14/05/2026: I had a wonderful time at Chez Bartolo! The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for sharing a delicious meal with friends or family. The service is attentive, and the dishes are as beautiful as they are delicious. 🍝 The truffle pasta was incredibly creamy, with a perfectly balanced truffle flavor. A real winner! 🍋 The lemon pasta offered a unique and refined touch of freshness, with light yet flavorful notes. 🥤 The homemade iced tea was very refreshing, natural, and perfectly sweetened—ideal to accompany the meal. 🍓 And to finish, the red berry panna cotta was simply perfect: smooth, light, and enhanced by flavorful red berries. A truly wonderful discovery that I highly recommend. I can't wait to go back!

26/04/2026: My second visit to Borsalino completely redeemed myself after the first. The pizza I chose on my first visit had been a bit of a disappointment (too much cheese and a bland taste). This time, my burger and fries were delicious and generous. The burgers and other meat dishes had caught my eye on my first visit. The same goes for the dessert: the profiteroles. Beyond the food, I really appreciate the restaurant's ambiance with its little booths, which, in my opinion, create an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. Also, on both of my visits, the service was excellent.

26/04/2026: On the evening of July 13th, five friends and I ate on the terrace at Borsalino. The setting is pleasant, the service quick, and the staff truly welcoming and helpful. It's a pleasure to be so well received. After our meal, we went to take a look inside the restaurant, and it's well worth it. The decor is stylish and inviting, and there's a lovely pizza area in the middle of the dining room, right in the heart of the action, as they say. At the entrance, we also appreciated the display of the commitment charter and the origin of the meats. It's professional and reassuring. As for the food, the pizzas were good, the dough perfectly executed… but we had the impression of eating a cheese pizza with extra pizza topping, as the cheese completely covered everything. The other toppings seemed to have given up the ghost, crushed under an avalanche of milk. In short, if you love cheese, you'll be in heaven. If you're looking for the other ingredients, you'll need a compass. A friend ordered a watermelon and mozzarella salad, visually appealing and original, but not very generous, especially for the price. The value for money seemed inconsistent across the dishes. And then… there was the unexpected cloud of smoke. On the terrace, it's perfectly possible to enjoy your pizza with the enticing aroma of a neighbor's cigarette. That evening, a dedicated smoker behind our table managed to perfume our dinner better than any air freshener. A non-smoking area wouldn't be a bad idea for those who prefer to smell their pizza… rather than their smoking neighbor. In short, a warm welcome, a lovely setting, and positive intentions, but a little more balance in the dishes and less smoke in the air would make the experience all the more enjoyable.

16/05/2026: Superb restaurant. We were able to get a table despite not having made a reservation. The service was friendly, pleasant, and offered helpful advice. The food was delicious. Excellent value for money. Cozy atmosphere. Vegetarian options are available.

07/05/2026: I'm giving one star to the chef who made the pizza. It was excellent. I'm also giving one star to the waitress who took my order. Very pleasant and courteous. However, it's a shame that we can't give zero stars, or even -5 stars. The owner is about as welcoming as a prison door. I don't think he's really suited to this profession.

05/05/2026: I'm not going to contradict the other reviews. Excellent atmosphere, the pizzas are good (a little salty? but personally it doesn't bother me), very reasonable prices, and board games for those who want to eat in. This pizzeria has been around for over 10 years, and there's a reason it's still going strong! It's a shame the pizzeria isn't always open (like today), but the staff needs to rest too, so they can always provide a great atmosphere while serving, and enjoy their lives as well :) We'll order tomorrow :D

29/04/2026: Hello, I'm sincerely disappointed. I ordered a lemon meringue pie, and given the price of €8.50, I expected a proper pastry, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I had to send it back to the kitchen, explaining my disappointment to the chef, and to make matters worse, I received no response whatsoever.

25/02/2026: We were very displeased with the way we were treated by the waiter. He was extremely unfriendly and disrespectful. This behavior is unacceptable and unfortunately ruined our experience.

10/04/2026: It's a brasserie, not a snack bar. Excellent value for money, the waitresses and waiters are top-notch. The owner is a character. Family atmosphere. I recommend it.

13/04/2026: We come from time to time and are never disappointed! The atmosphere is refined and chic, and the staff is pleasant and professional. On sunny days, the restaurant offers a lovely hidden terrace in the inner courtyard. An Italian menu just the way we like it, accompanied by a fine selection of wines that pair perfectly with the delicious cuisine. A wonderful place in old Périgueux, a stone's throw from the basilica.
