Les meilleurs restaurants en Pyrenees-Atlantiques

15/09/2024: We came twice, the first for a coffee, then after seeing the dishes from the lunch service, we came back the same evening to enjoy it with friends! Having not made a reservation and the restaurant being particularly busy that evening, we were kindly offered to serve us anyway. I can tell you it was worth it! The setting is super nice during the day, but at night, we saw the stars and the village, with the river below. The food was killer, not one starter or main course disappointed us, and the chef was even kind enough to make a vegetarian special which was really top notch. Thank you to the whole team for their warm welcome.

24/09/2024: Lovely location. Drink prices expensive but you can see that before you choose to order. Lovely friendly female member of staff. Beware the arrogant male bar tenders who are not busy but will snigger and ignore you standing at a counter with a closed sign you don’t notice until you see them start to serve others who arrive after you at another counter and serve them first. Obviously they missed out on our normal tipping we give for good service. Still sniggering????

20/06/2024: Magnificent view of the Pyrenees. Very pleasant terrace. Fast service, efficient and smiling waitresses. The caramel crepe was delicious! Good value for money.

16/06/2024: Very welcoming staff. The ice creams are good. And if the weather is nice, we're outside and the view is superb. Very pleasant.

22/03/2024: We are regulars at La Pierre and on several occasions we have had dinner at this restaurant, raclette, fondee, a la carte... today at 8:00 p.m. we went to order 2 pizzas to take away and they took our note and told us that for 10 p.m. Ok, well, we make time, anyone who knows the season knows that there isn't much but hey, if you have to wait, you wait. When we went to pick them up at 10pm he told us that the oven had broken and that he didn't have our pizzas. We have asked him if he would give us anything to take and his response was that he had nowhere to put it. We told him that we had nothing for dinner and since we had a dog we couldn't dine inside nor did he have anything to offer us to take away... obviously, we won't be back. The rest of the places were already closed. We didn't want any luxury, oysters, just dinner because we made time until 10pm….

10/08/2023: Go for it.. The decor is nice, the welcome too, as for the dishes, they are good and generous. The Italian tartare for me and the rump steak from Madame were just delicious! Good address.

01/09/2024: Pour y avoir mangé une vingtaine de fois, c’est de loin le meilleur restaurant italien de Pau. Après avoir testé plusieurs pizzerias, je n’ai jamais mangé une pizza aussi bonne qu’ici (la spéciale Don Giovanni). La pâte à pizza est fine, et les produits choisis sont d’une grande qualité. Les prix sont corrects, et ce restaurant accepte les tickets restaurant ainsi que les chèques vacances. Le seul bémol serait la salle, qui est parfois un peu trop bruyante…
