19/04/2026: We came as a family. The location is lovely, but we had a bad impression right from the start because the tables, which were washed in front of us, weren't properly cleaned (the sides weren't wiped down and the entire surface wasn't cleaned). Then, the food was just okay. The prices are reasonable, but everything was frozen. They forgot the water bottles when we arrived. On the plus side, the presentation of the dishes and the very fresh shrimp were a plus, but the quality of the other products and the service were a major drawback. We were very disappointed with the so-called "homemade" fries, which were anything but.

17/05/2026: Awful. I'm not usually picky, but honestly, don't go there. The price seems attractive with their €19.90 set menu: starter + main course + dessert. It's easy to see why. - The salad and deviled eggs were completely processed, minimalist, and uninteresting. - The chorizo ​​burgers were clearly frozen. Ours were identical, a truly astonishing comparison. They didn't even ask how we wanted them cooked. - The rice pudding was mushy, with an awful texture. The dessert in a glass contained a quarter of a soft white cheese at the bottom, not even fresh—I pointed it out to the waiter—accompanied by a so-called red fruit coulis. Despite everything, the waiters were friendly. Two desserts were wandering around the room because they couldn't remember which table they were for… they finally brought us an extra rice pudding. At least it gave us a chance to laugh with the other diners and the staff. The restrooms were filthy. I even saw a waiter wipe his hands on his apron as he came out of the restroom. We also got yelled at by the neighbor because our table was under his bedroom window! At least we'll remember it!

15/05/2026: We were asked to come inside when we looked at the menus outside. We ordered two set menus; while the starters were more or less fine, my Basque chicken arrived lukewarm, and the mussels for my husband were completely cold, so we sent them back for a warmer dish. After five minutes, the dish returned just as cold, so we decided to cut our lunch short. The owner listened to us and charged us for the dishes we had eaten and drunk from the menu. We were therefore at a loss.

06/07/2026: I really don't appreciate paying €5 for a Coke served by the glass, you're making a huge profit!!

29/06/2026: We knew this restaurant when it was called Bodega Plancha and the food was very good; I left a good review. Now, the €21.90 set menu wasn't worth it: three sardines for a starter, a poorly served flank steak with a bad sauce, and tasteless rice pudding. And all the drinks at €5.50—diabolo, iced tea, or beer—the water wasn't cold... Since it's now two restaurants with one kitchen, I think the quality has dropped considerably; I won't be going back.

21/10/2025: Never seen anything like it. Nonexistent service, sloppy cooking, no consideration for the customer. Scalding hot, overcooked, limp prawns, thrown unpeeled on two wilted salad leaves—it was supposed to be prawn salad. Seriously? The kids' menu? An insult. Nothing good, everything is greasy and full of oil, not even the bare minimum. We ended up laughing about it, but in hindsight: a sandwich bought in a bakery, facing the sea, would have been a feast compared to this. Move on. There are much better options—everywhere else.

19/10/2025: Very disappointed... a sharing platter... or not! Only enough for one person for €19! The monkfish tail with chorizo, cooked on the griddle, was burnt and tiny for €20. The children's menu of chicken and fries... as well-cooked as the fish, which came with an ice cream stick. €13... a bit steep! The table was wobbly and the chairs uncomfortable... despite having a reservation, we ended up with chairs and tables pushed aside (which is a shame). Luckily, the rosé was good! 🤣

He cannot be held responsible for discussions that take place behind his counter or in front of his shop with people who feel attacked because of their so-called disability, which is nothing more than their laziness, which they use as a crutch and which allows them to live off the backs of society. 09/10/2025: Exceptional setting a few meters from the port and the beach. It's the only acceptable restaurant in the area and we were very disappointed. No water or bread at the table. The dishes offered on the menu do not exist. I told you "no paella, prawns, monkfish, fish..." said the waiter. The ham croquettes are mostly potato croquettes. The mussels with chorizo ​​are swimming in a pink creamy sauce and most are already detached from their shells. They do not contain chorizo. The waiters are tattooed thugs in shorts. We miss the service of yesteryear in restaurants and when will there be an acceptable restaurant in this corner of Hendaye?

09/06/2026: I've never eaten such a bad Basque chicken. The chicken was dry with tomato sauce thrown on top without any preparation, and the Basque cake was the same—I think it was frozen. It's a shame, because the service was excellent; the waitresses were kind and professional. It's a tourist trap. We'll never go back.

07/06/2026: Absolutely avoid this place!!! My husband ordered a burger and I ordered a paella. There was mold on the burger bun; we should have left!!! The waitress took the plate away and didn't say a word to us, no apologies, nothing. We just came back to get my paella to keep it warm. The dishes came back, and my paella was incredibly dry from being under the grill. There was chicken, a piece of thigh cut in half, very poor quality and a huge disappointment, with no one even apologizing. Our neighbors ordered mussels. The customer told the waitress they weren't good, and the waitress offered her a different dish—that says it all! It's this kind of experience that puts you off going to restaurants. We should have checked the reviews before setting foot in this "restaurant."

26/04/2026: Disastrous stay. We paid for accommodation in an unacceptable state. * No electrical outlets in the bedroom. * One outlet in the kitchen is coming loose from the wall (dangerous). * Shower full of mold. * Yellowed and dirty cushions. * Greasy pots and pans upon arrival: we had to wash everything again. * Completely rusted metal dish rack. * Towel rack in poor condition. The accommodation is clearly poorly maintained: * The area under the bed is dirty, full of dust and grime (visible in the photos). * The door doesn't close properly, with a visible gap between the door and the wall. * The shutter was "repaired" on the first day, but by the next day it was already broken (impossible to open or close). We were told someone would come back to fix it: we waited all day for nothing, and no one showed up. We paid for a comfortable stay and ended up in a dirty, neglected, and dangerous place. I've attached numerous photos that prove the true state of the accommodation. Absolutely avoid this place.

25/04/2026: The initial welcome was very good, but everything else needs to be redone: outdated furniture, neglected swimming pool, unsanitary and outdated residence, everything is dirty, dilapidated terrace without an awning, and so on. Avoid at all costs!! I will not return. How can they rent in this condition? It's far from four stars 🌟 Shameful

05/04/2026: I went to this establishment for a drink, but my experience was very disappointing. The waiter was particularly unpleasant, which made the experience rather unpleasant. Furthermore, when it came time to pay, we were informed that credit cards weren't accepted, even though this hadn't been mentioned at the beginning or clearly displayed anywhere. This lack of transparency and hospitality is truly regrettable. I do not recommend this establishment.

27/05/2026: The restaurant's terrace is in a very pretty square. Period. Everything else was bad. The waitress's service was among the worst I've ever received. The food was bland, and the flavor relied solely on the sauces. Despite choosing from a page that listed four starters and four main courses, and a box specifying "€20 menu: starter, main course, and coffee," we were ultimately charged for individual dishes. When we protested, they told us that wasn't the menu, that the menu was on a small chalkboard at the hotel entrance—20 meters away, across the street! Of course, we were never informed of this. Finally, the manager's reaction was unpleasant, rude, and defiant; she was shouting most of the time. In short, we paid €60 for two mediocre set menus instead of the €40 listed.

21/05/2026: We ate on the restaurant's terrace, and the food was terrible. It wasn't good quality, and it was incredibly expensive. The service was awful; they took ages to attend to us and even longer to serve us. We practically had to digest between courses. I definitely don't recommend it. If you come to town, go to the main square; there are several much better options.
