09/05/2026: A takeaway pizza restaurant with a few tables for enjoying an aperitif while waiting for your pizza. The pizzas are excellent, made with fresh ingredients. The restaurant is located in the center of Ascain, near the market hall, which makes it a pleasant place to stop at the end of the day, especially after climbing La Rhune (up and down). Thank you, don't change a thing!

13/04/2026: This pizzeria is really lovely. The owner and the young chef are charming. It's the first time we've ever finished our pizza, not because they were small (29 cm) but because they were excellent: very thin crust, perfectly cooked, and a refined topping. And to top it all off... a very pleasant atmosphere 😍

02/05/2026: We ate there: four of us, and they welcomed us after 9 pm without any problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and we waited about ten minutes for our order. The young woman was lovely.

01/01/2026: Incredible!!!! A huge thank you for this amazing seafood platter, both in terms of the care taken with the presentation and the quality of the shellfish. The lobster was more than perfect, the oysters were delicious, the whelks were perfect, and the shrimp were very plump and very tasty. Don't hesitate to go there; you won't be disappointed. We will gladly return because, in addition to the more than perfect products, the staff was really friendly and helpful. Thank you, sir.

14/11/2025: A very friendly and attentive team. A wide variety of choices among all the well-prepared fish. And the shellfish (mushrooms, mussels, shrimp...) prepared by the chef were delicious. A great starter idea that I highly recommend. It's a Friday ritual for us. 😉

12/05/2026: I only tried the restaurant, and it was a really pleasant surprise: in the heart of the Aspe Valley, you can truly enjoy simple yet refined French cuisine, delicious and excellent value for money! And all this with impeccable, friendly, and attentive service! Honestly, it's fantastic!

10/05/2026: The rooms are simple but sufficient. The inn has a restaurant and bar, and it's nice to be able to drink in the open garden. The view from the inn is exceptional. Having a gas station and supermarket right in front is a great convenience. You can drive to local cheese shops, markets, paragliding, and enjoy benches and tables along the small river.

23/11/2025: Unbeatable location in Place Louis XIV. We went with high expectations and the team at La Txalupa delivered. We started with a textbook Foie Gras: perfect texture and intense flavor. But the undisputed star is the Sole Plantxa (Sole). At €38 a dish, you expect quality, and they certainly delivered; fresh product, treated with absolute respect. Honorable mention to the wine (Gascogne Big Blc), a fantastic discovery for €22 that pairs beautifully with the fish. The service was surprisingly attentive and efficient for a tourist spot. The only downside: €5 for half a liter of Vittel water seems like highway robbery, but we forgive them for the final Gateau Basque. Recommended if you want quality and don't mind the price.

14/04/2026: A very good time, nice and very good restaurant

30/03/2026: We had a pleasant time at Boulevard, enjoying the view of the snow-capped Pyrenees during the hour-long wait before someone finally deigned to attend to our table. We ended up calling the waitress, who explained that she hadn't thought that part of the terrace was her responsibility, despite the chairs bearing a "B" logo (for Boulevard, I presume). So, as it was teatime, we asked for a menu. The waiter asked if we were going to order food, and we replied that it was possible before bringing it to us after several trips back and forth. When it came time to take our order, the new waiter informed us that desserts weren't served on that part of the terrace but suggested a charcuterie board instead 🤨 (the neighboring table was just as bewildered as we were). Oh well, we only ordered drinks, which we had to pay for upon arrival, with no discount, of course. Luckily, the unobstructed view accompanied us throughout this ordeal.

25/09/2025: Quite expensive, but they take advantage of the fact that it's all they have. We ordered hamburgers (sandwiches), which were average, but €16 each with fries.

20/12/2025: The owner is extremely unpleasant, even bitter. For a karaoke night dinner... never go there. We weren't supposed to touch the microphone, even though no one had said anything about it beforehand... the owner jumped on us, yelling... wow, it was completely outrageous. He even tried to hit my colleague... I'll never go back, not even for a group meal.

18/04/2026: The pizzas aren't bad, however the service leaves much to be desired... especially the owner who speaks to customers who haven't booked like dogs...it's surprising she hasn't encountered any violence...
