You will find specialties of Portuguese cuisine among others Maria will offer you the cod with fried potatoes a real treat, the caramel egg flan is not bad either and all this in a warm atmosphere.

11/10/2024: Maria's cooking is always so good. I always have homemade cod with flan for dessert. It feels like 1000 km away in Porto!
