04/10/2025: I order a tartine, and I am served a lightly toasted sandwich, with white bread, served with salad in a pocket and 3 pieces of goat cheese, a raw tomato. Everything is low-end and nothing is cooked! And what's more, all this for 9.50 euros!!! Fast food to avoid, tourist trap... the place is nevertheless pleasant!
13/08/2025: Very good and very lovely price, right in the heart of Les Halles. Perfect for a quick and good meal! The staff is really very friendly and the quality is excellent... homemade fries 😋.

03/09/2024: When you have a memorable experience in a bad way like this, you take the time to write it down, because neither French nor Spanish should have to endure this restaurant. RUN AWAY.
- 3 bitter old managers behind the bar have only one ability: to shout at the young waitresses who arrive crying at our tables, without a manager to help them manage a 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. service.
- Direct impact of their lack of organization: 30 minutes to get bread (!) 1h30 wait to get the main course (!!), tables tired of waiting everywhere, and managers who stir up even more air because they drown in a glass of water.
- In fact, if you made the effort to ignore the wait and the dirty tables, you would think that the kitchen was ok, but unfortunately it was almost cold on arrival, with pieces of glass in the dishes in sauce (!!!)
Hey, managers, what if you reworked your organization? That would be a greater success than making people cry in the workplace.
02/09/2024: The food is bad, oily potatoes fried hours before and reheated, stinky fish, desserts with a bad taste and the smell of a dirty cloth, the girl who served smelled bad. Very high price for poor quality that it serves. Awful

24/01/2026: Pleasantly surprised by the €20 set menu, the quality was excellent. A starter, main course, and dessert – that's becoming increasingly rare at this price.
We had lunch for under €60 for two, including an aperitif, a carafe of wine, and a coffee.
02/01/2026: Lacking space at other restaurants, we walked through the door of this establishment on Friday, January 2nd, at 1:30 PM. The seating was quick, the order was taken, and the food arrived promptly. That's where the positives end...
As for the rest, the sangria was flavorless, the salad poorly seasoned, the paella had white rice, and the Basque chicken had no sauce. Oh yes, I almost forgot, the portions were tiny! We left hungry and with a bad meal. An experience to forget and definitely not to repeat!

09/10/2025: Exceptional setting a few meters from the port and the beach. It's the only acceptable restaurant in the area and we were very disappointed. No water or bread at the table. The dishes offered on the menu do not exist. I told you "no paella, prawns, monkfish, fish..." said the waiter. The ham croquettes are mostly potato croquettes. The mussels with chorizo are swimming in a pink creamy sauce and most are already detached from their shells. They do not contain chorizo. The waiters are tattooed thugs in shorts. We miss the service of yesteryear in restaurants and when will there be an acceptable restaurant in this corner of Hendaye?

11/11/2025: It's shameful to sell smoothies made with frozen fruit mixed with a glass of water, and churros that are just sticks of oil and dry with no taste!
We should have checked before going.

24/09/2025: They provide terrible service and discriminate against Brazilians. They are rude and impolite. I was mistreated. They accepted everyone's credit card except mine, I had to pay 20 euros in cash, and they withheld the invoice and receipt. I was almost kicked out. I suppose that this behavior from an attendant who said her name was Angeline was due to my request to be served by a Brazilian woman who was there. I do not recommend this place to anyone. This episode occurred on August 16, 2025, when I was preparing for my pilgrimage to Compostela. Furthermore, the price I was charged seemed absurd for what I received. The man at the cash register also participated in this discrimination. I would even say that the treatment I received from this couple was hostile.

20/03/2024: Le cadre de vu est super.
Au bout de 50min d'attente nous avions décidé de partir, à ce moment là la jeune serveuse arrive avec nos plats. Nous lui faisons remarqué avec courtoisie bien entendu qu'on s'apprêtait à partir. Au lieu d'avoir une réaction professionnelle c'est à dire une excuse au minimum. Sa réaction était insolente. Choqué nous avions préféré de partir sans causé de heurt.
On ne vous parle l'absence des salutations de courtoisies, des sourires. Mais surtout quand un client renverse une bouteille d'eau et se casse au sol. La jeune demoiselle se met à rire moqueur et ne ramasse même pas les verres.
C'est impensable. Donc ce restaurant est A FUIR.

23/08/2024: Nous étions 4 et avons tous apprécié notre dîner. Le service a été rapide, nous avons aimé le style du restaurant, l'accueil des serveuses, les mets simples mais avec du goût, une bonne bouteille de vin. Au top et à recommander.
15/08/2024: Restaurant à fuir ! La viande est nerveuse, les frites pas cuites et si on a le malheur de dire quelques chose à la serveuse blonde : on se fait très mal parlé : il ne faut pas travailler au contact des gens si on a pas de tact !

27/08/2024: These are the restaurants you love France for: simple creative cuisine with great product quality. We didn’t plan to eat it a lot but ended up eating appetizer, main and dessert.
Atmosphere is better inside than outside I feel - outside lacks the coziness.
Super friendly and funny service.
Food was great product quality and had creative combinations. E.g. marinated raw tuna with passion fruit sauce and fennel salad.
The dishes could have been even more refined but for this setting and price point it’s fair.

03/07/2025: A magnificent, enchanting interlude from arrival to departure! A warm welcome, a bucolic setting in a most pleasant calm, we felt right at home, the staff is smiling and caring. A romantic dinner on the terrace, blown away by the contents and packaging of each dish, with careful consideration given to the combination of flavors, an evening masterfully orchestrated by passionate waiters, managing to be present for us without being omnipresent, it was truly a wonderful moment of sharing!
An evening of awakening for our taste buds, both savory and sweet, special mention for the desserts, to die for! The price of the menu is justified; you won't leave the table hungry, far from it! The icing on the cake, we shared a delicious moment with Cédric at the end of the meal, who took the time after his day; it was charming! Not forgetting his sunny wife Marion with whom we also had a very nice time, thank you very much to you both, to the whole team at the Auberge Basque, we will remember this stay and will definitely come back!
