07/08/2026: It would have been totally ok, the fact that they absolutely have nothing except normal milk, and that they refuse to heat their own sandwiches. But the ATTITUDE! My goodness! The lady behind the counter made me feel like I'm crazy to be asking for these things!

You'll enjoy mussels marinière, prawns, rib-eye steak, and more in a warm, family atmosphere and a unique setting. The staff at this establishment is top-notch. The waiter, Julen, will make you feel right at home and take care of you like no other waiter in Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

08/08/2026: While searching for a typical lunch spot, we stumbled upon this restaurant, and we weren't disappointed. The staff was incredibly friendly. The tapas and main course were excellent, and the value for money was unbeatable. The waiter eventually convinced us to try his Basque cake, and we were so glad we did.

21/07/2026: There is a very beautiful view of the sea at sunset, but we had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food. THIS IS WAY TOO LONG AND NOT OKAY; people who came after us got their food earlier… because of this, we had a very bad experience.

23/01/2026: I stopped by Hendaye on my layover on my way from Paris to San Sebastian. There's a wine shop at the front of the entrance and a wine bar at the back. They have a wide selection of wines by the glass, as well as beer and liqueurs. They also have a wide selection of tapas. The portions might be a little too much for one person. There didn't seem to be an English menu, but the staff were happy to assist me in English. They were very friendly and I felt at home.😊

14/08/2026: A very generous meal for €18 or €25, typical regional cuisine, with beautifully presented dishes of excellent quality. A must-try, you won't be disappointed. Underrated for its quality, it deserves at least 4.5 overall.

12/08/2026: In this age of the internet, check the restaurant's payment information and you'll stop crying foul, especially since you've surely already looked at the menu and prices! Auguste hasn't accepted credit cards for years because of the associated fees. We go back regularly and are very satisfied with the value for money and the portion sizes. As for the tourists who find the owner unpleasant, start by behaving properly!

02/07/2026: Excellent, homemade food. They have a daily special; in our case, it was Iberian pork with cheese sauce, potatoes, and salad. The waiter speaks Spanish. Don't miss the dessert; we tried the chocolate cake and an apple crepe—both delicious.

20/07/2026: This is a fantastic restaurant! We had a wonderful meal; I personally enjoyed a porcini mushroom omelet which was absolutely delicious. Not to mention the kindness of the waiter who made our experience so enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant 😋

27/06/2026: Without a doubt, the worst restaurant I've ever dealt with. We were a group of eight when we went to this restaurant. As a vegetarian, the owner was extremely unpleasant, even contemptuous, towards me. My colleagues were equally shocked. Dear Sir, even if your restaurant doesn't specialize in vegetarian cuisine, you still have a duty to be courteous. That's the very principle of hospitality in a restaurant. Therefore, I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.
