11/05/2025: I agree with other reviewers who stated to not trust the Google reviews. We had chicken curry, coconut milk rice and fried rice with chicken. None of the dishes are cooked with vegetables! The curry was lackluster and chicken had a weird texture. The fried rice was very dry. If you are looking for Asian cuisine, I wouldn’t recommend. It is very affordable however!
01/05/2025: Great welcome! We took takeaway and my partner had chips while it was being prepared to keep him waiting even though he didn't have to wait long!
Very good address to remember, the dishes were very good
A small downside for the spring rolls which were not very garnished with meat but we will come back with great pleasure! ☺️

12/12/2025: I really love this restaurant, the welcome, the service, the atmosphere and of course the food!! A slight disappointment with the desserts on my last visit which I found a little bland, but the dish of the day (pork chop with smoked paprika and sweet potatoes) was exceptional!
08/12/2025: A lovely spot just steps from Lille Flandres train station. It was delicious and very generous! We'll definitely be back!

25/12/2025: A very good restaurant with simple cuisine (that's a compliment) and no missteps. We loved our steak tartare and the fries were excellent. The only downside was the very, very slow service.

06/11/2025: Not great. The salmon pizza was loaded with salmon but had nothing else on top… the portion of dough was too small; you'd need two slices to fill an average adult… for the price, it was pretty bad.
05/11/2025: Very disappointed by this restaurant; many things were missing (no Italian wines, no scallops, no stuffed ravioli). The pizzas were far too overcooked and dry, and the cook made an unpleasant remark suggesting adding water.

26/10/2025: It's always a pleasure to come and eat at the Peplum. The waitresses are friendly, and the value for money is excellent. The fries are very good, as is the pitta. Probably the best pitta plate in the area. That's why we came from Maubeuge.

26/10/2025: Maybe they had an off-night, but the sushi I had was dreadful. The rice was incredibly mushy and wet. It felt like I was eating porridge. The taste of the fish didn't bring it up enough unfortunately. When I am in Lille again I will be avoiding this place..

09/02/2026: I came this weekend to eat there, and the food was really good, no complaints there. However, I was greeted by a very cold (and burly) young man when I arrived.
A real shame! My friend, who arrived before me, made the same comment that the welcome hadn't been great.
08/02/2026: Nice little dish, but the service was a bit slow. Also, the waitress couldn't tell us what was in the "gourmet coffee." She just said it was little cakes 😁 and well, yes, I figured.

14/01/2026: I stopped by this morning and was served by the young man. Impeccable service, very friendly and helpful. I had a coffee, which was excellent, and a Nutella Liège sandwich, generously filled and very good. I highly recommend it!
09/01/2026: I went to get a waffle last week, and to put it mildly, I was very disappointed. It was barely a waffle; it was more like an extra-hard potato chip and not good at all. I also had a "hot" chocolate, which was anything but hot. I won't be going back, frankly, I'm disappointed.

15/01/2026: I'm reacting to KFC's recent switch to "all halal." In a secular country like ours, I don't understand this decision. It's not just an option, but the entire menu.
Why cater exclusively to one religion and ignore others? I find it unfair. Furthermore, we often forget that this method of slaughter is more cruel than conventional methods.

14/01/2026: The hotel has creaky wooden floors, so if your upstairs neighbor isn't asleep, you can't sleep either, as you hear every step and every movement. I was really disappointed with this experience.
24/12/2025: Excellent hotel! Very friendly staff.
My room was small, but clean and comfortable... comfortable double bed and pillows... I slept great!
Breakfast was delicious... plenty of choice.
The soundproofing between rooms is poor... that's the only downside, but it was quiet at night.
I'll definitely return to this hotel...
