24/06/2026: Great value for money. However, the decor is very minimalist: no small bowls for soy sauce, and plastic bowls. Clearly an interior that could use a makeover. But the food was good – with some influences that are certainly not Japanese, such as a skewer with a bacon roll filled with cheese…😳

12/06/2026: The cleanliness of the tables needs improvement; there was a real lack of cleanliness (crumbs, bits of sandwich). I had a chicken curry sandwich where I couldn't find the chicken, but there was curry everywhere. As for the service, there were order errors. The organization is poor; there are too many staff members in a small space, they're tripping over each other, talking at once, rushing customers—the overall atmosphere is quite bad! And worst of all, one of the employees, an older one, spoke very rudely (reprimanding her) to a young employee in front of all the customers. This is unacceptable and toxic!

24/04/2026: A very beautiful and charming hotel. It's a real treat to be able to work remotely from their garden overlooking the lake. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The only improvement worth noting is that they don't have a dinner menu; they might suggest what they have available at the time.

We had the opportunity to DJ at a wedding there, and everything came together perfectly to create a truly memorable moment: an elegant setting, seamless organization, and a professional and attentive team. The venue lends itself ideally to musical direction, with a real sense of cohesion between the spaces and the key moments of the event, from the cocktail hour to the evening reception. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue to both couples getting married and vendors.

11/05/2026: A lovely pub with a beautiful setting, both inside and out, and very attractive interior decor. There aren't as many traditional Flemish games available inside as in other pubs. The carbonnade was a bit of a disappointment; it lacked sweetness and was rather bland. The Welsh rarebit, however, was very good. They have a great beer selection! The service was a little cold and the food was a bit slow to arrive.

02/06/2026: Nice golf course with a great welcome overall. I went on a rainy day, but the surroundings were very pleasant. The clubhouse was excellent after a lovely afternoon spent there. I'd definitely go back!

30/05/2026: Visiting from Canada, we enjoyed a wonderful meal at your restaurant. The service was excellent. My sister and I came here on May 14 to retrace the steps of our father who was billeted at the former chateau on this site. In the fall of 1944 his Royal Canadian Air Force 409 squadron took over the Lille airfield and drove the Germans out of the area. When I read references about the war much is made about some infamous Nazi who occupied the chateau….perhaps more credit needs to be given to the Canadian pilots and crew who helped liberate the area and drive the invaders out of France!

02/04/2026: We had booked a table for 9 people, and at the owner's request, we were supposed to arrive at noon sharp! We were all at the door in the RAIN at 11:55 am. We tried to go into the restaurant, and the owner came and lowered the gate, grumbling that it wasn't time yet… Given the reception, we left to have lunch elsewhere!

03/05/2026: A small neighborhood brasserie with very friendly, always welcoming and smiling staff. They serve classic brasserie dishes that are always well-prepared and in generous portions, offering excellent value for money.

23/03/2025: Very good but how expensive it is! we come from Toulouse, the 4th largest city in France, with very good Italian restaurants and better prices. Entry at 20 euros!! (Vegetables) Pizza for 24 euros and pasta dish for 23. We also indulged in the cocktails which were excellent. On the other hand, the gourmet coffee (12 euros), some customers were spoiled with beautiful pieces of dessert and we had a mini teaspoon of tiramisu (the others were nice portions) and 6 desserts while we only had 5. And to finish all that, despite a bill of more than 110 euros, the other customers were entitled to a free limoncello digestive, but no others! It’s not great to differentiate between customers like that.

15/06/2026: False advertising, the drinks are a bizarre, very fluorescent color, the burgers are pointless—empty, flat, and cold, the so-called nuggets are anything but nuggets, and the fast food smells awful. And that's not all—really, avoid it!

30/03/2026: A wonderful discovery! A pleasant and tastefully decorated restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and great energy. Warm welcome and attentive service. The €15 daily special was very good and well-presented. A lovely time shared with a colleague. The only slight drawback: the plates weren't hot enough at first. We'll be back, and with the family too.

20/11/2025: Le Carré d'As is a very friendly place for a drink or a meal. The food is excellent; I thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner is very welcoming, so go in and you'll have a pleasant time. Sandy

14/11/2025: This is my second time at David's restaurant in Carré d'As! He's a dedicated person, always kind and friendly, whether with walk-in customers or regulars. He remains true to himself in all circumstances, and that makes all the difference! Highly recommended for the quality, taste, and price of our meals: absolutely flawless. Honestly, don't hesitate!
