05/06/2026: At reception, they offer you a drink (we had a simple glass of water with a little syrup) which is charged for! At dinner, the waitress didn't know what the daily special was! In the end, the lasagna on the menu was reheated and probably not fresh. Breakfast was rather basic. For pilgrims, this place is not recommended given the price/quality ratio.

12/05/2026: If you're familiar with the Louis de Funès film "L'Aile ou la Cuisse" (The Wing or the Thigh), and especially the line "Where are the toilets?", to which the innkeeper replies, "Follow the flies," you'll feel right at home. The rooms are outdated and nothing like the ones on the website; you can hear the neighbor using the toilet. The meal was completely ordinary, with nothing Basque about it. This was the worst accommodation I've had in 10 days of walking the Camino de Santiago, and at €150 for a room with half-board, it's nowhere near the standard of a Logis hotel. I gave my opinion after paying, and the person's response was, "I'll pass it on"... eloquent indeed!

20/03/2026: Excellent value for money, quiet location. Good and plentiful breakfast. Easy to find, its location south of Bayonne allows you to head towards Spain without being held up by morning traffic!

15/03/2026: Overall, I had a good stay. The room was generally pleasant. A minor point for improvement: the shower head could be checked, and adding a shower curtain would be helpful to prevent splashes in the bathroom. Thank you to Lola for her warm welcome and understanding at reception.

21/07/2026: At the entrance to, or exit from, the town. You don't have to look far to eat well and visit the city.

02/08/2026: Huge disappointment!!! Change of concept!!! LeBarmouth is gone…. Very expensive!!! No more homemade fries… disappointing hamburger… I won't be going back…

21/08/2026: L'Alaïa boasts an exceptional location, with a magnificent view of the bay, ample parking nearby, and a lovely promenade perfect for after your meal. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the restaurant staff are friendly and attentive. The menu is varied, and the dishes are well-prepared. And... finally, a restaurant that serves a truly decent Caesar salad—generous and delicious—for just 18 euros! For my wife and me, it's one of the best restaurants in Saint-Jean-de-Luz/Ciboure/Urrugne in terms of value for money, and undoubtedly the best for its location!

20/08/2026: A lovely spot right on the beach. A very friendly welcome. The dishes were beautifully presented and excellent. Just one small complaint about the dessert (pavlova), which I found less impressive than the rest of the meal.

10/04/2026: Four coffees ordered and well served, no problem. Just one surprise upon arrival: I had to move my car to park "elsewhere" because, according to the waiter, I was parked in his business partner's space. This partner arrived just as we were leaving the establishment. To add to my comment, there were only five or six cars parked in this lot of about forty other spaces, all completely empty. The closest space to the door would have, in fact, forced the partner, this poor man, to walk four meters further than from "HIS" space, a space which, incidentally, had absolutely no indication of private property or designated disabled parking. Annoying. However, the coffee was good. Serge.

21/03/2026: The staff and the owner are very friendly. Good food. Parking is easy as there's a large car park in front.

22/07/2026: The app, while overly secure and zealous, is REALLY a pain to use: it forces you to change your password far too often, which systematically erases your payment information. Are there any planned improvements to address this?

13/07/2026: We've been customers for over 5 years. There are a few stock shortages on Mondays, but otherwise it's great.

02/08/2026: The food was simple and good, but I was very surprised by the service, which left much to be desired: long waits, disregard for customer requests. Very unpleasant, and the waiter offered no apology other than demanding payment of the bill! As a resident of Anglet, this was very disappointing!

31/07/2026: Good restaurant offering a variety of Asian dishes from China, Japan, and Vietnam. I was there during a busy period, but the wait was more than reasonable.

28/07/2026: The staff pushes you to buy more wine, and they also bring you bottles of wine that have already been opened – a rip-off, as it's clearly filled with boxed wine!

04/07/2026: The pizzas are very good, the ingredients are plentiful and of high quality, and the service is wonderful (in Spanish).

14/06/2026: Bad pizza, practically no toppings on two out of three. That's it, we won't be going back there, expensive and bad.

06/08/2026: The welcome and service were very friendly and attentive. The buffets were attractive and offered a good range of quality and quantity. We had a lovely time as a family.
