18/08/2026: Although I think the name has changed, the place is definitely worth a visit. We had some savory sandwiches, pastries, and of course, macarons, all on their small terrace in the square. Everything was delicious, the prices were good for what you got, and it's in a very quiet spot right in the center of Pau.

03/10/2026: There are two gluten-free options on the menu, both sweet. We had a sort of "healthy" dark chocolate bar with an almond flour base, peanut butter, and a chocolate topping. It was good. A cortado was €2.90. A bit pricey, but the service was good, and it was the only gluten-free place we found open in the afternoon (at 4 pm; this place closed at 6:30 pm). The place is nice, and the service was friendly.

20/03/2026: Excellent value for money, quiet location. Good and plentiful breakfast. Easy to find, its location south of Bayonne allows you to head towards Spain without being held up by morning traffic!

15/03/2026: Overall, I had a good stay. The room was generally pleasant. A minor point for improvement: the shower head could be checked, and adding a shower curtain would be helpful to prevent splashes in the bathroom. Thank you to Lola for her warm welcome and understanding at reception.

Everything is homemade, the meat is perfectly seasoned and spiced… incredible, you have to taste it to understand! 17/09/2026: I wanted to introduce this place to my friends who were visiting the Basque Country. The service was a bit slow, but more importantly, the hot chocolate, which was supposed to be hot, was lukewarm… When it came time to pay, I mentioned it to the cashier, who casually replied, without any apparent concern, that I should have mentioned it sooner. We're talking about an €8 hot chocolate here! At that price, the quality should be impeccable and doesn't tolerate anything less than perfection. I remembered it as an excellent hot chocolate. Apparently, that's no longer the case, because after reading several recent reviews, I see that we weren't the only ones disappointed. Reputation alone isn't enough to guarantee excellence. You have to work at it every day. I won't be going back. There are other places in Bayonne.

It felt like the waiter was deliberately ignoring us. My wife and I were sitting at the table while he served people who had arrived after us. He didn’t even bother to take our order. In the end, we left without being served.
