07/08/2026: Excellent lunch at Maison de Pierre for our wedding anniversary. We received a warm welcome and were attentive throughout the meal. Our preferences were respected but also challenged, much to our delight. Special mention for the rosemary focaccia! Many thanks to the entire team.

02/09/2026: Fantastic authentic Basque restaurant in the heart of Saint Jean. Food is epic thanks to the owner-operator chef, team is enthusiast and fun, probably one of best braised cooked fish you can order in the region. Get a table now, this could easily be a Michelin-starred restaurant.

29/08/2026: Charming restaurant, we had a wonderful meal. The turbot cooked over charcoal and the vegetables were excellent, and the smoked sardines and fried anchovies served as starters were very well prepared. Attentive but unpretentious service.

30/08/2026: Don't miss this iconic and welcoming restaurant if you're in Ciboure! The traditional cuisine is delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The staff is very attentive and kind. They've been preparing their traditional specialty, "Ttorro" (similar to a fish and seafood stew), for over five decades. It was absolutely delicious, as was everything else I tried (including the desserts, of course). I discovered this place thanks to the program about the French Basque Country, "Viajeros Cuatro," which aired in July of this year on the Spanish television channel Cuatro (attention, Ms. Celine!!). I can assure you it lives up to its reputation. Reservations are highly recommended.

The pairing with three glasses of wine is a bonus and allows you to appreciate this delightful experience even more. The welcome is friendly and the service is quick. Simple and efficient!! The location couldn't be more idyllic, with its terrace overlooking the surrounding mountains. As for the large dining room, it can accommodate many guests. The only downside is the acoustics, which create a bit of a buzz that might be bothersome for those wishing to enjoy a quiet moment. We were delighted and will gladly return 🤩

17/09/2026: Outstanding meal and service - could not and would not have changed a thing. Reasonably priced for a phenomenal meal. The wine recommendation was spot on as well as a thoughtful explanation of the menu. Love love love this bistro. Highly recommend and would revisit in a heartbeat. Being dog lovers also loved that it was a dog friendly establishment and the resident pupper is so sweet and lovely.
