30/11/2024: Very good kebab. We ate kebab sandwiches, frankly it's very good, I don't understand the negative comments, the sandwich is very good, the service is excellent, it's clear that it's not gastronomy, it's a fast food, so for a good fast food, it's great. I ate at their place today and I'm going back there tomorrow before leaving Étretat.

28/09/2024: Can we please value women a little more? After being blatantly ignored face-to-face by thr man behind the food counter, I was respectfully directed to the cashier by a fellow customer - a woman. There, a man acting like the manager told me that he is afraid to give recommendations. Here we go - another man afraid of doing his own job. Luckily, a woman cashier took my order. I’ve repeated three times that I wanted a lot of lettuce in my shawarma (a Lebanese kebab), which she wrote down. Guess what - that same guy who ignored me put like two tiny leafs of lettuce in my shawarma. As to the rest of the wrap, it’s nothing special. A bit dry and uninteresting. I much prefer the crêperie outside the LV building just up the street. PS: the narrow half-closed door is not helpful to strollers, wheelchairs or aesthetics.

03/09/2024: I ordered a salmon steak that was really not good! He was bad and completely burned out and had a stomach ache! I also had a homemade chocolate waffle, a square of melted chocolate with water, it's horrible to give that away. Extremely disappointed I had a great image of Léon my wife worked there when she was young However, the service is very good...

27/08/2024: To avoid...as other people have already pointed out, very unpleasant welcome from the owner when we simply wanted to sit on the terrace to consume drinks, with contempt she informs me that we are not priority because we are not going to lunch, and that we will have to wait a long time. However, there was only one table occupied on the terrace by other customers, but it didn't matter with such an unfriendly welcome we left for the neighboring café, obviously it's quite repetitive to send the customers away in full view. from the similarity of the other comments...

30/09/2024: As a tourist, I'm still unsure if I was overcharged or not. When I asked for their most popular dish, they recommended the kebab wrap. I should have asked about the price beforehand, but they charged me 10 euros for an incredibly small portion. Given how tiny the wrap was for that price, it was by far the worst value I've ever experienced at a Turkish kebab restaurant.

12/09/2024: I visited Kalkan doner today, a kebab restaurant with a clean and pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant was well-maintained, However, the experience fell short in a few areas. We ordered two kebabs: one standard and one Iskander. To our surprise, both looked exactly the same, with no noticeable difference between the two. While the food itself was decent, it wasn’t anything extraordinary to justify the price. The bill was surprisingly high—$39 for two kebabs and tea. For that price, we expected a bit more in terms of quality or portion size.
