31/05/2026: The hotel is very well located, right in the center of Evian. The little train is nearby, and the pedestrian street (Rue Nationale) is just behind it. Santa is very friendly and welcoming. The room was decent, and the breakfast was plentiful. The only downside was the slightly cramped bathroom.

11/05/2026: Véronique and the whole team gave us a wonderful welcome. They were incredibly attentive. The hotel is well located opposite the lake, right in the center and close to all amenities.

07/08/2026: We went for dinner and, despite there being plenty of tables set, they told us they only did takeout. It would be good if they mentioned this on their profile, as we had to find another restaurant and they close early in France…

13/09/2026: We stopped completely by chance at L’Escapade Gourmande during our trip, and honestly, what a wonderful surprise! A very warm welcome, excellent service, and truly delicious food. Everything was there for a great time. It just goes to show that unexpected stops can sometimes lead to the best discoveries! 😊 We highly recommend it.

13/09/2026: A fantastic restaurant that my partner and I discovered by chance while stopping in Riberac for dinner one Sunday evening. We received a very warm welcome even though we didn't have a reservation. Sunday evenings are pizza night, and we had a choice of 43 different pizzas. There's something for everyone! The crust was excellent, and they also had great cocktails and delicious desserts. We highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back to try their food again on a Saturday.

10/09/2026: We had a wonderful time at Trattoria Lesca’l in Pugnac, near Bordeaux. I chose the Caesar salad with chicken and my husband had the Ortiva pizza. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals; everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared! We particularly appreciated the warm welcome. The waiter was very friendly, smiling, and attentive. He also gave us great tips on places to visit in the area, which we really appreciated. A truly wonderful discovery, both for the food and the service. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back! ❤️

09/09/2026: Prices up, portions down, and appalling service… A huge disappointment for this restaurant, which we used to frequent regularly. The portions have clearly shrunk: €27 for a particularly meager plate of pasta. We trusted the waiter to choose a glass of wine each, without being informed of the price: €8 for one, €13 for the other, which we only discovered when the bill arrived… Our dishes were also served at least 15 minutes apart, leaving one of us waiting while the other ate. And, to top it all off, a particularly unpleasant waiter who preferred to blame us rather than apologize. Obviously, we won't be returning.

01/09/2026: Two people were refused entry at lunchtime because they hadn't made a reservation… no problem… except that the three gentlemen behind us turned around because they hadn't made a reservation either… and then the owner/waiter stopped them and said, “You didn't make a reservation, but I can't seat two, but I can seat three?” The owner was a bit cheeky and unpleasant! This place is not recommended because they pick and choose their customers… very questionable business practices.

27/08/2026: I just bought a 50cl bottle of Vittel water for 4.90 euros. Even in Switzerland I wouldn't have paid that price. They're real thieves, especially the person taking the payment.

13/07/2026: Thank you for this wonderful evening, just like being at home, and that's an understatement. The staff were lovely, and the food... well, let's just say it was amazing! Thank you to Mamma for the Milanese veal cutlets (yes, several, because there was more than one on the plate!), prepared according to my Sicilian grandmother's time-honored recipe. All accompanied by a good Sicilian wine. Don't hesitate... this restaurant is perfect for big eaters on a budget, but be sure to book: €65 for two courses, two coffees, and a bottle of wine at €24 (the most expensive option).

12/07/2026: Visited in the middle of summer, air conditioning not on. The pizza was a bit bland, but the service was pleasant despite the wait during the busy season.

26/08/2026: Honestly, it's spotless, but there's a sign saying "Closed in August, reopening on August 25th." Yesterday it was closed, and today is August 26th, and it's closed again. I want my pizza! I want my pizza! Open up! Open up! Please! 😁
