17/04/2026: Hello, I am looking for witnesses to the assault that occurred on April 8, 2026, in front of (or inside) a bar in the Latin Quarter of Paris (5th arrondissement), towards nightfall. My younger brother was violently attacked and is currently in intensive care. Anyone who saw the incident, heard anything, or has any images (phone, CCTV, dashcam) is asked to come forward. 02/07/2024: As two cycling couples we stayed for five nights in the rooms above Café Velo. Our beds were super comfy and made up with sheets and a throw (instead of a duvet) just as requested. Both rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped (with the added advantage of a shared kitchen). The bathrooms also worked well – great shower, and all the sockets and hooks in the right places! We ate in the café on our first evening – lovely simple small plates with glasses of fabulous wine. We also had delicious breakfasts sitting outside overlooking the river. Truly wonderful banana loaf! The locking garage was a real bonus for our bikes. Anna and Charles couldn’t have been more welcoming – and we look forward to a return visit!

10/06/2024: Stopped for a late lunch and a drink. Service and food was very good. Location facing the river and bridge made the cafe very accessible. Staff spoke good English.

07/05/2026: The manager was absolutely fantastic. Before and after our camping trip, we simply had to end our journey at this place. We were disappointed to have to leave. A huge thank you!

Easily accessible, it's a convenient starting point for exploring Touraine, its landscapes, and its heritage, while offering a peaceful environment once inside. The welcome is warm and professional: you immediately feel expected and well taken care of. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with pleasant bedding that allows you to truly rest after a day of driving or sightseeing. The soundproofing is adequate, which is appreciated given the proximity to the main road. The restaurant also deserves special mention: the cuisine is simple, generous, and carefully prepared, showcasing quality ingredients. The breakfast is hearty and varied, perfect for starting the day off right. The value for money is quite reasonable, making this hotel particularly suitable for travelers passing through as well as those wishing to stay for a few days in Touraine. A reliable and friendly address, which we gladly remember and recommend without hesitation.
