31/08/2024: Oubli d’une tranche d’orange dans la martini rouge chose qui relève de l’impossible. Pas de corbeille à pain à disposition obligé de redemander 3 fois le pain, je sais que les gens aime ma voix mais je préfère la réserver pour mes concerts sous la douche. Repas bon mais pas excellent, café gourmand qui relèverait plus du café néant. Cordialement

20/09/2024: We had an extremely disappointing and infuriating experience at Via Roma in La Rochelle. After driving all day from the south, we stopped around 7:15 pm to have dinner. From the moment we arrived, the servers were rude. When I inquired about a specific dish, the waiter sarcastically responded, “Why would you have that?” He then switched our waitstaff, claiming he didn’t speak English. Meanwhile, he had no problem chatting and playing with a passerby’s dog. Our new server, a young lady, was polite and took our orders: one Caprese salad, spaghetti Napolitana, one wine, and one beer. The spaghetti was terrible, but since we had to drive to Carnac, we ate a little to settle our stomachs. Earlier, we had a starter at a nearby seafood place that only served small plates, which is why we came here hoping for a full meal. We were seated at table 6 outside, and our bill came to 42 Euros. However, we were told to pay inside at the register, and they refused to accept our credit card. They swiped my card, and we left. Shockingly, when I returned home and reviewed my bank statement, I discovered they had charged my card $333. The restaurant claimed to my bank that this was the correct amount, which is utterly absurd. We spent just 25 minutes there, dissatisfied with the food and service. We left in a hurry and didn’t get a receipt, only realizing the scam after checking our statements. Despite providing photos of our time there, the bank refused to help us recover our money, saying the charge was justified as we handed our card to be swiped. This establishment has essentially robbed us of our hard-earned money for a terrible dining experience. Tourists, please beware: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Do not use your debit or credit cards here—pay cash if you must go. No one answers the phone or responds on their Google page. This restaurant is a complete scam. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from Via Roma!

30/08/2024: It's worth mentioning right away that the waitress refused to speak English, which I would now expect in a holiday resort where everyone has English at school in France. She was very unfriendly, water and glasses were simply left out without comment. The pizza was very tasteless and burnt at the bottom. We didn't even ask if we wanted something to drink, she cleared the plates and took the bill brought. Not all very customer friendly.

La pâte est fine est bien garnie Mais 16 la petite pizza qui correspond à une normal ailleurs et 22 la big, on est dans le haut des prix. Mais pourquoi pas Par contre, je mets 3 étoiles pour le service au comptoir de la pizza. La première fois que je vois ça. La pizza est cher et l'on doit la chercher au comptoir alors qu'il y a une serveuse.... je suis peut être vieux jeux mais bon Donc oui pour l'assiette mais non pour le prix et le non service...

13/07/2024: This was a REALLY busy place, and the waiters were rushed off their feet. Easy to see why, the food was beautiful. Pizzas were flying out with their light base. My kids had bolognaise and it was great and I had the goats cheese salad. Flavours were unreal. Really worth a try. Reasonable cost.

18/09/2024: Gentillesse assurée de l’accueil (particulièrement pour les petits enfants !) qualité constante de la cuisine (hmmm les rigatoni à la truffe sur lesquelles le patron en râpe généreusement des copeaux…), originalité des desserts (miam la pana cotta à la poire et au chocolat), modestie des prix : rien à redire !

24/07/2024: Nous avons été attirés par le cadre enchanteur et la proximité de la Charente … jolie terrasse … tout commence bien … Le serveur charmant nous demande d’éviter une entrée car la cuisine ne va pas suivre … bizarre … on prend le risque (nb une heure et demi après on était sortis ) Les plats sont fades. On fait mieux à la maison … le carbonara : on y a tous les quatre goûté, voici nos commentaires : Pas bon ! Goutte l’eau ! Et perso j’y trouve un goût de vanille pas bon du tout !!! La pizza est fade Le rigatoni devient une simple pâte … sans intérêt Bref n’y allez pas ! Point positif : le cadre à l’intérieur est très chouette …

22/09/2024: Very good pizza, very good value for money. The staff and boss are always very welcoming and friendly. Special mention for the homemade panna cotta which are very good!

16/09/2024: Going for the 5th time to this restaurant discovered through the show nightmare in the kitchen, we discovered a nice setting, a boss, Julien, smiling and commercial and a rather extensive menu. An unconditional fan of Milanese escalopes, I always had this dish with a nice piece of meat, well garnished and very good. So imagine my disappointment when the dish in the photo arrived... a total incomprehension... it looked like a children's menu of frozen nuggets and fries... no kidding, go to the restaurant to eat this at 18balls... I would have done better at home. My friend's pizza was salty as ever and burnt on the bottom. A sodebo pizza would have been better. And my friend had pasta, good let's be honest but also proportionate for children. To err is human and we could have understood if, however, the owner, despite our complaints to his waitress, had had the decency to come and see us. Snubbing us despite our complaints does not work. Too bad, we won't come back.

21/08/2024: A good pizzeria that offers Italian dishes and therefore pizzas. They are cooked over a wood fire and are quite well stocked. We also had a Milanese escalope, which was giant (see photo). The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are attentive, well done. In short, I recommend it to you.
