30/11/2024: We came here because what caught our attention the most was that the menu was in Spanish. We ordered two dishes and a starter. The starter was brought out quickly but the next dish took almost 20 minutes. The food is normal, nothing to write home about. The worst, without a doubt, was the wine... my God, you didn't know where to take it... when you finished drinking it you even got chills. I asked the waitress what wine they had given us (not to ask for more) and she told us that Bourdoix is ​​the best wine and the one we like the most here. I doubt it because we went to drink more wines there and none of them tasted the same.

09/12/2025: A quick stop for a drink. The menu looked tempting, so I decided to eat there. I chose pork cheek with truffle-infused dauphinoise potatoes: sublime. A small, family-run bistro – go there, you won't be disappointed.

26/10/2025: Coffee with milk for €3! Served in dirty cups (one with lipstick marks from other customers) and burnt. The place looked a bit dirty too. We didn't try any food.

10/11/2025: I was extremely disappointed by the Basque cake with cream; the cream was now just a thin, rubbery layer. It's nothing like the quality it was a few years ago! New owners...?

28/10/2025: For the past six years, every time we're in the area, we make a detour to the mill to buy the corn cake that my boyfriend loves so much. The welcome is often so unpleasant that it makes us not want to come back… Yet, we still return for the cakes we love, especially the corn cake and the cream cake. The place seems so peaceful and charming, but once you step through the mill's door, you're greeted by an extraordinary coldness from the saleswoman. It's a shame; it ruins everything. 😕

21/10/2025: Never seen anything like it. Nonexistent service, sloppy cooking, no consideration for the customer. Scalding hot, overcooked, limp prawns, thrown unpeeled on two wilted salad leaves—it was supposed to be prawn salad. Seriously? The kids' menu? An insult. Nothing good, everything is greasy and full of oil, not even the bare minimum. We ended up laughing about it, but in hindsight: a sandwich bought in a bakery, facing the sea, would have been a feast compared to this. Move on. There are much better options—everywhere else.

19/10/2025: Pleasant servers. Service a little slow, but the complimentary coffee was a nice touch. Personally, I found the cipirrons too oily (needs to be improved).

09/01/2026: I ordered a pizza for delivery, it arrived cold, even frozen, inedible. I paid €30 for it to end up in the bin. A waste that wasn't my fault.

06/01/2026: I don't have an opinion on pizzas, but when you have a car emblazoned with your business's logo, to advertise it properly, you'd better drive well. In this case, that's definitely not the case. The person behind the wheel of the small, boxy, black hybrid car with the Leaning Tower 2 Pisa logos drives extremely badly, runs red lights, and does all sorts of crazy things at roundabouts; it makes for very bad publicity.

11/11/2025: I received a very warm welcome from a charming, smiling saleswoman with a Canadian accent. The raisin bread is delicious, and their Basque beret cake is amazing. Their baguette (the festive kind?) is of very good quality. I'm surprised by the other reviews...

12/10/2025: Excellent croissants 🥐 and loaves of bread 🥖. It's one of the two bakeries we frequent when we visit Saint-Jean-de-Luz. The stock sells out fast from early morning, and from midday onward, it's hard to find anything but a regular baguette. The same goes for the pastries.

11/09/2024: The positive points of the apartment were undoubtedly the bed, certainly a little hard but very comfortable, its proximity to the seaside and the calm, no noise to be deplored throughout the night and complete darkness in the early morning! On the other hand, it was impossible to run the dishwasher, the VMC did not work either, so the bathroom was very humid and there was no shower siphon. The smell was more than unpleasant when we arrived. No maintenance or utility items in the kitchen area, no sponge, dishwashing liquid, tea towel, The elevator is broken in our building.

21/10/2025: A restaurant that far exceeds its ratings. While passing through Saint-Jean-de-Luz, we came across this restaurant even though it hadn't been recommended to us. The friendliness, the owner's wine recommendations, and the quality of the cod were all excellent.

28/09/2025: Avoid!!! Tourist trap Sangria diluted with water! Menu not worthy of a restaurant, a so-called paella served in a casserole dish, undercooked risotto, no saffron, no chorizo, no shrimp, a disgrace!!! Fried smelts, no accompanying sauce, Iberian charcuterie, not even butter!!! Nothing!! Long wait between the starter and the main course!!!

21/11/2024: Very pleasant bar, the cocktails are excellent and generous. The servers are adorable and always remain helpful and smiling even if they can sometimes be overwhelmed by work!

27/10/2024: If on the slate easel it says AT THE HAPPY HOUR BAR THE PINT OF GUINESS €5 and when you are served at the table it is €8 But when the online menu the pint of Guiness is €7 and not €8 as I paid! That’s a big difference and the 3 different prices for the same pint of Guiness still smell like a calculated scam! And everyone accepts because these shameless unscrupulous traders take advantage of the fact that people no longer discuss these scams, because they come there to spend a moment with drinks where the family and no one wants to make a remark for fear of spoiling the evening for all ! RUN AWAY. - 3 bitter old managers behind the bar have only one ability: to shout at the young waitresses who arrive crying at our tables, without a manager to help them manage a 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. service. - Direct impact of their lack of organization: 30 minutes to get bread (!) 1h30 wait to get the main course (!!), tables tired of waiting everywhere, and managers who stir up even more air because they drown in a glass of water. - In fact, if you made the effort to ignore the wait and the dirty tables, you would think that the kitchen was ok, but unfortunately it was almost cold on arrival, with pieces of glass in the dishes in sauce (!!!)
