14/05/2026: A very pleasant evening meal here, part of the hotel where I was staying. The cocktail I had was delicious! Followed by linguine. Vegetarian options limited, but fish and meat options are good. My partner had the steak and raved about it! The desserts were excellent

09/04/2026: My first time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with excellent soundproofing. The daily special included an amuse-bouche, a main course (fish or meat), and a gourmet coffee (or tea), all at a good price and served quickly. I recommend it.

25/07/2026: What a mess! The place is not welcoming at all. We sat down for a drink when there were only two people at another table, and 15 minutes later no one had arrived. Shameful!

06/07/2026: Fake phone number for booking, bogus email address; 4 emails sent to book with no response! Has the restaurant closed down??? I'm going to check in person tomorrow to claim my gift voucher from last Christmas... I'm leaving with a very bad impression and I feel very sorry for the people who gave me this gift :(

03/05/2026: I highly recommend that anyone wanting to have a pleasant time stop by the Jean Bart establishment. The welcome is excellent, the staff are very friendly, and so is the owner. I highly recommend it.

20/07/2026: We came today and what a treat! The fries actually taste like potatoes and the hamburgers are to die for! Everything is fresh, generously filled, and the sauces are incredible too! You can go there without hesitation!

18/08/2026: A very charming bistro in Gournet, also popular with locals. My personal favorite this year was the haddock tartare, and my husband loved the desserts.

02/08/2026: The SHAME of Bergues! Bergues, its history, its ramparts, such a charming and touristy place. Yet, right in the middle of the square, a blight tarnishes such a beautiful postcard. We ordered chicken with Maroilles cheese, of course! We were looking for some authentic Northern French cuisine... The fries? Frozen!? The Maroilles sauce? Too runny. The chicken? A disaster! We were served a measly piece around a bone, not even the carefully selected chicken breast like all the other restaurants offering this menu. You pull it apart and find blood, a sign of very poor cooking. The waitress, looking embarrassed, confided that the pieces are received like this. We therefore assume very poor quality poultry bought in bulk and cheap. A second plate arrives. No better. We point it out, force ourselves to eat, disappointed. The waitress asks about some kind of compensation. Two coffees, but we don't want them. No discount on the bill. When it came time to pay, we explained our disappointment to the owner. Unpleasant, she pointed out that two plates had been served, and that it cost extra. She was trying to make us feel guilty. She made it clear that she didn't care about people's opinions because her chip shop had been around for 40 years and always had plenty of customers. Of course, since it's the only chip shop in town! Sad. Avoid at all costs!

02/08/2026: A very good experience with the "gastronomy" featured in Dany Boon's film shot in Bergues. The fricadelles and homemade fries were excellent. Ordered for two, served for five.

14/07/2026: A Lille institution for those who love to party and discover up-and-coming artists and new musical styles. It's also a great spot for thirty-somethings like myself who don't always know where to go to have fun in Lille. It's spacious and well-located. The drinks are so-so and a bit pricey, though. I didn't try the kitchen area; I don't even know if it's still there. Overall, it's a place where you can easily meet people and leave having had a great time!

05/04/2026: We went on a Saturday night. The restaurant was empty. Nevertheless, we ordered some very good starters and two main courses: beef in Thai sauce and chicken noodles. Honestly, it was very, very good; the food was impeccable.

15/07/2026: You changed the garlic bread and salad that I could eat on a beggar's head :( The staff were nice, but tonight we're listening to Vitaa? Boo 👎🏻 Update: THE GARLIC BREAD IS BACK! NO VITAA TONIGHT!

11/04/2026: I ordered using my wife's account on their website, so the order cost me 30 bucks. They brought it to me, and guess what? Three burgers were missing! I called them, and the woman, already unpleasant, answered, "Yeah, we can't do anything," etc. I said, "Oh yeah, so my kids aren't eating?" She said, "Well, we can't do anything..." And the worst part is, she told me to stop yelling, lol... Avoid this place; the manager is ungrateful. I'm never eating there again, that's it.

10/04/2026: Ordered takeout, result: undercooked fries, and instead of a steakhouse, they just served a measly hamburger. Shameful.

01/05/2026: A very good experience at La Svolta. Opened on May 1st, welcoming. No complaints, the pizzas were good and the tiramisu too 👍
