27/05/2025: Since the change of chef, the menu evolves every week. Broadly speaking, we have a choice between cuts of meat, burgers, and vegetarian options, always at a good price for the location. The side dishes also vary, which is a very good thing for this corner of Lille, often stuck in gastronomy. The service is impeccable, the barmaid is smiling and creative in her cocktails, which I recommend!

04/09/2025: Chez Shao is my favorite restaurant. I've been going there for 17 years now. It's a Chinese restaurant with a wide selection of choices, and at very affordable prices! I often order large portions with multiple dishes, and it costs around twenty euros per person. I recommend the pineapple chicken, the caramelized pork, the beef with onions, the crab omelet, and the fish curry! I hesitated for a long time to write this review because it's both a great restaurant and I was afraid it would get too crowded if I talked about it too much, which is why it deserves it. I realize I was an idiot, come with your eyes closed, you'll eat well and at a good price.

Pauline is a very skilled massager and knows how to balance gentleness and firmness. Massage Experience with Cécile. Excellent one-hour Ayurvedic massage. Cécile was very gentle and attentive. A truly delicate massage, just as requested. Herbal tea was offered before or after the massage. A warm welcome.

14/12/2024: Frankly, for a channel it was very good. Smiling and efficient staff, huge all-you-can-eat buffet of very good quality, unlimited drinks, tender and very high quality meat, I will return without problem.

31/01/2026: For two years I've avoided going back because each time the welcome and service deteriorated a little more. Today, I wanted to please my husband: continuous service, arriving a little before 6 pm knowing that we could then get a banquette and decent service. Continuous service confirmed on the website. And also on the windows when we arrived. I was met with the response, as if I were an idiot, "Oh no, Madam, not since Covid." Except that Covid ended more than two years ago: when will they think to update the information? So, for something just as good, less expensive, with a pleasant setting and friendly service: in Lille, Brasserie Campion and Café de Paris. Also more expensive, better, with a pleasant setting and friendly service: Les Bouchers Bien Élevés in Vieux Lille. A word to the wise…

30/01/2026: Honestly, it's shameful. We arrived, specified that we were there to eat, and were seated. Then the wait began when a waiter asked us, "What would you like?" So we ordered an aperitif, but we weren't given the menu. The waiter replied, "Well, you should have told me!" 😰 Then he gave us the menu and set the table. The aperitifs arrived, and he asked us, "Have you chosen?" 😳 He had just placed the menus on the table. We ordered the main course, and it arrived, to our great disappointment. I ordered carbonnade. I got about ten dry fries and a piece of meat that resembled a bale of straw. Luckily, there was a little bit of sauce to soften the rest of the dish, which was just chunks of fat. Honestly, I think if I had ordered a children's menu, I would have been served much better; the portion was far too small. We ate with the leftovers from our aperitif because the waiter didn't even ask what we wanted to drink. We finished our meal and waited to pay. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the waiter, and we received a 10% discount, which is frankly ridiculous for what we ate. Anyway, I honestly don't recommend this restaurant. The food quality is terrible; it's worse than fast food. Avoid this restaurant if you don't want to pay for nothing.

17/11/2025: We had a wonderful evening at the L’Hippodrome restaurant in Marcq-en-Barœul: a delicious meal, a warm welcome, top-notch service, and we were lucky enough to have a race on that day! Magnificent view of the tracks and the option to bet directly from the dining room. A truly great experience, we'll definitely be back! 😊

18/10/2025: Pleasant restaurant in the setting of the racecourse. Friendly service. As for the food, it was very average. The wild sea bream in a ballotine was too dry. The wild boar was super dry and unpleasant on the palate. We do better at home. It's very disappointing for a restaurant of this standing. Even at 137, it's simpler, it's cheaper, and the food is better. The dessert enhanced the quality of the meal. It's beautiful, but it's not good. Try to improve. See you soon.

05/01/2026: What a great find this restaurant was! The menu is varied, with plenty of options including vegetables, fish, and more. Everyone enjoyed their meal; it's a shame they were out of the cod, which had been so popular. The dessert menu is also very appealing. We'll be back!
